Well, this is a fantastic video. Hands-down, the best video I’ve ever seen if you’re looking for oil change instructions. I own the same exact generator. The last time I searched RUclips, this video did not exist. I purchased the Generlink collar that fits on your meter head. The company folded soon after I purchased it. The generator plugs into the device and it does the same thing your breaker panel interlink does. I unplug my hot tub, flip the central electric heating breaker to off, flip the dryer to off, but apart from the one plug and those two breakers, I can run everything else. I can even use an electric burner on my stove. We lose power every year. Sometimes it’s only for a few hours. We had a heavy snow storm come through last year and we were down for four days. But I was giddy as a little girl because I had my Generac. I have four chest freezers and four upright refrigerator/freezers. No problem for 8000 Watts. Thanks for posting! (I didn’t see the kitty until I saw that little head move back by the boots. Too cute.)
I am in the process of having my generator setup for whole house. It is gonna be a little expensive but well worth it in the end. Back in June we went 96 hours with electricity flowing to the house. Thank goodness I had my generator! 😉😎
Excellent video. I have the same generator. I will say however, we run our air-conditioned with this unit just as long as we run 1 zone at a time. Maintenance is very easy as you demonstrated.
This is a must if you want preservation of sanity. No worries if fridge/freezer spoiling, I also have never missed a shower due to a power outage, this is good
Just picked one up $700. It’s is the Generac gp800e has 0.1 hours. Showing on the digital gauge . Electric start battery is dead but it came with the plug-in charger. Charger Plugged in right next to the start button
i liked this vid and i have a gp3600 that does the job for my small house grid to keep me with electricity while an outage like right now as im typing this at 9p.m lol i was looking for a oil change video and ran into yours with alot more great info .

96 hours is so long, generators are a peace of mind for sure!

Great explanation. Thanks for showing us the inside of your electrical panel, I have been looking to do something very similar to this.

Glad to hear this was helpful. It’s nice to be able to continue working even during power outages.

No oil filter change
No oil filter on this one
Anyone else notice the cat?
I did! Totally camouflaged and unnoticed until it moved its head.
Cat appears at 7:21 and I didn’t even notice it, until when it moved its head after something dropped and startled it at 9:51 😂
