There is only 3 recorded minutes of footage where Bruce Lee is actually competing in a real event. So whenever someone says they have a video of Lee competing…it’s a hodgepodge of movie scenes, exhibitions, training videos or interview click bait that is on repeat…. just ignore it.

It's not a style or set form, it's like water, formless shapeless but it can be all form's, it can blend into ANYTHING .There are no forms or katas, no colored belts, you have to find what will work for you.

GOAT of what? Martial arts movies and choreography? Cuz he was not a fighter or competitor. Chuck Norris competed. Lee didn't. He sparred and staged silly one inch patty-cake vids with someone he paid to take a fall. No one can one inch someone across a floor bro, hence the chair and the pushing. A punch has to be wound up, swung, and have to actually move arm, shoulder to generate power to make it land with force. He was swatting flies it seemed to me.

  • @stevemarklin3192

This is very cool I have always loved watching him in movies but I have always respected for him

The opponent was standing upright - just a tickle could have knocked him over. This is acting.

@jamesanagnos6123Exactky. He pushed a guy who didn't resist, and we are supposed to be amazed. Bruce never fought any real fighters. He was an actor, that's all.

Bruce Lee was a great actor. His mythical status is based more his martial art performance in film, in demonstration, and on non corroborated hearsay than in reality. We have no evidence of his participation in competitive martial arts. We know of Chuck Norris’s and Bob Wall’s competitive accomplishments. We know of no such regarding Bruce Lee. His accomplishments are more the stuff of myth than reality. He was a great actor for sure, and we have to give him his props for his accomplishments in film. We bought the hype about him on account of his acting.

he was actually a very bad actor, he had too many complexes to act natural all these pissy ass face expressions trying to look like a tough guy , he was aufful

      @riccouchman5604 Year ago +2

@jamesanagnos6123 I believe that there might be merit in your view, brother, but his role in his films hooked attention worldwide (as a teenager in the 70s, I was myself hooked) enough so that his on-screen martial art “excellence” is believed by many as reality.

@riccouchman5604 i agree with you my self as well looked up to him and got inspired by his movies but i always knew they were movies nothing more at some point we all grow up and know better but some like the guy below saying hes 67 and still idolizes him shows hes still a child

@PassportBachelor Simply put, brother, you don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Mr. Norris knew exactly what he was doing. Bruce Lee had the international and star acclaim. And in my opinion, he (Norris) would have wiped the floor with Bruce Lee any day. Mr. Norris’s real world accomplishments in competitive kumite can be corroborated. The evidence is there. The supposed real world stuff about Bruce Lee was mere hyperbolic and exaggerated hearsay. Oh and the deluded is the one who appeals to mere fantasy rather than hard evidence.

@PassportBachelor wow really Norris never said any such thing thats your imagination running away like all the rest of the bruce the flee fans out there, you are all delusional and need help lol now stf up and go find something to do clown, Norris would have eaten him up and spit him out , but hes not an egotisical little man like birch boy bruce so he does not cause waves he just says nice things to go along with the flow of the millions of fans the little clown had

The video that shows Bruce Lee destroying two Ping Pong players using nunchucks. It’s easy to think the video is real but, the video was produced in 2008 nearly 35 years after Lee died and it was created to promote a Nokia product.

@PassportBachelor it has everything to do with the subject, the man was trying to prove a point that mostly lies are told about bruce lee his fans think he had super human ability when in reality he was a little clown , if what he said went over your head that sounds like a personal problem to me

@PassportBachelor I’m sorry my comment upset you so much that you felt you had to comment, but, the subject matter is Bruce Lee and his so called abilities. The clip I commented on is in the video footage, so I think it’s relevant

    Olympic Boxing or Judo??
    Without ever ACTUALLY competing
it’s impossible to honestly believe that Bruce Lee was anything more than an actor.

Competitions mainly were point karate which bruce didnt care about. Chuck norris was world champ and according to chuck has never been in a real fight. So chuck is just an actor
