This is an amazing line-up, you absolutely nailed the combinations 😍 It's so hard to pick a favourite, but I especially like the Via Lattea with the Stonecutter's Song. Those look SO good together. And I agree with you that life's too short to not use shimmer inks in extra fine nibs, I do that too!
Love your line up! Ever since I saw everyone’s Cashmere Rose swatches over inkvent, I’ve been wanting to try it! I’m hoping I can find a sample of it soon. It’s sooo pretty! 🌹💗🥹
My vote is for the Esterbrook LIlac with Aurorealis! haha :D it's a beautiful match/pairing, but it is darker than your usual colors, however, the pink shimmer is really what makes that ink magical! Cashmere rose looks more vibrant than it is dusty from what I am seeing, but it is gorgeous. I've always wanted to try it, but one of Sailor's new Shikiori inks is coming out and the color is quite similar to Cashmere rose, albeit a bit more brown, so I cannot wait to try that in my pink and lavender Sailors! Great lineup of colors this month, Karyna!
I love love love your ink choices this month. Every single one are my vibe. Psc is one of my favorite inks and I can't wait for Cashmere Rose to come out in samples. Oh and yes my wish list just got longer... again 😁
Hi Karina! I’ve been a little MIA lately but am trying to get back in the swing of things with my fountain pen hobby & journaling. With that said, I wanted to ask you your thoughts on where to buy some handmade pens? Over the past year I’ve learned that I like a somewhat “bigger” pen (like my Conklin All American in Brownstone) I’m pretty sure it has a #6 size nib and it’s a . I’m looking for something like that but a little more “girlie” lol while I love the beautiful brownstone I want something with a little more pizazz if that makes sense. I have a Sailor Pro Gear Slim Shikiori Fountain Pen - Tou-u (Winter Rain) - 21k Medium Fine Nib and just find that I’m not “loving” how it writes given it’s smaller barrel size and not sure if I’ve found a good ink combo for this particular pen. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and welcomed! Love all your swatches for March too! As soon as I get some time, I’m going to send you some ink samples for you to try in your pens and hopefully you don’t already have them lol Anywho, thanks for your insightful videos and hope you have a wonderful Saturday! Hi Blakeley! Glad to hear you're getting back into things! I've purchased my handmade pens from a few makers: Zodiac Pen Company, Just Turnings, Hogtown Pens, Silverburl Pens, Hinze Pen Co, River City Pen Co. All of them can be found on Instagram. As for your Sailor - is it the nib not writing well or is the pen not comfortable? Both can affect your overall experience. If the nib is not writing the way you want, I would try either seeing a nibmeister (if you're near a place that has a pen show) or sending it off to one to have tuned and smoothed. Or try a Pilot Iroshizuku ink in it - sometimes a dryer ink can make the nib feel scratchy. If it's the pen, the Sailor Pro Gear Slim is smaller so you may be better off with larger pens. Hope this helps!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Yes, this helps so much! I’ll take a look at all of those you mentioned for specialized pens. As far as the Sailor, I think it’s how it writes and my need a wetter ink. I’ve only inked it with FWP Purple Jade Rabbit so I’m not sure if that was the best ink but I didn’t want to mess it up so I just flushed it out and haven’t used it since lol. I have a lot of Wearingeul Inks & FWP Inks. I have 3 sailor inks, 3 Birmingham inks, 4 Dominant Industry inks and one other called Kelp Tea just not sure who it’s by. I’ll look into a nibmeister but not sure if there’s one in NC close to me but I’ll definitely send it off to have it looked at bc the pen wasn’t cheap and I would love to use it. But I do love larger pens, more than I thought I would! I wish there was a pen show close to me so that I could go try all the pens lol But thanks so much for taking the time to get back to me! I’ll keep ya posted xo
Another quick question, do you have a video of how you ink your pens? I’m just wondering if I’m somehow inking them incorrectly as I can never get my shimmer inks to perform in my pens. I do use a syringe to fill my cartridges but I just want to watch how you do it and try it bc I have several Estie’s and mine are and I see your does so well with shimmers. I would love to be able to use my shimmer inks & make sure it’s not a personal error (which I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what it is) lol
One tip I would suggest is making sure that you've agitated the ink sample vial (or bottle) enough to make sure the shimmers are distributed throughout before you fill your pen. Do you feel like your pen is clogging with the shimmers? If so, do you have any brass shims (thin brass sheets that can be purchased at Pen Chalet or Goulet Pens) that you can run through the tines of the nib? I would also check out Goulet Pens for info on how to fill pens - they've got great educational videos!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan Yes, I do that prior to filling but it still feels like the shimmer is clogging the pen and the ink just won’t come out. I didn’t know if it was because of filling error or maybe I was leaving air in the converter. I don’t have any brass shims but I will absolutely order some and try! I’ve seen that done before but I’m just so new to this still I didn’t want to ruin my nibs lol. I absolutely will, thank you again so much for all your help! Xo
Beautiful pens & inks! That Lilac Estie is stunning. 😍 Also loving the green ink selections!
Thanks so much! 😊
I want to put Dusted Truffle in my Via Lattea with broad nib! The pen really is stunning ❤
You should! It's so good!
what beautiful colours in inks & pens! 🤩
Thanks so much 😊

I need an estie lilac. 💜 a beautiful combo. I love purples. Great vid. Loving the Leonardo AquaPetra.

It is so gorgeous! I believe Diamine comes out with the full bottles in the next few months!
Great Ink collection. I have and enjoy Stonecutters Song and Cashmere Rose. The other colors are alluring. Thanks for the video.
You are so welcome! Yes, those two are really interesting and I'm enjoying using them so far!
Beautiful pairings no matter the season 😍
Thank you so much, Anita!

Beautiful colour palette this month Karyna! So glad you are enjoying the Van Diemans x Pulp Addiction ‘Allspice’. Have a wonderful weekend 😊
It's such a unique colour. I'm loving it in the Lamy 2000 so far. I need to do a doodle/zentangle with it.
Gorgeous pens & inks for March
Thank you! Hopefully spring is right around the corner!

Great line-up as always!🖋️
Thank you Tina!
Such a lovely line up for this month’s pens and ink combos!! 😍
I think so too! Thank you!
thanks for sharing Karyna
I love wearingeul stonecutters song - what a perfect match for that pen! I may need to snag a sample of that!
It is such a good ink! I think you’d like it!

I feel like this happens every month, Priscilla. 😂 List keeps getting longer!
@@KarynaLovesToPlan Im pretty sure Im on page 47 now. 🤪
I've kind of wondered if Wearingeul's Stone Cutter's Song is their take on Stone Cutter's Aria by Carol Faenzi since they're usually doing book titles
That is a good take on it! Thank you.

I have a question about the Just Turnings pen? How did the sailer fit it?
The Just Turnings pen was made to fit Sailor sections. Check out my unboxing of this pen.
