Engine sounds pretty healthy. Looks like a leak around the PCV valve on the front valve cover. You can pick up a new grommet and PCV valve for about $10 from any automotive hardware store. Engine will be a happy with a new valve and grommet. Also sounds like an air leak coming from the rear of the engine somewhere. Sounds like an air hissing noise. Look into that. Nice revs. Should perform well as it is but with the fixes I described above it should pull a little stronger. ;)
Thankyou. Yeah the front valve cover gasket has a small leak too. Since its running perfectly right now i thought i'd wait it out a bit and change the valve cover gasket and pcv at the same time since im not losing any oil between changes. Or if i decide to i might just change it out soon. And i don't know about any hissing, looked around but couldn't really find anything, i shall check again though but i haven't really heard any air leaks. I know the air filter housing had a big hole the size of a quarter in it that the previous owner had sealed with some cough drop plastic and electrical tape which i fixed, but other than that i dont see anything. Thanks again DJ, I'm 2.5v6 from the forums on mazda626.net btw lol
Affan Haq Sounds like you've got it under control then. I search for Mazda 626 videos on youtube. Just part of my daily routine. ;) Keep doing what you're doing. Your engine sounds good.
