Valheim is a new RPG survival game set in a huge open world that can be played solo or co-op by 1-10 players and optional PVP mode with action filled combat. The open world is procedurally generated and inspired by Viking culture. Valhiem was developed by Iron Gate AB, a Swedish studio, and published by Coffee Stain Publishing. It features a combat system with unique skills, item crafting and weapons, house building where you can create settlements, castles, and mead halls. In Valheim you must summon and defeat vengeful primordial bosses of myth and legend, and collect trophies to progress and craft new powerful items.

Any reason you didn't just put a portal at the top where they tend to climb on eachother and a little platform to teleport up from the bottom and throw food out and then go home? Would save having to rebuild the stair case each time, very nice build aside from that
Finally finished and it works beautifully; thank you! Made mine 2x the length to fit 3 lox up top and a little building to store cloudberries I snag. Was a derp and had set my base next to the water so I couldn't really dig..... yuuup lol
This video was more valuable to me than so many million view videos I've seen. Hero.
Appreciate it dude! I'm glad you enjoyed it. ;P
Finished mine a few moments ago, so far so good. Thank you.
Great to hear!
Dope, I'm gonna build one of those on top of a rock pillar on the plains to save on all the terraforming.
Nice idea, let me know how it goes! ;D
Lol, I'm just picturing you getting pissed off when building it and just digging the bottom of the pillar out so everything collapses.
I wouldn't recommend since mosquitoes will kill lox
Until they destroy the pillar attacking deathsquitos
@@Slyzxx76 You can keep them away with workbenches in the surrounding area.
Mate that was clear af, keep it up
Thanks, will do!
Quick advice: Don't add a roof.
The long story. I built one, but my loxen wouldn't eat. No eat, no breed. I had done a few things differently to meet my own preferences. One step at a time I changed things to more and more resemble the one in the video... and nothing, until I finally removed the roof. Even with all that height, the lox won't eat with roof over their heads. I might try adding the roof a log (4m) higher at a later point, but for now, no roof, even though it means the structure is vulnerable to rain.
Update: I made a second with stone floor and below. Same height from the earth wall to the floor, same everything above EXCEPT... I added an extra 4m log pole all around, and another half on one side, and a roof. They eat, they breed. So with that extra height, the can eat under a roof, but you need a lot of extra height.
Also, I replaced retaining beams (the ones that are like 3m above the floor) on one side with gates. The bottom of the gates is the same height that the beams would be, so the lox calves can still get out. The gates allow the convenience of having gates, if you want to use your breeder as a stable.
They see from the height of a troll for some reason, so if you put a roof over them, they can't see the food.
thank you guys!
thanks
Pro tip when building this, use cage floor instead of wood floor, and use wood iron instead of log. It's expensive, but these loxes damage things as they move and especially when they drop from other lox, could easily destroy your wood building.
also you can build it tall enough with wood iron, to not need to dig down if you have an enclosed area to let them fall and spread out. I keep lox at various bases for people to ride out on, fully grown, and tomorrow i'm going to be building several of these, one at each base we spend a bunch of time at (So like 3 or 4 main bases for sure), just to ensure I don't have to go out hunting wild lox for meat if I don't want to. It'll save on needle arrows and health potions significantly, that's for sure xD
If you make a pit, just make stairs carve out an area for stone stairs and make a gate system for loxes
@@TheOriginalFaxon with a friend if everyone is attacking one lox at once it gets stunlocked, also you can just kinda like parry them fairly easily and just deal a hunk of dmg that way.
any way you can stop them walking on each other? they destroyed the first breeder i made, similar to yours, just by stepping on each other and then falling back in place! i made second with stone floor, iron poles and i ron gate, i put roof on the sides pointing out so that nothing takes rain dmg, so it lasts longer before repair is necessary. but it is still annoying to check all the time if they did not destroy something!
Great build, works very well. Ty
Still works with the newer updates, works great
made this with wood iron beams. Took some fiddling for the length differences but I got it to work and it worked really well for about a dozen game days then stopped working completely. They won't eat. they have food at their feet, no other lox in the area, made no changes they just stand there. Cannot figure out what the issue is.
I built this one for one, but one of my lox absolutely refuses to eat. Ive tried changing positions of the food placement
I even attempted a give them more space but nothing is working
I was wondering how long it would take for breeders to start popping up on youyube.
T'was only a matter of time. 😎
April 2022: works or nerfed / patched? Thanks for the update!
Still working in mistlands update?
I just learned.. You can tame lox... and 2.. you can ride them!??!! omg thats aweome
A slight modification can be adding a divider of poles between the loxes, it will prevent them from stacking on top of each other by restricting movement, while still allowing them to breed
Do keep in mind that lox sees things from a trolls’s perspective(for some reason) so putting the food directly in the middle under the poles probably wouldn’t work, so you now need 2 stacks of breeding food, under each lox
I managed to put a portal at the top in one of the corners, and two walls across the middle, this way I can just teleport up there and then toss berries against the wall so that it falls between them.
(Edit: Seems like only one lox is fed with the wall in the middle, will upload a new video if I manage to figure it out)
This is not working in the Plains biome.
I mean it works, but only for a shorter ammount of time, how?
Well hear me out, Deathsquito when it comes visiting my Loxes just become wild and smash everything up.
Wood with lox - bad idea. 4x4 place for lox it's not working.
20 meters distance to the breeding pair? JFC... That's a pain in the ass where I've got my tamed Lox. Only a few meters above sea level, right on the coast... Nowhere I can really transport them to either.
You can use iron poles instead of the logs and just build higher up to the correct height. Takes more resources, but it will still work. ;]
@@slipsloptv I was able to raise the ground up almost half the distance needed. It ended up pushing the limits of the core wood's stability into the orange, but I got Box and Sox up in their pen finally lol.
@@MisterHavoc Good to hear! May your island soon be crawling in a ridiculous amount of lox! xD
what is the use of the raised ground ? If lox stack up and cover the pit, looks like the lox could be just above the pit
It's so they don't shut down your breeder. if there are more than 3 lox close to each other, they will not breed. This method ensures that the breeding will continue, even after the babies are fully grown.
@@slipsloptv nice ty 👍
5:29 lol
Does this seriously work? All other compact breeders seem to be broken as the creatures need space to wander. Is it because each lox has the 2x2 space? That seemed to be the minimum I could get to work for my own breeders.
It sure does! Just don't cover the top of the pen with floor/roof pieces and you're golden.
If you're looking for a compact breeder for wolves/boars, the one I made still works. It's a simple design that's able to fit 4 boars or 3 wolves for maximum production. ;P
ruclips.net/video/FvvrGyq7iBg/видео.html
If you try this breeder out, be sure to read the description first as there are some slight updates with the feeding method.
@@slipsloptv Thanks for the reply! I came up with my own breeder style that can house 3 wolves or boar, so I'll stick to that, though your boar one is notably more efficient. So as far as I could tell, animals need some space to path before they will eat, that's what surprised me about your lox design. What you're saying is that they just need ground contact?
I've just finished this on a stone pillar, with 8 wooden floor tiles. But no matter how many times I try, my lox won't eat at all. I threw the cloud berries from many different angles, didn't work. Anyone has an idea why?
Make sure they aren't covered with roof/floor pieces.
@@slipsloptv Thanks! So that's why, I had no idea!
didn't they change so animals cant breed if they aren't touching ground?
That's what I thought at first, but it seems they just need to be level with the food on a flat surface in order to eat/breed.
I think I´ll just build this on top of one of those stone pillars. So I don´t have to dig that much.
Good idea! Honestly the digging wasn't too bad. That whole pit took about 20 minutes.
I tried the method and have two lox in the 4x8 space, but they don't eat ... can't figure out how to make them eat lol....
Throw the food in the center of the pen. Make sure you don't cover the top with floors/roof pieces or they wont eat.
@@slipsloptv THIS! I covered the top of mine and couldn't figure out why they wouldn't eat. Finally scrolled through all these comments to find this info lol. Thanks!
So how do you protect the structure from the elements then if you cant cover it?
Rain alone wont completely destroy structures, so you should be fine.
@@slipsloptv Wasnt aware that rain will only decay wooden structures down to 50%. I thought it would go till destruction.
if you are in the plains you should have known this already

@@slipsloptv awesome thanks! Also thanks for the video I'll be trying this out this weekend!
Gamers: Commercial animal farms are animal cruelty.
Also gamers: Unlimited breeding pen using the same two animals for eternity and it's not free-range.
my brother has spent 2 weeks unsuccessfully trying to construct an automated boar farm
boars keep dying under unknown circumstances
I don't think I have the heart to show him this
if they die something is killing them. might be skeleton archers at night or wraiths if he lives right next to swamp. something like that.
if the problem is not breeding, the trick is pigs and wolves need to touch soil or they refuse to breed. they can't be up in air like the lox in this video.
@@babstra55 No there is a new boar/wolf farm (I'm using it now) that got posted a week or so? ago that they don't have to touch the ground. Should check it out, I think it has boar and wolf in the title if you try searching youtube for it.
Looks just about like this except you know, not MASSIVE lol
@@LivingWildLive I found one with a lot of room to move, so I guess that can work up in air too. but I'm not sure it has any advantage over breeding on ground without a cage, as the only thing keeping the piglets away is their random roaming in the available terrain.
well, at least my old tight cage breeder started working again after I raised ground so their front feet are 'grounded'.
@@babstra55 My Boar/Wolf farm still works in Hearth and Home - ruclips.net/video/FvvrGyq7iBg/видео.html
You can build it in the sky or on terrain. For the pen you can squeeze in 4 Boars or 3 wolves for maximum production.
If you go with this build, make sure you use the updated feeding method in the description of the video, as that has had more success for people.
does the lox aggro when theres an enemy around the pit?
Most I've seen is them get is a yellow "!", but never fully aggro. They should be far away enough to where that will never happen, even if an enemy falls into your pit.
This doesnt work anymore the lox need ground or blue platforms to breed
Mine are working fine. Make sure you didn't put any roof/floor pieces over the top of your breeder.
有人说最小是12米。也有人说最小20米。
e
Thank you so much. this is awesome!! all you need is a ton of core wood and patience.
Not that much core wood, under 100 I think.
Just built one tonight on a streamers' communal server, working great. Chucked in 14 cloudberries, was up to 13 calves by the end of the stream and they still had at least 1 berry left. :)
I'll have to see about a wolf breeder.
Hey Slip. Someone asked me to create an AFK Lox Breeding Tower. I used your design for the functional parts of the build. I credited you as the OG source in the description on Nexus. If you would like me to remove or alter the reference to you in the description, let me know.
Wow, that looks amazing! Nice build!
The credit is fine, thank you. ;]
Built this design as depicted Feb of 22. Works great, however, flooded with lox trampling all my fields since my base is too close to the water table for a deep retention pit.
Why do you need to raise ground? Can‘t I just use iron poles to get high up?
I wondered that. Did you try it without raising the ground?
after finding a couple traps farms for lox i used this technique and it still works.. they eat and breed like they are supposed to. thx
So I had trouble with the lox not eating and I fixed it by making it 6x8 instead of the 4x8 so they had the ability to move and actually eat the food. This was way later but it seems to work so I'm excited for the lox pies I'll be munching on
Did you have a problem with the babies not falling down?
@@jasa159 very rarely. Only once did I see a baby grow on the top area to full but that could be since I don't stay in the plains often. Could have instant grown up there instead of being pushed.
Can't wait for your next vid/ playthrough the crystal battleaxe is fun as hell
Nice, it looks really fun. I'll be working on the series here soon, been sick lately so I'm kind of just waiting for that to pass.
Hello, I built 4x8 breeder, top is not covered with floor or roof. I´m throwing food exactly to the middle as in your video. One is eating other is always hungry. Sometimes when they change possition one starts to eat, but other one is soon hungry. I would really appreciate any advise. Thank you.
I wish they would've allowed a follow option on the lox like the wolves. Its annoying having to move the damn thing around whenever chopping wood in the black forests. Glox the lox defends me from any pesky neighborhood trolls.
Glox the Lox, lol. Too bad you can't attack with the lox while riding it, that would be the ultimate tree/mine harvester.
@@slipsloptv you can. Sprint and it'll knock over any small trees, and doing it twice will knock down full size trees. Do it a third time to crush the fallen logs up.
This vid is a good example of what I need help with. I watch your builds and other channels and yall do these perfect squares with pick axes or raising ground. I would love to see a good how to on that. Especially the raising ground.
The trick is to face exactly North (or one of the other directions) just before you start raising the ground or digging down. You can also use the wooden beams to map out the dig site prior to modifying the terrain.
Raise the same point until you can't raise it anymore. When you reach that point, the corners of your raised point will sharpen into a near perfect square. I usually do this from directly on top of it. From there, raise adjacent ground to meet it, and it will form a nice strait wall. You just need to raise in the ballpark of the sides of your starting square.
Damn... I still haven't defeated the swamp boss, but im already looking at some endgame/midgame farms. I just bought the game, and I think I'm addicted. Lmao
It's addicting for sure, lol. I've got just under 600 hours invested into this game. Dx
@@slipsloptv True. Thank you for the boar farm that you made btw. It made my life easier. Thanks!
Its actually really easy unless they changed it. He has an attack and then does X and thats when you attack and then run back. He does his thing you then you attack again. The hard part is the swamp mobs while you are evading. You just need the poison potion and keep that buff up. Clear the area around the skul before hand. Mine was swampy so I layed down some flooring in the area so I wouldnt have trudge thru water.
Hmmm, spent ages getting this thing built, then when I got the lox up there, they refused to eat anything, not sure what's going on, is there a particular place you need to throw the food for it to work?
Nevermind, I figured it out, apparently lox refuse to eat if they can't see the sky. I wanted to cover it w/something so that the rain didn't wreck the structures, oh well.
@@NbKXStorm thank you, I was just about to destroy the whole farm lol
My lox refuse to eat. Have waited for an hour but no breeding takes place.
The only differences is instead of building a foundation like your video I instead used a singular pole of iron bars 22m tall. And used iron bars for floor.
Out of frustration I even tried adding a roof thinking the lox standing on each other was the problem yet they still don’t breed regardless.
Also I did not dig a hole. Instead I leveled out a large area with the hoe and pickaxe and build a large stone wall around 6-8m tall. For the breed lox.
Iv tried tossing food just like the video and even tried randomly tossing several stacks of 10 of each food type they like randomly inside the breeder cage. They refuse to eat and stay hungry.
I’m at a loss as the what could be causing it. I still used the same core wood pole in the video for the cage part. So not sure what the issue is…
Any advice is appreciated. U got a like and sub from me.
Try replacing the floors with wooden floors and get rid of the roof. Animals won't eat/breed unless they're on the ground or a floor piece and lox won't eat/breed if they're also covered by a roof. I've also only ever tested this build using wood floors.
To fix the lox from stomping around and damaging your floor or from standing on top of each other, you can try logging out or leaving the area for a bit once you've placed them inside. Let me know if this helps at all, hope you can get it working.
@@slipsloptv I've had the same problem, but after reading this, it actually fixed the breeder, didn't know they won't eat if the breeder has a roof.
I've been using your design for a year now, and this was the first time I've built it with a roof, cuz I hate the fact that I have to repair it all the time due to rain decay.
Lots of Love man, thanks for the help!!
i would definitely build a portal on the top platform to throw food at them from instead of those stair contraptions...
For sure. I'm just giving you guys the foundation. If you find a way to improve off of it, then that's great. ;]
This is brilliant...until you build in the plains...My bad lol. Deathsquitos cause them to destroy the wooden floor and poles every time. Can't tell you how many times I've rebuild it.
I was meaning to take a couple back to my main base as mounts anyway...
I have the same problem. Is there any workaround? Or do i have to change biome?
@@jeisar64 Gotta change biome. Otherwise, you'd essentially have to camp there and kill every deathsquito and be ready to repair/rebuild over and over, making the "AFK" part completely useless. Learned the hard way being stubborn. I even tried building workbenchs all over the entire small plains biome I was building in to try and prevent them spawning. The whole area! They still spawned...
@@amphibeingmcshpongletron5026 bah that's bad, I've spent 10 hours digging a moat and setting up farms.... Thanks, mate. Maybe if I put 2-3 loxes in a hole around my farms. Then the deathsquitos would attack those first right?
@@jeisar64 Since the squitos spawn up in the air, I found they went for my breeding pair almost immediately. It only takes one to two AOE stomps from the lox to destroy the floor of the breeding tower. Getting those placements can be really annoying to do over and over without being able to fly around in creative mode. And getting the lox back into place over and over or having to drag them up the tower again became such a time sink I just abandoned the project. I let them breed on the ground or in a pit now where they can kill deathsquitos without destroying a structure. Eventually, when I start playing again, I'll just find a meadows biome to breed them in.
so i built this but my lox's are not eating anyone else have same issue?
what did u give them to eat?

Help!!! This worked for the first day but after loading back in I can't get my lox the eat, On Xbox XS if that matters.
Built this after seeing your video and it’s worked really well. Dunno. I've been pretty sick last couple of days, but I'll try and work on it soon.
This did not work for me as the tamed lox can collide with each other so they all get stuck in the breeder area
Hey Slip, this is awesome and I love your videos. I made this and it worked incredibly well for awhile and then my lox just stopped breeding... I didn't change anything about the breeder and I even tried repositioning them as sometimes NPCs can be glitchy; no luck. Have you run into this or have any troubleshooting tips when it comes to breeders?
Are they still eating? If they're eating and not breeding then it means they're too close to other lox. Lox cap at 4 I believe, so if there are 2 or more lox within 20m of your breeding lox then they wont breed. You could kill off the lox you have in the pit or raise the breeding pen even higher. In this video I think the distance between the pen and the bottom of the pit is 22m and I haven't had it shut down yet, even with them climbing all over each other in the pit lol. Hope this helps.
@@slipsloptv Thanks for the response man. Well I was pretty diligent with the spacing. And no the issue is that they wont eat, but when I let them out of the tower they eat and breed fine...
@@coltonwilliges1140 The only thing I can think of that causes them not to eat would be if you put a roof over the pen. If that's not it then try throwing the food towards the center more. I also only tested this breeder using cloud berries, so maybe it could be a food issue if you're using something else to feed them.

Idk if you could do this but if you could put how many materials we will need and what type that would be great
@SlipSlopTV Awesome as always. I was so impressed with the previous boar breeder you made. I was wondering if that design would work with wolves too
Yes it will! For wolves you can only put 3 in the breeder, since 4 is their cap. And you have to use the second feeding method in the description in order for them to eat.
@@slipsloptv Thanks! This Lox breeder will definitely be a goal. Soon...

can skeeters get up there? and will drake raid destroy everything?
Just made this today and it still spits out lox calves on rapid fire
thank you for this video!
i tried breeding them but when it didn‘t work i thought it hadn‘t been implemented. i tamed 3 Loxes at the same time while i was still trying to finish the enclosure around them. now i know that they‘re just shy and they don‘t like to breed when there‘s a third one near. the enclosure was certainly big enough for 2 to sneak off to one corner but i guess i have to help them along a little.
My pleasure! With this build you shouldn't have to worry about them not breeding until you have too many grown lox in the pit climbing all over each other. Just gotta keep your breeders at least 20 meters away from any other lox.
@@slipsloptv i‘m currently building my own version. in the plains, hanging from the side of one of those big ol‘ rocks. haven’t measured it yet but could be that it‘s actually too high up and i‘ll have problems with bringing the Loxes up there...

@@slipsloptv ninja foodie 5 in 1
i love it i just got around to building mine on day 500 of my world lol
So for lox they don't need to touch the ground to eat?
Hey dude, I’ve watched a few of your guides. I love the delivery, absolutely crystal clear. Great job. This works really well, however from time to time whilst the Lox are shuffling round, they damage some of the beams and they have escaped through damaging the structure. If I replicated this using stone, would that work?. (I have also built in the plains so the deathsquitos do cause chaos at times!)
It should work with stone, but you'll probably have to use a lot of iron beams to support it. Those pesky deathquitos are probably why they're destroying their pen. You could move the pen into the meadows or set up a very large perimeter of workbenches around your breeder to stop any enemy from spawning near it, lol.
@@slipsloptv yeah that’s what I thought. I’ve now bred Lox all around the island so they can deal with the deathsquitos on the perimeter 🤣. So ordinarily, they shouldn’t damage the pen even when climbing over each other?
@@nimanjneb4039 They shouldn't. So far, I haven't had to repair the pens since initially putting my lox inside. They also haven't been climbing on each other recently, so maybe they just needed time to adjust to their new lifestyle. xD
@@slipsloptv I'm not sure why they are doing it. I have had to rebuild the pen around 5 times. I just watched them climb over each other, even though they were fed and destroy the pen. If I put a log poll divide between them, would they still mate?
@@nimanjneb4039 If your breeder is still in the plains then they might be getting spooked still. I'm not sure about dividing them, I haven't tested it but it could work. Sorry you're having problems with them destroying the breeder. I haven't run into these issues, so I'm not quite sure how to offer a fix for it. ;[
My food is landing on the platform and they are eating, but if I go away and come back the food appears to have fallen through the platform into the pen, any idea what could be happening? I've built it exactly the same as in this video
Not sure, I've never experienced that happening. Does this happen every time you feed them? Do you see the food inside the pen whenever you come back? I know if you leave the pen to where it isn't visible anymore, your animals will still eat but they wont breed. They could just be eating all the food while you're gone. Another thing that could be happening is that the food is despawning. Place a work bench on the raised ground, just under the platform, and that will fix it up.
how do you keep the lox from turning? 3/4 directions they can turn drop the cafs but mine keep turning the one direction that puts them back to back and spawn the cafs on the platform
It should be fine if that happens. The Lox will push the calves off on their own before they're fully grown.
I finished this build a few days ago and it was working just fine. now all of a sudden the lox just wont eat anymore. there are no lox below them because i slaughtered them all ( maybe they are sad) i leave several different sized stacks of cloudberries but nothing seems to be working
Only thing I can think of as to why they aren't eating is if you covered the top of the pen with floor/roof pieces.
That’s a good farm. Did it on my server. A pity you have to stick around the farm, otherwise lox do not breed. If I teleport to my base in meadows and then return after a while to the farm in plains, no progress.
I was able to transport some lox on my longboat back to my meadows home :) its a bit tricky as they can damage the longbow while in transit, had to make an emergency stop along a black forest coast to repair along the way.
Can Loxen breed if they are in an underground basement enclosure? I can't seem to get it to work.
They don't like to be covered. They also need at least 20 meters between the breeding lox and any other lox to bypass their cap limit.
Did I miss anything or do I just have to watch the floor for damage and just repair it as need?
The floors will only be damaged when getting the lox inside and weather wont fully destroy your pen. You can repair it just so you're on the safe side, but I have not had to repair mine since initially getting them inside.
People only use mods and cheats these days. Kinda drags it down a bit, but cool tho
If you listened to him, he explained that you can build this without using debug mode. He did it just for the expediency of doing the video to show the building construction. You just have to build scaffolding. I've build 2 that way without using mods or debug mode.
So I just finished this and have like 10+ lox in the pen so far, but now the 2 lox that i have in the structure up top are like stuck. They have both turned and faced the side the ramp is on and squeezed both to the same side and wont turn around to eat.
Ok so they dont like roofs. They are exhibitionist. Like it in the public lol.
@@normpoulin6455 Thanks for the info, didn't understand why mine weren't eating either. Had them under a roof for more safety
so they don't need to be on the ground like the pigs and wolfs ?
Nope! As long as your tames are on terrain or a floor piece they'll eat and breed. Goes for boars/wolves as well.
hmmm it seems they forgot to thing they have made for boars (they used to be farmed like this but now they dont if they not touching to ground) this can be nerfed keep your eyes open mates
They don't need to touch the ground! I have a boar farm that's like what you are talking about, just look for a boar farm build that's from after the new update.
(boars not touching ground)
How do you kill them fast tho? I mean the farm is still amazing hands down, but how do you kill so many lox to get their meat? What's the fastest and easiest way?
The butcher knife is your best bet for lox, since they have a large health pool.
@@slipsloptv Ohhhh, you're right! Since they're tamed animals, the butcher knife works on them too! I totally forgot about that, now I feel dumb haha. Thanks for the clarification!
Cant get my lox to eat for some reason and they are hungry
Make sure you didn't cover the top of the pen with floor/roof pieces.
Edit-Oops, BuJamesDean actually beat ya to it - Still, major kudos for the nicely done instructional!
Also, in case others weren't aware, boars/wolves don't need to b touching the ground, the requirement is actually they need to stand on at least 1 full floor tile's width (like, 1x3, if you add gaps on the perimeter the babies will fall out. BuJamesDean has a vid on this too for an example)
orignal post;
Pretty sure you're first on this one, dude - Thanks so much for testing and posting!!
I thought for sure they would implement the same feet-on-ground condition as they have for wolves/boars. Will have to build this soon! Once devs see this Im betting they'll apply it, if theyre set on preventing this type of industrialization.
I guess he did, but from the looks of it, it's not a fully automated build. The breeding lox are too close to the babies, which will shut down the breeder until they've wandered away. If you're looking for a Boar/Wolf breeder, I made one that still works in Hearth and Home. You can build it on terrain or in the air. It's a simple design that can fit up to 4 boars or 3 wolves for maximum production. Make sure to read the description for an updated feeding method. Also, if you don't have a harpoon, I would stick to using 3 boars or 2 wolves, as getting the last one in is quite tricky. ruclips.net/video/FvvrGyq7iBg/видео.html
@@slipsloptv great info, thanks dude!
I'll for sure be applying the core structure of your designs to my current setup; I was just finishing construction of a tall series of alternating breeder modules in the air when they patched it (you might want to add a snippet in the description of your boar/wolf breeder mentioning your design doesn't have to be on the ground/requirement is a full floorpiece, cause that's one of the first things mentioned)
I thought for sure my aerial megabreeder was unsalvageable, but was so happy to learn this wasn't the case!
Anyways, thanks again man, you rock! Looking forward to more content
@@adamp4333 Great idea, I'll add it now! Good luck on your mega breeder, that would be quite the sight to see! Let me know how it turns out. ;P
They won't eat unless they are on the ground apparently
They will eat in the air. Just as long as they are on floor pieces. Make sure not to cover the top of the pen with floors/roof pieces, that could be an issue as to why they wont eat.
@@slipsloptv well that's the reason, the roof, thanks for the info and the video
@@draacco Np man, glad you got it working. ;]
is it really 20 m? I thought the rule was 10
Boars and wolves need 10m, lox need 20m
Are the offspring tame or wild?
They'll be tamed.
Great video!song name ? pls bro
Song is "Macha" by Harris Heller.
does this still work? its been a year🤔
Just tried it and does not seems to work
Didnt they nerf breeding when animals arent on ground or something?
The nerf was animals need more space to eat. Loxes now require 4x4 space so they would eat, for wolves and pigs, they need 2x2 space.
boars and wolves I breed in a 1x1 box with them eating through a wall
Do tamed loxes despawn?
no
@@jimbb1832 thanks for replying, a bit late but still
Is this moded content or do they actually breed now??
With the Hearth and Home update you can breed lox now
With Hearth and Home out you can breed them as well as ride them now. It's pretty great. ;P
Yes! I had Lox grazing near a base. I just walled off the area. So had 3 enclosed. Threw in a ton of food. Came back in a couple of hours and I had two calves
相邻的两个养殖场之间最小间隔是多少。我注意到旁边还有一个FARM
The farms in the video I didn't measure between, but if you wanted adjacent farms of your own, then you'd need at least 20 meters.
Yo! The farm works great, except a small flying little problem. i did all the build and i stayed watching the 2 beautiful lox giving birth to a very fast rate until a DEATHSQUITO came and scared them and they destroyed the whole thing. After that i added roof above it so at least the structure is at 100% HP. Anybody had the same problem as me?
Yeah a deathsquito totally destroyed it for me. :( Luckily I still had my huge ramp up. Building a roof for it right now
If I want 2 automated farm how far apart do they have to be? Is it 20m wide as well?
No one knows what a meter is. Next time can you use actual distance in game. Like how many walls distance. Appreciate it. :)
Meters is literally the measurement used in the game, lol. That's what the "m" means next to walls/beams/poles.
@@slipsloptv Sorry. I am from America. I was joking lol. Thanks for the vid!
Lmao. I figured it was sarcasm, but you can never be too sure over the internet. xD
this build is trash i have had to rebuild it twice due to weather and random lox agro "afk" not really because you have to babysit this build due to it only being wood and random damage if by "afk" you mean sitting at the farm all day long not playing the game and only reparing then sure that is "afk" but if you want to go and play the game and enjoy it this build is crap you will inevitably come back to it destroyed
just build roofs :D
@j0sh918 Even then, you can't leave it because the lox do passive damage and they aggro to any enemies around the area so upkeep is an issue for example you can't leave the lox at base go to mistlands and then do progression over there because when you get back the thing will be broken even with roofs also with the way the game works things do not spawn unless you are close to them so lox will not spawn if you go to another island or far enough away from the enclosure
