I was raised Christian. I am basically no longer religious. One time a Muslim man randomly witnessed to me when I had a bit of a breakdown. He said Allah loves you and many other things. It was more powerful, honest and real than anything anyone has ever said to me from a Christian perspective. Never forgot that moment.

I’m a recent revert, and I am of Italian descent. I wasn’t a Christian prior, as it always felt disingenuous. People would try to shame me into going to church, yet with Islam, Allah came straight to me with no middle man. I learned a lot about Islam from Hip Hop, yet I’m told that Hip Hop is haram, so one could understand my frustration. Nonetheless, I listen to Quran recitation often and continue to learn and embrace my faith.
learn more about your faith. a number of muslims will say music or hip hop is haram but there is no daleel (categorical proof) of what they say. Hip Hop is like anything else. If they call people to haram then its haram. If they call people towards Islam using the culture they are in and use it for good, then let Allah decide that. The religion is much deeper than these wahhabi/salafi types like to say it is and most of them are themselves incredibly shallow in their understanding and just products of oil money beliefs.

And music( the current day ) is idle talk mostly. The Muslim scholar al-Qaradawi states that singing and music in itself is permissible and pleasurable. He places several restrictions on them though. The content of the song should not be against the morals and teachings of Islam or be accompanied by other forbidden things in Islam like alcohol.

I was 15 when I told her that I was going to become Muslim and she discouraged me and said that I need to focus on “important” things rather than wasting time on religion. Now Alhamdulilah I am 20 and wallahi she tells me that becoming Muslim is the best thing I’ve ever done and that she is so happy for me❤️ I hope that Allah blesses this guy and his mom like this and I hope Allah shows her the beauty of this religion.

Originally, they were separate books and scriptures given to prophets such as Moses (Torah), David (Psalms), Jesus (Gospel) and other prophets (peace be upon them all), and there was not a single mistake in them. Because it was the true word of God. But what happened? Over time, it was so corrupted, compiled in one book and started to be called the Old Testament and the New Testament, translated wrong, overgrown with multiple fictions, stories, legends, that now what we call the Bible today is no longer the word of God. The current Bible is nothing more than a literary work written by multiple authors over many centuries. It has many historical, archaeological, linguistic, textual, logical errors.

I can relate that to me..being a mother is all about worrying about your child..it doesn't matter how old he is, he will always be under mom's protection 😂😊but I just feel its okay to be critical and research more this will make make decisive decisions.

I was raised Christian, my family is very strong in their faith. I've been in a journey for almost 2 years of questioning Christianity and studying Islam. My mom tells me I have turned my back on God because I no longer believe that Jesus is God. ❤️🩹
Believe it or not you'll truly understand what jesus brought once studying Islam. Allah tells us Islam will enter every household. There is no blind faith in Islam it's logical and with proof. We are all going in to the ground one day it's better to research as much as possible than to end up regretting because of being too stubborn that i was born into this religion so it must be true. Even studying the Bible with a different perspective, forgetting preconceived notions, if you just read the words of Jesus and pay attention to what he is saying, it is apparent that he never claims to be God. You're so right about doing the research and not just following your family's religion. There came a point years ago when I realized this, and wondered how could I call myself a Christian if I haven't even read the whole Bible? (Tbh most Christians haven't, that's why they follow blindly). So I read the Bible cover to cover, studied and researched for years. But because of my preconceived Christian ideas, I never realized what Jesus was really saying (The father is greater than me, God is One God, Jesus praying, etc). I think most Christians have never even thought about this, they don't see it. I had read these things a million times, but never saw it until I started studying Islam. As for my family, my parents are very "blind faith, trust without understanding" people. I have started trying to plant seeds with my kids, but it's hard because I raised them Christian, they now look at me like I'm a hypocrite. It will be a slow process.

Hey guys, I love the videos, very informative. I grew up as christian orthodox, not strict christian just believing in what my family believed in, but around the age of 12 I thought God wasn’t real because of biology taught in schools and I became an atheist. Now that I’m 22 I have started to believe in God again because life without God seems so empty. Now my question is where should I start my journey, it seems like such a big task to read and choose which religion I believe in. I would love some guidance in the right direction!
Three books I would suggest to you: 1) The Translation of the Qur'aan (Sahih International or Clear Quran translation) 2) The Biography of Prophet by Muhammad by Karen Armstrong or Martin Lings 3) The Divine Reality by Hamza Tzortsis
I'm honest with you, i think just logically speaking you should seriously look into islam. Not because the other monotheistic religions are false, but Islam has all of them. If your a muslim, you're automatically a follower of moses and jesus and follow their teachings. If you really want the truth,then you need to search with an open mind and open heart. A jew stops with moses(pbuh), and christians stop at jesus(pbuh), claiming that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a false prophet. But if you really want the true message of god, you need to understand his messengers. And only islam, tells you the truth about all the messengers,without corrupting their message.

There is a dangerous (to the mind) fallacy underlying a lot of this. The young man, and the mother, are using false attribution/equivocation fallacies. He starts by saying Christians aren't a certain way, and the mother then gives him examples of how they are. She is usually right in her defense, because he's trying to say Islam is better because Muslims do certain things. Well, Christians do certain things as well. The truth in the teachings, not the practices. Christianity's core religious text has been proven to be corrupt, and Jesus has also, I believe clearly, made statements about how he is not God, and that there is a God that he WORSHIPS. Amongst other things. That should be what moves you from Christianity to Islam, not that Muslims are more likely to follow their religion.

I’m a recent revert, and I am of Italian descent. I wasn’t a Christian prior, as it always felt disingenuous. People would try to shame me into going to church, yet with Islam, Allah came straight to me with no middle man. I learned a lot about Islam from Hip Hop, yet I’m told that Hip Hop is haram, so one could understand my frustration. Nonetheless, I listen to Quran recitation often and continue to learn and embrace my faith.

learn more about your faith. a number of muslims will say music or hip hop is haram but there is no daleel (categorical proof) of what they say. Hip Hop is like anything else. If they call people to haram then its haram. If they call people towards Islam using the culture they are in and use it for good, then let Allah decide that. I was 15 when I told her that I was going to become Muslim and she discouraged me and said that I need to focus on “important” things rather than wasting time on religion. Even studying the Bible with a different perspective, forgetting preconceived notions, if you just read the words of Jesus and pay attention to what he is saying, it is apparent that he never claims to be God. You're so right about doing the research and not just following your family's religion. There came a point years ago when I realized this, and wondered how could I call myself a Christian if I haven't even read the whole Bible? (Tbh most Christians haven't, that's why they follow blindly). So I read the Bible cover to cover, studied and researched for years. But because of my preconceived Christian ideas, I never realized what Jesus was really saying (The father is greater than me, God is One God, Jesus praying, etc). I think most Christians have never even thought about this, they don't see it. I had read these things a million times, but never saw it until I started studying Islam. As for my family, my parents are very "blind faith, trust without understanding" people. I have started trying to plant seeds with my kids, but it's hard because I raised them Christian, they now look at me like I'm a hypocrite. It will be a slow process.

I grew up as christian orthodox, not strict christian just believing in what my family believed in, but around the age of 12 I thought God wasn’t real because of biology taught in schools and I became an atheist. Now that I’m 22 I have started to believe in God again because life without God seems so empty. Now my question is where should I start my journey, it seems like such a big task to read and choose which religion I believe in. I would love some guidance in the right direction!

I'm honest with you, i think just logically speaking you should seriously look into islam. Not because the other monotheistic religions are false, but Islam has all of them. If your a muslim, you're automatically a follower of moses and jesus and follow their teachings. If you really want the truth,then you need to search with an open mind and open heart. A jew stops with moses(pbuh), and christians stop at jesus(pbuh), claiming that Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a false prophet. But if you really want the true message of god, you need to understand his messengers. And only islam, tells you the truth about all the messengers,without corrupting their message.

The truth in the teachings, not the practices. Christianity's core religious text has been proven to be corrupt, and Jesus has also, I believe clearly, made statements about how he is not God, and that there is a God that he WORSHIPS. Amongst other things. That should be what moves you from Christianity to Islam, not that Muslims are more likely to follow their religion.

As SalamuAllakum..I grew up Christian/Baptist the people that told me I was that didn’t know theirselves. All of us did anything under the sun thinking we were saved.
