I can't describe how proud I am of LeeHi and B.I. This friendship is beyond beautiful. I'm just extremely happy and grateful. This song/MV is truly meaningful in every single way. And can we talk about the lyrics...like I have no words. Thank you for this masterpiece.

In the past, young BI saw the young Hayi getting rained on and with a bleeding nose. He came to her and gave her a rose lollipop and a handkerchief, but he never offered his umbrella to her. He turned his back on her and left her soaked in the rain. This portrays how young love can give you pain as much as it makes u happy. Young BI wanted to do something to make her feel better but he wasn't willing to share her pain yet. When you're young and in love, there are still things you can't do for the one that you love, there are still responsibilities you're not ready to take, and commitments you're not ready to commit to. Young love scares you so you tend to run away before you can even do something about it, taking your regrets and leaving the one you love in the rain.
In the video, the development of their characters were evident. BI no longer left Hayi soaked and in pain, he wiped Hayi's blood himself, gave her the lollipop and this time too, he gave his umbrella to her, he let himself get soaked, and even smeared his own nose with blood. He was no longer the same kid as before. Their love matured. Their love grew. He was willing to bare the pain of the girl he loves.

Leehi's nosebleed serves as her worries, flaws, and insecurities, and hanbin smearing it on his philtrum means he is willing to stay and share the burden leehi has been carrying. Man, leehi and hanbin sure are best of friends, you can clearly see it from their beautiful songs, the lyrics, and the message, it all hits different if it's leehi and hanbin collab.

비아이는 진짜 천재다 아이콘 노래들부터 해서 얘가 쓴 곡들 들을때마다 깜짝깜짝 놀람
That line "your the savior that has come to ruin me" because since young he's always been there for her to protect her and make her feel better even in moments he too was sad he's still there. He's always by her side when she needs him and does everything for her but somehow that "ruins" her because she fell inlove with him, without saying it loud/addmiting it or confessing her feelings thus the line "you already have a piece of my heart which I never given to you". She also grow very dependent on him but they're grown up now and anything can happened even if he wants to always stay by her side they both know he can't always be there. So He's letting her proctect herself on her own, instead of holding the umbrella for her he assures her it's ok she can do it herself too. Istead of wiping away the nosebleed just like he used too, he made her laugh over it like it's no big deal, it's a part of her.

Savior is literally BIHI’s story.
Hanbin and Hayi has known each other since 2014, when they were both 18.
Two teenagers who struggled so much to achieve their dreams.
Hanbin was most probably there during Hayi first few debut years when she suffered from all the fatshaming and cyberbullying on her stoic expressions back then.
When Hanbin was struggling with all the survival shows that YG threw at him predebut, Hayi was there, held faith and performed a hiphop Let It Go together.
When Hayi struggled with YG’s lack of activities for her, I believe BI was there with her - therefore No One was released.
Now that BI struggles with his past mistake, Hayi was there with BI for Daydream and Savior.
I believe this is a song about soulmates. BIHI are soulmates who held on to each other in their turbulent industry. And I want all the happiness and safety for them both.

Maybe newer fans are more understanding of the fact that it's all to bring most out of their professionalism. A CoEd group like KARD has been successful for the same reason, evident professionalism between artists to appeal with quality beefed with fanservice.
When the MV started with Hayi holding the umbrella alone and ending it with them together under one umbrella only shows the loyalty and support they have for each other through the years. The fact that Hayi chose Hanbin for this song, MV's storyline, and lyrics is a clear message that no matter what, she will always be there for him. Call it friendship or love but this is one of the most beautiful relationship we have in the industry. This MV is so well thought from beginning to end! The time that we waited as Hayi's fans really paid off with this album! What an art!

Hanbin wrote this whole song. I believe he wrote it specifically for Hayi. The most touching thing is the way Hayi kept Hanbin’s song as her new album’s title track, released the full MV showing a ton of Hanbin and kept his verse despite everything.
Releasing the song and MV is nothing because the investment has been made and it will definitely be released. But the way Hayi conscientiously, purposely kept Savior as her title and kept ALL of BI’s parts is truly brave, precious and loyal of her.

Hanbin wrote Lee Hi’s 1,2 but did not feature in that, Hanbin was in No One but his voice was complete cut away towards the end of promotions)
Title songs are the songs that will be promoted and have some sort of priority / most focus than the other non-title songs. Considering title songs are so important, usually agencies will not feature those who are facing controversial issues / they will change title songs / cut screen time to almost unseenable. (For example, (G)-IDLE’s previous comeback title Last Dance was re-recorded and had zero promotions).
AOMG always gives their artistes the decision-making rights therefore my comment stating that Hayi was so loyal to keep Savior as the title despite the circumstances.

Leehi's laughing expression when she saw Hanbin put fake nosebleed is so beautifully done. She was full of sadness but she genuinely thought it was funny, the expression showed like she's having a painfully funny moment.

My theory for the MV is that actually Hayi died when she was younger, probably through a brain aneurysm ( which would explain the constant nosebleed) and the scene where Hanbin gave her a rose lollipop is more him standing at her grave and leaving while crying. This would also explain why we don't see an inbetween of their relationship. Now Hayi's a lost soul or angel ( white dress, symbolism of the church), praying and waiting for them to be reconnected again. The long table between them still separates them, at the end maybe Hanbin also died, crossing the path towards her and imitating the nosebleed. Now they're finally reunited.

First scene, Hayi knew BI arrived at the church (afterlife) so she came looking for him. Notice how she’s looking around the empty church. She then prays. BI then walks in, and gives Hayi his “love” just like when they were young. She smiled when she saw him. (1:00) Looking at their expressions, it feels like they are meeting again after a long time.
It then showed their younger selves. My theory is that, BI broke Hayi’s heart in the past. Hayi’s prayed for BI to never leave her side, but he did.
“Will you able to stay by my side as long as I wish you to?”
Maybe when she told him that she’s going to die because of her illness, he left. Because he couldn’t bear the pain of seeing her health deteriorate. After all, he was just a kid. It was too much for him and walking away was the only thing he could do back then (2:40) “That you are the savior that has come to ruin me”
Then they met again in the afterlife. And this time he promised her that he will never leave her side. (1:34) Hayi still remembers the moment when he left her. And BI is just there standing by her side, assuring her he’s never leaving again. (1:54) In the scene where they’re having a meal, it’s evident that BI’s doing his best to make it up to her. Hayi still remembers the pain, she still feels the raindrops falling on her head when she looks at him. (2:17) BI stands up and wipes Hayi’s pain (raindrops) that was something he wasn’t able to do in the past when they parted.
Notice that BI always gives her both the lollipop & handkerchief. But when they parted, he only gave Hayi the lollipop in the rain, (1:25) symbolizing that he still loves her but he can no longer be there for her. Then present BI not only gave her the lollipop but also wipes the raindrops with the handkerchief.
(2:42) BI cries because he regrets what he has done in the past. And he knows she’s still healing from the pain he caused her, and that hurts him the most. The rap part is his love letter to her. He’s repenting and assuring her that it’s gonna be different now because they are together.
Followed by (3:35) BI smearing blood on his nose symbolizes that he’s now ready to take care of her, to make her happy and stay by her side just like she’s always wished for.
(3:47) The last scene, they are looking at their younger selves reminiscing the memories they shared. They’re both healing from the past, together. Forever.
😱😱😱 maybe then it can also indicate like During NO-ONE he had to left , leaving her alone(childhood version ) not being able to keep his promise, but that was at that time right thing to do (so he was crying leaving her)..
But as they again found each other this time they promised to face burden and stand together...

@@rinzietop to me there's a difference between artists and idols. idols have a burning passion for singing rapping and dancing with the song they perform, sometimes they do make their own music too but the way I see it sometimes they try to please their fans more.
artists on the other hand create the music they perform, do you know either Lee Hi or B.I? do you know that B.I is under trial yet Lee Hi came out with a song with him? do you think it'll be good for her image in SK (a country who judges idols so heavy on such petty things) to be seen with him like this? she risked receiving hate but in my point of view she didn't care about it, she very much wanted to share her music more than she cared about other's opinion.

@@astylbs939 but yg is what pushed him into that toxic environment. i honestly don't blame him for making those choices. he was only a teenager for crying out loud. imagine joining 3 survival shows at just the age of 17, and imagine being shipped out to another country for a whole year. yg created that toxic environment in the first place, all the pressure he received from the company messed him up. whether or not he goes to prison, i don't care. i'll always support him (sorry for the rant ✌).

@@noneness bi got into drug scandal in June 2019( he already tested negetive several times) .. it was old issue during his predebut time when coz of so much work stress he took a negetive disicion and bought LSD from HanSoHee (bet you know this witch).. but he got sacred and never took it ( that's why his report is negetive)
But you know in Korea Drug is count worst than Rape😪.. it's been already 3years.. his final verdict is in this month ..procecution still asking 3years jail🙄🙄..

I think this is more of a message from Hanbin to Hayi since he wrote the entire lyrics and wanted Hayi to sing this of all the songs. The way this song is promoting while Hanbin is facing another trial just show how deeper their relationship is - either being friend or more than that, let themselves know. They both went through so much together in past, at some point they need to walk their own paths (like BI left YG before her and she need to promote by herself). And now, BI is back and promised to be there and not left her anymore.I am very sure during his hiatus, Lee Hi is one of the people who been with him. The fact that Hanbin can lean on Hayi so openly. I’m sure his brothers in iKon are also there for him but since they’re under YG, they can’t exactly openly support him during this tough time. I’m glad AOMG gives Lee Hi the freedom to express herself and to collab with whoever she wants. This friendship is so lovely to watch.
Aside from the very comforting and genuine lyrics and sound of this song, I really love how the MV could also reflect their friendship. 🥺
They met at a young age. They had such good times. However, there came a time Lee Hi was facing a dark moment in her life. Flaws (nose bleed) and tears kept rushing in but thankfully BI was there offering her company and comfort. Those dark days didn't fade but at least she had company while going through them. However, BI had to leave (because of issues) even if he didn't want to as seen at the part where he was also crying after leaving Lee Hi in the rain. Lee Hi keeps coming back to the same place (to music) where she met him believing he'll be back soon. Even though she's alone, she still believed in him. Then one day, BI came back, with a handkerchief and the same candy he gave before (just like how he came back with the same music that gives comfort to many of us). And this time, it's Lee Hi who was comforting BI as seen in the part where she was hugging her. She was facing the world while keeping BI wrapped around her arms like saying I'd face them for you. At the same time, Lee Hi still had her flaws and some dark days (nose bleeds and rain) but this time, BI never left her side. He kept giving the same company and comfort he did back then. And that scene where BI smudged a red thing on his upper lip just reassured her that he accept her flaws and that, now, he'll stay. They'll share each other's burden and go through with it together. That ending scene where they're both under the same umbrella and both of them holding the umbrella just shows that they'll always be there for each other. Under any circumstances, they'll stand up for each other. 🥺

In films Nosebleed stood as a symbol for human failure, as a sign of the loser, the suffering. I agree on other comments that this was about young love. B.I. as a child wasn’t ready to be a part of LeeHi’s suffering so he ended up giving red rose CANDY. meaning the Love that he gave in the past was child-like and symbolizes innocence. And he never gave that umbrella because he wasn’t ready to share the same pain as hers.

Lastly I want to point out in the 0:50 part where B.I. handed the candy with a handkerchief in his adult self symbolizing “The will to live in a Relationship” in spiritual meanings. ok weird theory. so at the start when leehi starts singing, you see the change in scene from her just standing and then prayer position, as if she is asking for something to happen. we can assume that this refers to something in relation to their friendship since bi then appeared to hand her a lollipop that could be a symbolism of the friendship they first forged years ago.
maybe she (or they even) were asking for a chance for them to explicitly show off their friendship in the music industry, like how they promoted no one in the past.
**a lot of the things i refer to her can be applicable to the both of them, they probably had their reasons to make it a lot more explicit on leehi**
at 1:13 she mentions of a sad dream, it should most likely refer to the time when he was dropped from yg after the seungri scandal was out making the company be on high alert. by now, it has been sung by her several times that he could be a saviour that has come to ruin her. maybe this is referring to their strong friendship that was ruined when their dreams of working together, at least during the promotion of no one, was cut short very abruptly. this should have high relevance to her nosebleed (maybe this entire ordeal was tormenting her/them so much so that nosebleeds can occur, a more visual representation of a headache or other effects maybe?)
also nice to point out that some times the lyrics seem to be directed towards a lover, but assuming they are not dating (anyway, whatever, if they want to date that's none of our business), and under the context of a friendship, it's almost like a ying and yang friendship whereby they compliment each other's strengths, like the masterpiece we are currently looking at/listening to today.
at 2:05 there's the scene of her with a cup of thick red liquid followed by her showing the lollipop again which looks like it could have been dipped. maybe this could symbolise strengthening of their friendship (kind of like how an onion has layers, they developed a new layer).
now this is what i find weird. leehi starts "crying", but her tears come in the form of rain. later on, when hanbin cries, its those cinematic single tear. could that mean supressed emotions?????????? rain symbolising their world falling apart, like the sky is falling down????? i dont know
ok back to timeline, i find it weird that there is this brief moment around 2:20 whereby you see leehi have a pair of sunglasses on. with the tears coming on, i'm assuming it could be referring to the no one era, perhaps she felt lost, like, touch your heart, who here did a really fund and good project with a potential best friend within class to have their parents make them transfer school 2 days into the project??? just an analogy
now they start exchanging looks and the nosebleed comes on again. maybe they are now at yet another difficult time. now hanbin starts his verse.

I do think the colors of the umbrellas have a symbolism too!! The way young B.I was holding a black umbrella and in current times BIHI are holding red umbrellas.
Considering the repeated mentions of a bad dream, could this mean that young BI held a black umbrella, symbolising young BI had an impending trouble or an ongoing trouble for young BI - which is why he had to leave Hayi in the rain alone.
When the black umbrella appeared, BI was leaving, the presence of the red umbrella seems to symbolises a more positive forecast. In the beginning of the video, the red umbrella belongs to Hayi probably showing that she’s the one with a more positive shelter and protection. But then the red umbrella ended up with BI (which i assume that Hayi gave it to him, maybe symbolising how Hayi wishes to offer a more positive shelter for BI) But BI only used it once for himself - which is when he is personally watching over Hayi.
When they both kept the umbrella, rain begun falling on Hayi. This feels as though it’s symbolising how whenever BI and Hayi are together with their guards down, or whenever BI is sheltered, Hayi is the one getting affected and rained on - which BI looks upon with teary eyes.
Later in the video, BI hands over this red umbrella back to Hayi, returning her the shelter she had gave him, and effectively sheltering her from whatever that has been raining on her.
It feels like BI is wishing Hayi a more protected, better days ahead for her. (The same way Hayi hopes for BI to have better days and gets protection as well, which is why she gave him her red umbrella). The end of the video showing them sharing the red umbrella, I feel it might mean that although they each have their own issues that they cant solve themselves (nosebleeds, unexplainable rain) nor solve for each other but, they stand by each other, accompany, shelter and watch over each other.
I feel that the umbrella does not signify protection, but a shelter. Somewhere that they can rest and continue their path, they are still affected but they are slightly protected and can continue their journey. BIHI sharing an umbrella seems to symbolise them being each other’s shelters, where they can find rest and take a breather while continue their journey together

This song was inspired by the movie "The Handmaiden". The original line from the movie was "My savior who came to ruin my life. My Tamako. My Sook-hee." B.I getting all these inspiration for his songs from movie lines, to poetry and even while waiting to board on a plane just shows how much musicality there is to him and that's just touching the surface. I feel like this song was intentionally written for Lee Hi because it complimented and highlighted her vocal colors. Looking forward to many more collabs between these two.

This literally embodies the quote that opposite sex can be best friends its not necessarily them being in romantic relationships. The pure friendship literally radiates in the lyrics, its them telling *their story* a story of finding each other and being that emotional support which is not necessarily be given by a significant other only. There's actually a lot to unpack in this mv. It sums up most relationship. Giving everything but not what your partner really needs.
The more I watch this the more I assuming its about them (tbh, it just me that overthinking and over analysing)
Like the first sentence, they met unexpectedly when she's assigned to work with him during his mix & match days and the friendship grow since then.
On the younger version of them here, the candy represent the songs he gave her for her comeback after such a long hiatus. The nosebleed might be the insecurity she got while waiting for her turn to make a comeback. That handkerchief seems like his support and help to her. Then the rain symbolise the trouble that came so suddenly during her No One promotion and he left though he promised to finish the promotion with her. I think that umbrella is somekind of shield. He left her with the candy but not the umbrella because he need it to protect himself from hurting(that boy cry so badly). She could only watch him go because she understand why he's leaving. Due to that, she have to perform alone(the girl drench in the rain) and his part in No One was cut.
Even so, she still silently supporting him (her praying) and finally when he's strong enough, he come back and reach out to her once again giving her the candy and handkerchief (her featuring in Daydream). She's smiling at him to finally be back and he smiled back because he know he got her support/trust. He let her lay her head on his lap and she hug him when he put his head on her shoulder seems to mean they're able to find peace around each other, like a place to rest for a while.
Now when the rain comes, he'll be there for her (he wipe the water off her) and he give the umbrella (shield) to her so she won't get drench (hurt because of him, maybe this due to his trial hasn't ended and he himself are not sure of what his future will be and there's might some people who don't want to see her working with him again). That scene when he smear his nose mimicking her might his way of telling her to cheer up because she's not alone as everyone have their own insecurity too and that makes her laugh.
At the end of it, instead of her standing alone with the umbrella its them standing side by side under the umbrella might means, whatever happen they'll always stand by each other.
