I don't like the hatred,greed and murder part. How can someone do this to another human being? Why don't they call the police in these situations?Are rich people above the law?How can one enjoy all that cruelty?And what's with the slapping?We don't go around slapping people.

You do know the voices are AI and not real people right? Not a single "English Dub" in mini c-dramas is real for that matter, and some are so bad it's not funny. I've seen this show in the original Mandarin and it's night and day; 99% of the time these dubs are a very poor and loosely created version of the actual translations and this show is no exception. Wish I could find the original again, but like most of the good older shows these OPs are removing them to either give us these bad AI versions or 15 often word-for-word copies of a show just using different actors. It's sad honestly, c-dramas are best when seen in their original voices - the raw emotions, feelings, anger, tears, and especially words of affection and love just can't be reproduced by these AI voices. :(

The nurse called Ms. Gwen’s dad claiming she is about to fight but in all actuality she was the only person who was going to get hit in this case so I wouldn't call it a fight😂 3. It was funny asf when Ms. Gwen’s dad kicked her for not shutting up ( I noticed a trend that in these dramas family comes 2nd to money because the parents always switch up on their kids when money is compromised ) 4. Lastly, his face when the grandma says “that's good” after Vivian states she’ll poison him was hilarious also. 😂😂

The amount of injustice at the beginning of this drama is disgusting....I'd like to think that severe bullying in the workplace as well as old people being badly beaten by thugs in broad daylight in China, with no one stopping them, is not reality over there...for the first half hour of this drama all you see is the FL getting so badly mistreated it's horrible...and what's even worse is she just lets them and never stands up for herself or fights back....like she has no brain....it's just so bad... then all of a sudden half way through the drama she has a personality change...😮 plus why didn't they bury the evil scheming witch instead after she was just about to bury them ? The evil ones get off way too easy by these writers !
ML's mom looks so cold, calculating... and after she sees her son suffering and getting drunk - she supports and cheers him on for his marriage to FL :) and she herself is well tuned to FL and is so loving, warm to her.... Like such a dream relationship [mother-in-law - daughter-in-law]
I don’t like AI generated voice also but at least this drama used appropriate gender and age. Most AI generated voice use only 1 voice for everybody and that is the most aggravating, I don’t bother watching them. This drama is pretty decent and almost like a short movie than a very low budget drama. A good watch, bad people got their punishment.

I put this as a comment reply but also want to put this as a normal post for those that don't read comment replies. I get that Westerners want dubs, and for things such as anime, some of the longer c-drama tv series, and/or some films dubbing has been around since I was a kid (though thankfully we've come a LONG way from the badly dubbed voicing of my 1970s/80s youth lol!). When it comes to these 1 - 3 hr mini c-dramas however, it honestly just isn't needed. And people PLEASE - stop being fooled into thinking these are real voices ... they AREN'T, the voices are AI generated, and badly done at that. I just don't get why you would want to replace such a lovely language as Mandarin with these horrible voices - they have zero emotion to them; they sound flatter than paper, and then there's the fact that 99% of the time they aren't even close to the actual translations. I've seen this show in its original Mandarin and I can tell you it's night and day between them - these AI voices just can't capture the angers, resentments, tears, fears, funny moments, and most importantly the love and affection of the ML/FL. I clicked in on this because I was hoping it was the original brought back ... sadly though I couldn't even get past 10 min before I gave up in frustration. I just wish I had downloaded the original to my hard-drive when I had the chance, unfortunately though at the time this aired about 6 months or so ago I didn't know about the snapdownloader programme yet (I thank the Gods that a commenter on another show told me about it, now I can't live without it!). Ah well, now I can only hope that the original comes back again so I can get it this time; despite that it has all the usual tropes it's still a great show - I'm a sucker for c-dramas where they promise to marry as kids, part ways for years, find each other again and end up happy and in love. :)

The voices, added sounds, etc are funny but I'm tired of seeing the FL acting so cocky and dumb towards the ML, even when they're being the best bf or husband. *The last few I watched have been this exact formula 😂
The A.I voice translation makes the film boring cos if you can read lips or you look at there lips when they are talking you will thyroid mouths are not moving at the same pace
I know this show is considered "old" now, but does anyone know where I can hopefully find a copy in the original Mandarin? By now there should be one floating round, just like when they 1st put out the show of Luo Yuan finding her 7 brothers and grandfather ... 1st it came out as an AI dub then a few weeks later it finally was released in the original Mandarin (thankfully at that as the AI for that show was 100x worse than the ones used here). Anyway, this is such a great show so it really irks me that I have to watch it in silence because the voices are so awful, plus I'd really love to know how badly off the mark the subtitles are because there are a few places that the subs make no sense at all. So yeah - if anyone finds this in Mandarin, I don't care if it's 1 or 2 weeks or even a month from now can you please post the link up as a reply? I know those of us that detest these AI voices would be very grateful to you for the help! :)
