Thanks so much! It remember a time in the 90s when Gregorian chants were all the rage. Then a few years later we got Du Hast. We had no idea what was happening with either but the music conveyed the message of the song. I’m learning with a LOT of the Asian music (even the pop, dance and rap) I’ve been checking out that the message also conveys well with the music. "Nemophila" is a word that originates in the West (composed of Greek elements), and in English-language dictionaries I've looked at the word is given with the stress on the "mo" (or "moph"). In Japanese there's what's called pitch-accent rather than stress, and words have pitch-accent on one syllable or other (some shorter, two-syllable words are pronounced with no accent). In the case of "Nemophila" the pitch-accent is on the "la", with what some linguists call downstep on the "mo". I see no reason to pronounce Japanese band-names that are composed of non-Japanese words in the Japanese way. If we were to do that, then "Band-Maid" would be "Bando-Maido", "Lovebites" would be "Rabubaitsu" (i.e., rah-boo-bah-ee-tsu). For English-language y t purposes I think stress on the "phi" of "Nemophila" is fine. Quite a few reacters pronounce it that way.
@@OtobokeGaijin6218 Placing the emphasis on "mo" (or "moff") is the English way to pronounce the flower they are named after. But the band uniquely pronounces it differently from the usual English pronunciation. Oddly, given that the Greek roots are "nemos" and "philos," the English way that you mentioned (which is correct) is counterintuitive to how one would organically say it, and the way the band pronounces it, I feel, is more organic to the roots of the word than how we say it in the US (hey, we're Americans, we never pronounce anything correctly, lol).
They are all excellent musicians. And nemophila is a very unique and diverse band, with various genres of music appearing in their catalog. I recommend《oiran》live(recent one) or《rise》live as the next!🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
Nemophila are one of the best live bands on the planet...no kidding. Technically superb, versatile (from bangers like this to full-on power ballads with equal aplomb), and insanely charismatic. they have the full package. But if it is just a lyric video or just an audio clip with nothing to watch other than an album cover graphic, then go with Big You, Small Video.
