How will the chickens stay in the fence? Won't they just jump up on the shelter and hop out? I know my chickens would! Love how Rachel cared about snickers potentially last chipmunk dinner but decided to save it despite being upset about it

LOL your chipmunk story brought back memories from a longtime ago when I was 13 and visiting Upstate here in NY. A feral barn cat had gotten a hold of the poor fella so duty called! Luckily I was able to get a hold of the cat and wiggle the chipmunk out of his mouth. Sadly the little guy was not moving, I thought I was too late. That was until he stopped playing opossum and started to defend his life and bit me real good and ran off. Don't blame him and I would do it again!

@@southernbelle3995 like I said we live right up to the mountains so we have the coyotes evidently owls which I did not know and we do have a hawk that’s a new thing that’s flying around to and bobcats.
We’ve always had big dogs like the great Pyrenees and Newfoundlands but about 15 years ago I wanted a little dog, our family has never had a little dog, not my parents or grandparents so we rescued a Pomeranian when we had our great Pyrenees still and they were best friends she was his baby LOL, but I feel better when we’re outside that he was there to protect her. I have since downsized to an 80 pound male German Shepherd, lab and border collie mix and a two-year-old Pomeranian that we rescued, she is his baby and she goes nowhere without him following her, he’s such a good daddy. Thank goodness Pomeranians are the little big dog, they have no idea that they are small and she acts just like the big dogs. She won’t even play with small toys, she even has to carry around the extra large bones that are as big as her haha
Needless to say the thought of something coming in my yard and taking my dog is such a nightmare of mine. When that happened to that Logan Paul, that’s his name, where his five-year-old Pomeranian was taken by a coyote and it ripped me up inside.UGH So do you have a newer puppy? What kind? You should think about raising the shade roof off the ground with a few cinder blocks on each side. It would off them more shade and not so cramped. I'd also move it away from the corner as snakes will have an easier place to hide. Moving it away from the edge of the woodland would offer better protection against wildlife.

Hits wonderful seeing all the animals. The baby emus are growing so fast all thin legs and long necks. They are adorable. Thank you for the video.

Careful with your diamond ring - the claws should be checked for wear and tightness and especially don't bang them on a shopping cart or let your birds peck them. I feel bad every time my ring tings anything and I never wear them at home doing household or outside work. My mom thought that she lost her diamond feeding the chickens so I have been extra careful with mine. She eventually found it under the car mat - the fun was looking for the diamond at the chicken coop...lol! It was a long standing joke. I have had the claws on my diamonds repaired - they do wear out.

Smeegle reminds me of my old cat! He was such a predator that one day he was dragging the back hindquarters and leg of a deer backwards out of the woods trying to get it up to the back deck! He even liked to play with and eventually kill crickets! 😝

Our old cat loved to catch bugs and sit on them LOL she would literally wiggle her butt all over sitting on them and then stop take a peek to see if they’re still there and then start sitting and wiggling on them again. It would make us laugh for the longest time. Now our Pomeranian who just turned two does it too LOL what kind of animals am I raising?

Maybe they would try the fruit if it was bite size. Enjoy you so much. Highlight of my day. Except maybe for my quilting shows.

I agree, bite size is important since they are just learning about fruits. Great catch. You are doing a great job on your farm! Have a Blessed week 😀.

Can't the chickens get on top of the duck house and fly over the fence? Maybe put it next to the barn! Try grapes with the emus.
