I bet 20 years from now people will still be getting those pro set packs in these boxes.
The original repacks from Walmart were the best. Had to have been 2011-2013
20 packs, $20
And only 5 or 6 were throwaway packs

I pulled a Travis Kelce 2013 Panini rookie auto numbered 5/10 out of this a couple days ago!
In my area when i find the fairfield boxes they just have all loose cards in them except for 1-5 card pack of Leaf draft. And then all the cards are from late 80s to late 90s.
I've never had luck with these "re-pack" boxes or sets. I usually ended up with a eh star here and there a has been rookie, and/or a never was, or wait worse yet....had massive value initially but then flopped.....lol. I remember the Todd Maranovich, Ryan Leaf, Tim Couch, Akili Smith, and so many other at the time high end rookies, that PFFT. Floated air biscuits. I even had Ki-Jana Carter, Jamarcus Russell, and again others. I missed, well I wasn't even thinking about collecting when Manziel hit the league. Thank God. Although I did get a Tim Tebow. I had a Starting Line-up "type" of him also.
And there is the inherent danger in collecting IF you plan on buying up lots of rookies. Back in the mid to late 80's and VERY early 90's I was doing business with a company in N.Y. I have zero idea of the name, but back then they were doing groups of rookies in 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 50, 100, and for some rare ones 500. Now I got a few Griffey Jr.(r). (15) 1989 Topps Traded. (10) 1989 Donruss Rated Rookies. (20) 1990 Topps Reg rookie. I know I ended up with 3 1989 Upper Deck Griffey Jr. & 2 1989 Fleer Rookie cards. They were way up there in price for 10+. I think I got 5 of one of them and as with all I used some as trade bait for other cards. Now those were HUGE for me. However I also bought lots of 25 and 50 of a few guys who now their cards are about as valuable as Cottonelle. I so enjoyed and loved the hobby so much. Those bulk cards I got I traded to local dealers. I was able to get a lot of great cards thanks to Ken Griffey. I have said before I lost my collection and haven't really been into it heavy since. But I still love the memories. There's NOTHING like opening a pack and finding that Grail card you've wanted so bad. It's a head spinning rush. Back then I did ok with bulk. As I said I made some BOMBS as well. 82 Fleer Fernando Valenzuela(r) x15@ $3.00ea.....Nuff said. Risk and reward. Now I'd be LOST.
I suppose for a not serious sports lover and one time collector, this would be the best bet however. I would like to get a Aaron Rodgers and a few other Packers. Maybe a rookie or 5...lol. As I said I'm not in the game but I remember the rush.
Most valuable cards out of that was the 2 fillers! Those things are gold. Group breakers won't sell me any since they use them for shipping. Haha

My 11 year old son just ripped one of these boxes last night and pulled a Score 1/1 Mariota Rookie Card Auto Printing Plate and a prestige quad jersey serial numbered to /299.....IN-FREAKING-SANE!!!!
I pulled a mahomes red blue press proof rated rookie out of 17 donruss retail.I was pretty stoked considering it was just a $8 blaster box on clearance :)

I went to target and I got one and because they were Fairfield I wasn’t expecting much but I was very surprised when I got 2 autos. I like them
I've bought 4 boxes 20 of the 32 packs have been Bowman university. And they're $18
The price point on these is great. I'll have to stop and get a box or two. Haven't done any cards in a good while.
at my walmart we used to have 8 packs for 7 bucks and i would get them all the time but they don't sell them anymore

I pulled a 2013 le'veon bell rookie jersey card out of 199 out of prestige pack
back in 2017 i pulled a Mahomes xtra points auto #'d100 out of a hangerbox from walmart.

Thanks man for not buying the whole store out👍. I get really irritated with another RUclipsr who does that for a ton of videos as a adult. Save these for the kids who saved their allowance for a week for some cards

Dont hate on Pro Set. Their cards always looked good. Score on the other hand was garbage back in the days. I know, I know the Sanders and Aikman rookies are valued at more in the 89 set but so what, Score just happened to not print as much. After 1990 Supplemental they've never made that mistake again. I wish Panini had gone with Pro Set instead of Score for their cheap-o sets. But even so it's not as if Score packs are any cheaper than Donruss, but Donruss is 10X better.

Believe it or not but those repack boxes were actually really good before 2015. The 20 pack boxes for 20.00 were the best. Now they give you less packs for the same price and half the box is junk packs. Go figure... Have not and will not buy anymore of these crap boxes....
