Man!!!! I was not expecting to hear you call me out. You don't know how much that surprised me. I was there yesterday (Sunday) on the smaller pond and did fairly well. Caught some bluegills and a small bass. I had a good time with my rooster tail that you inspired me to use. I have a story to tell you but it would be a lot to type out. Anyway, I appreciate the shout out. Keep up the good fishing and I'll keep an eye out for you.
😂 I appreciate you supporting the channel man. A shout out is the least I can do. Glad you were able to catch a few. I'm sure we'll run into each other one of these days.
Hi my friend told me that stripers used to live in the lake but people overfished them and they are all gone and also he said he thinks he remembers trout being there but he doesn’t remember. The alcovy river isn’t far away and white bass live there so I think it’s a hybrid from one of the almost extinct (in the lake) stripers and a white bass. Or it could just be a hybrid. That part of the lake is less overfished so if there were any then they would move on that side. Also I see bait balls of shad and sometimes they jump so it might be evidence of stripers beside your catch.
Well thank you for providing additional Info and a bit more clarity as to how that hybrid ended up in lake. I'm sure other readers of the comments will find this interesting. 👍🏽
The deepest part of Ozora lake that I have come across is about 22 feet deep. There may be spots that are deeper. As you go under the bridge, it is significantly shallower. Underneath the bridge it's approximately 10ft and then gets as shallow as 2 feet on the flats. As for the length of your fluro carbon leader, as a general rule I use a length that is 1 and a half to twice the length of my rod. This has worked well for me. I hope this helps.
@@MarvelousMarvFishingForLife thank you so much! Love your videos btw the reason I asked was because I bought an inflatable boat and needed an anchor for it, also because I had a 6 foot and a half fluro carbon leader with my braid and I was trying to fish the bottom of the water around where u were fishing but even with half an ounce weight my braid would float so I was not able to fish at the bottom, I still got a nice bass tho! But I will follow your tip and make my leader longer.
I usually carry 5 rods with me on the kayak. 1 rod with a crankbait, 1 with a spinner or chatterbait, 1 with a Texas rigged worm, 1 one with a swimbait and 1 with a wacky rigged worm. The rod setups may vary on the body of water that I am fishing or the time of year that I am fishing.
Subscribing is "Free" and helps the channel grow! Thank You! 😁
Hybrid Striped Bass. Wow
Yeah...surprised me too! There is another fellow fisherman that caught two out of there this year. I'm not sure how they got in there. 🤔

Good to see ya pullin em in again brother! That last one was a mini hawg wasn’t it? 😂😂👍🏻👍🏻😂😂
🤣 Mini hawg is probably the best way to describe it. 👍🏽
Do you happen to know how deep Ozora lake is? And what length fluro carbon leader I would need if I have it attached to floating braid?
Thanks

Whats your fishing rod set up? I go here all the time

How did a hybrid get in ozora lake!?
I was thinking the same thing. I almost wanted to call it a striper.
Sleepy D...I'm scratching my head on this one.
Hybrid striper-white bass.
👍🏽
What lake was this? Man you were killing them.
All catches were at Tribble Mill brother. Thanks for tuning in!
@@MarvelousMarvFishingForLife I thought that looked like Trimble Mill Park.
I saw a couple guys on canoes last week. I was fishing from the bank and caught nothing. I have to get my skills up…😑
Keep at it! You'll catch em eventually! 👍🏽
