Holiest fuck that intro discussion was wild. "And that's why my forearm is the size of my thigh. And Today we're speaking with Aswath Damodaran". Had me in tears.
I did the same thing in grad school. He's right: Tall, decent looking, high (enough) IQ were keys. Demand increased because the doc who ran the clinic said that my swimmers had their highest "success" rate. It was good $$ and sort of a case of "waste not, want not". I stopped when a lawyer advised me of the potential future liability. Hopefully I have some Rhodes Scholars out there and no serial killers.
Scott can rub it out with the best of them, and then knows how to tuck it and get down to business in a serious board room meeting, teach us your ways Prof G-Spot
Yeah, it all makes sense. Ed traveled to America to find his donor father, and when he found him he was amazed, so he pushed and clawed his way to the top of Prof G Media , to then activist from the inside to gain complete control. Classic Ed (Scott).
Great discussion and learnt a lot from their collective wisdom. In particular, I am amused by their futile effort (& frustration) to pin down what OpenAI is. Think Netscape. Hardly any traits left of this company. It awakened the world to what this “Internet” thing can do. And it changed the world. Similarly, OpenAI is a catalyst, sparking global awareness and innovations in AI. It may or may not enrich the investors at the end. But it has changed the world. Every business has to adapt to this new world.
Probably should release episodes about markets immediately so it actually makes sense. Powell decreasing the feds fund rate by 1.5% was an insane take talked about for like 1 min a couple weeks ago.
Findings based on millions of deaths suggest that shorter, smaller bodies have lower death rates and fewer diet-related chronic diseases, especially past middle age. Shorter people also appear to have longer average lifespans.
I am not among the legion of Elon fans but I believe Tesla is will emerge as the leader in AI. They have the clearest and most urgent application for AI, that is FSD. They want to create the moat, so they are hugely incentivized
Like the Prof in his college years ... I was having a long hard day... but no longer! I died - he argued himself a 33% raise going from $30 to $40 a shot 😂
To miss the ball on Palantir (foundry AIP services) and Teslas FSD as PRIME examples of putting AI to profitable use is shocking. Really. Who cares about OpenAI
Intel earned to be kneecapped, 1st the huge Capex, 2nd, the fact that 2 generations of chips (13 & 14) are completely faulty if they are 65 watts or higher, and Intel has yet to say publicly, mia culpa. If they do a mia culpa, the cost to recall all those products will bankrupt them. My new price target is $1.25
Thanks, thought I saw this guest even further back (months?). Vacations are a good thing, but think with low views it's another "captured Utube"🥸 repost🤑🤮
I've been working with ML/AI for over a decade, and I think they're spot on... The technology has gotten better over time, but the market is in over its head right now.

I always look forward to hearing Dr Damodoran’s analysis of the economy & market! Thanks, Ed, for keeping the OG on topic!
Video podcasting > audio podcasting. particularly for content sub 1 hour. thank you team prof g for making video a priority.
Agree! High quality content in short time.
He is one of my FAVORITE guests that y'all have...🤓

Wish more ‘older’ guys were as comfortable with their sexuality as him. People would be so much more human
ASWATH Legend!
Thanks for getting Aswath on the show. Always good to hear his views 👍👍
Scott, the HELLBOY of financial podcasts!!!
For those who wonder that Ed could be the love child of Scott’s sperm donor, please say yeah.
Yeah, it all makes sense. Ed traveled to America to find his donor father, and when he found him he was amazed, so he pushed and clawed his way to the top of Prof G Media , to then activist from the inside to gain complete control. Classic Ed (Scott).
I mean he has the hairline
I love that the podcast has this lore
Your video turned out to be gold treasure. Thank you!🎆

At least I'd recommend to add a date of recording in the description. Starbuck has had a new CEO for over a week.
I hope Prof A can do a deep dive on Intel's valuation.
Great to see Aswatch giving some charity
IBD has the best and quickest graphic I've found for stats mentioned.
Best guest. Please invite back soon!
Superb Scott & Ed
Excellent... Thanks! Paul
Former NYT board member, activist hedge fund manager, Founder-CEO, Professor, Writer, sperm donor...damn, Scott has the ultimate résumé.
3 lucky women....and many more!
Activist hedge fund manager? Pretty sure he's never done that
@@ishan1920He founded an activist hedge fund called Firebrand Partners. He mentions this numerous times on the podcast.
@@ishan1920 Maybe try googling "Scott Galloway activist hedge fund."
@@ishan1920 Yeah, he did.

Prof G markets is a really enjoyable podcast. I like that Galloway is hated by the grifter Tech clowns like JCal.

Love you your stargates

Good episode
„Tesla is a teenage company“….sounds great to me, to be honest 😊
You missed Microsofts Co pilot products. Use some of them all day and they provide a lot of value I pay for
This gets better and better.....😂
Isn’t Palantir making money in the ai space?
Looking for real life use cases and revenue with AI and not mentioning palantir seems strange
Like the Prof in his college years ... I was having a long hard day... but no longer! I died - he argued himself a 33% raise going from $30 to $40 a shot 😂
Asking for a 'raise' ...
He worked hard for his money
Recorded on 6th August, 2024? Posted on 24th? Common guys, for a podcast about markets, this episode might as well be irrelevant.
Please teach me how to trade and I want to deposit money into my account. Make a video for me.
If your unknown kids find out you're rich you'll be in a world of pain
I bet Intel will bounce back from here. GL.

Mark Ritson is your disruption of Higher Education with his Marketing course. It’s the model that proves the case.
i don't suppose Ed has a Stern MBA
That SBUX analysis from aswath is depressing…
pro g “markets” releasing a two weeks old stale recording 🤮
Summer vacation.

Normal to take 20 minutes...to get.out!
Ha.
I see now how Prof G got rich, a lot of trips to the sperm donation bank. Every day you learn something new 😂
LMAO 4 minutes of jokes...must be a record 😅
Well, at least they didn't open with a terrible joke 🙄.....
Prof Galloway revealed. So pfunny, today. "hochas pokass"

Yes, do the opposite. Think her early social media made her overrated too.
At least Navdia deserves their reputation.
USA is starving for an updated Jim Cramer at CNBC.
Any Pod or Stream recommendations? No Crypto though.
"All in" is just poker game FUN.
Never heard of "Cathy Woods".
It is scary how wrong they are on AI and Tesla
