Considering the fact that there is a lot of plastic in the oceans now a days , they kills sharks by the dozen for soup, among other Things. Got to admit he ain't that wrong about us
The point of this story is that both Ariel and King Triton had to learn. Life is not all good or all bad. That was their take about land. It was actually for the best in terms of the story that a dramatic example had to happen for them both to understand. Such as this and what is to come.
this was my 2nd broadway show I ever saw. this was a show I will never forget. the set, the singing, the songs, the orchestra was amazing. wish I could see it again someday.
I like this choreography of Under the Sea a lot better then what came Broadway. I really like how much more involved Ariel and Flounder are in this version.
My personal opinion is yes. I believe she did the right thing. When she observed the prince for the first time she saw a kindred spirit in him. Her first impression was he seemed to be a lovely young man. So in her eyes, he deserved to be saved. And as we see later in the musical, he is a good person. Flawed but still a decent human being who so much going for him. Ariel just had a gut instinct about that.
@hpdisneyfan It's explained in the 3rd movie (ariel's beginning) basicly they were relaxing as a family around some rocks and a large ship came everyone ran (or swam) but the queen stayed after saveing one of her dauguters (the eldest) and then tried to get a music box that triton gave her. It didn't show exactly what happaned but its thaught that it was some thing along the lines of she either got ramed by the ship or caught by a net or anchor, but the bottam line is that she is dead
I have to agree with others... Under the Sea is misplaced. The fact that her father just blew up her most precious treasures (basically tried to destroy her dreams) makes me doubt that Ariel would feel much like dancing and singing ... :/
i actually like where they placed under the sea. the play needed an uplift after that intense scene. plus it's sebastian's way of making ariel listen while she's talking about going to see eric again after her father said not to
Okay, if they can manage to pull off making people, a whole cast for that matter, into sea creatures, then why can't they make two people to frogs? I mean, why isn't princess and the frog a broadway show yet?
Liked the production for "Under The Sea" but I didn't like how they reconstructed the order of the story by putting the scene after Triton destroyed Ariel's collection. It felt out of place.
I don't like that they restructured the story so that now "Under the Sea" comes after Triton yelling at Ariel and destroying her collection. It doesn't flow that well to have such a fun song after such a dramatic moment.
What happend to the statue Flounder was supposed to give her, it would have been cool if they had that in the play and they left out the fireworks on the boat.
@RubixCubeStar It's the "world above" which is so scary to him. And boats are created and used by humans, so it's totally fitting that he would be wary of humans.
hpdisneyfan she was in the surface and a pirate ship crashed into her, the third the little mermaid movie shows the scene. You can also look for the scene here on yt.
i felt sorry for ariel and her human stuff but do you think ariel did the right thing to save prince eric by the storm and do you think ariel's father ask ariel that she is going to be grounded for good?
I'm beginning to wonder if the times he puts it down might be because people might be wondering what's going on and going to check it out so to keep on going he puts it down for a little tiny bit.
The newt play the flute The carp play the harp The plaice play the bass And they sounding sharp The bass play the brass The chub play the tub The fluke is the duke of soul The ray he can play The lings on the strings The trout rocking out The blackfish she sings The smelt and the sprat they know where it's at And oh that blowfish blow! :3
Sebastian is hilarious as soon the song ended he did something and say now that’s what I’m talking about. Sebastian is assisting Arie but it slightly slipped away to the seaking and world by Arie’s human treasure wasn’t enough protected because king triton 🔱 really got Aires human distractions go goodbye. That’s a good thing because aire been distracted from a mermaid to humans
I got laughed at back when I was living in Camden at the library when I was singing and some kids was laughing and mocking me and one person posted the video on Facebook and wrote 15 mean comments instead of nice comments about me and I was embarrassed and upset about it no one likes my talent I like to sing a lot while listening to music and singing along and dancing too any positive advice for me about my situation please I need a new friend someone who’ll accept me for who I am and not judge me just because I’m different from other people please how can I find my happily ever after any advice for me am I considered a princess like princess Aurora my hair is naturally curly
Well, in some ways it is, but for this part, it just felt a little off-sync because everyone wanted to get to song first, then move on the "darker" tone of the scene. But that's just my opinion.
I don't get why people are complaining about Under the Sea being in the wrong place. No it's not, that's where it's meant to be... Jus' sayin' (in other news, SO MUCH LOVE)
@RubixCubeStar are you serious?? Disney has made the stories up! It's only partially made from the H.C Andersen story about the little mermaid. And the people who made this musical just build on it as well. Nothing in common.
"cruel, harsh, cold, vile world above"
that moment when you agree with king triton
mhm
It's not that cold and harsh and cold and vile. There are still good people in the human world.
Considering the fact that there is a lot of plastic in the oceans now a days , they kills sharks by the dozen for soup, among other Things. Got to admit he ain't that wrong about us
That part came in as I read your comment
Sebastian is singing.. hitting that high note....Go ahead!
Sierra and Norm sing The World Above so wonderful. Both of them are so good.
The point of this story is that both Ariel and King Triton had to learn. Life is not all good or all bad. That was their take about land. It was actually for the best in terms of the story that a dramatic example had to happen for them both to understand. Such as this and what is to come.
No matter how many times I watch this, I still can't get over how amazing the set is!
this was my 2nd broadway show I ever saw. this was a show I will never forget. the set, the singing, the songs, the orchestra was amazing. wish I could see it again someday.
The man who plays Sebastian has an incredible range.
Tituss Burgess
The World Above reprise is one of my favorite songs on this soundtrack. I think it's because of his voice, its just so manly and awesome
Sebastian has an amazing voice!
Under the Sea is the best number in this musical! And Sebastian is FLAWLESS.
"You've gotta put your back into it" I'M DEAD
the best part is when under the sea starts and everyone stars murmuring haha :)
NORM LEWIS'S VOICE IS SO POWERFUL AND AMAZING AND GAAAAHHHHH!!!!
wow, the under the sea scene looks amazing!!! and so creative too, and colorful!!
i love this little mermaid broadway and i love triton voice(:
Best song to do onstage. The crowd goes crazy as soon as the music starts. It's so gratifying!
God, the very end tho :D
"Under the SEE CHILD THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT" XD
King Triton, I love your voice!
You go Sebastian! That voice makes my life!
I like this choreography of Under the Sea a lot better then what came Broadway. I really like how much more involved Ariel and Flounder are in this version.

One of my local theatre companies did the junior version, and Under the Sea is back where it belongs in that version. It was so much fun!
my reaction:
tritan: *blows stuff up*
ariel: :(
sebastian: the seaweed is always better! :D
Can I just take a moment and say how much I adore her tiara :-:
I love this Triton.
Titus Burgess... WHAT A TALENT!
I am cheering so loud in my room! Woo hoo I love it!!
YAAAS! Titus sing it!
TITUS FINALLY MADE IT TO BROADWAY!!
+Emma Foley He's BEEN on Broadway LATE!!!
+Emma Foley I got what you were saying!!! UNBREAKABLE
+Hunter Roy HAHA, happy you got my Kimmy Schmidt reference lmao
+Emma Foley yepppp

sebastian's singing was...AWESOME
woah! sebastion is an awesome singer!
I have to agree with others... Under the Sea is misplaced. The fact that her father just blew up her most precious treasures (basically tried to destroy her dreams) makes me doubt that Ariel would feel much like dancing and singing ... :/

Awwww it's so heartbreaking when she precious things are broken ;(
The guy who plays Sebastian has one of the best voices i've ever heard
Okay, if they can manage to pull off making people, a whole cast for that matter, into sea creatures, then why can't they make two people to frogs? I mean, why isn't princess and the frog a broadway show yet?
+shamini vasu its not cause they cant.. jsut the theatrical version of princess and the frog wont sell to the extent they need
***** well that sucks; because it was a great film
shamini vasu I think the Princess and the Frog was to adult for kids. To make it a Broadway show would be too much.
@@kellyhutchison3064 There are so many things wrong with that statement. I don't even know where to begin.
@@kellyhutchison3064 it is ? 🤔
I just realized that this is Norm Lewis...this show has so much talent!
the staging of this show is so clever. i'm in awe. lol :D
Norm makes a great Triton
NOOO! THERE'S A FRENCH HORN IN THERE!!!
Liked the production for "Under The Sea" but I didn't like how they reconstructed the order of the story by putting the scene after Triton destroyed Ariel's collection. It felt out of place.
I thought the Under The Sea song came before the destruction of her grotto!?!?
Sailor Samara's Collections in the movie, but not in the broadway
In the movies yes but it would make more sense if they had it after because sebastian's kind of making ariel feel better. Lol.
Titus Burgess is phenomenal.
GRaCIAS POR LOS VIDEOS!!!!
FROM CHILE!
I don't like that they restructured the story so that now "Under the Sea" comes after Triton yelling at Ariel and destroying her collection. It doesn't flow that well to have such a fun song after such a dramatic moment.
Ariel's mother's name was Athena.
I just realized something; why does Ariel have a crown but King Triton does not? Isn’t he “the king here”? 🤔
lol "You got to put your back into it" :)
I have no idea how my school's drama club is going to do this next year. O_o
"My Word Is Law" Anyone else reminded of Javert? Lol
ugh i love sebastian
in the little mermaid broadway do you think ariel did the right thing to save prince eric by the storm
Of course!
That's good to hear. It suits those scenes better in the movie version order.
What do you mean something is wrong with her? Nothing is wrong. I'm confused with what you are asking me.
we don't wanna let ariel be grounded won't she
ya u get some sebastian!!!
This show is visualy amazing
What happend to the statue Flounder was supposed to give her, it would have been cool if they had that in the play and they left out the fireworks on the boat.
@RubixCubeStar It's the "world above" which is so scary to him. And boats are created and used by humans, so it's totally fitting that he would be wary of humans.
Triton is such a great singer!
Just wonderin, what happened to ariel's mother? Cause i remember hearin that her mother was dead. Just curious
hpdisneyfan she was in the surface and a pirate ship crashed into her, the third the little mermaid movie shows the scene. You can also look for the scene here on yt.
it is, they changed for this version but switched it back when they put it on for the remainder of its showing.
i felt sorry for ariel and her human stuff but do you think ariel did the right thing to save prince eric by the storm and do you think ariel's father ask ariel that she is going to be grounded for good?
Ohh, I just LOOOOVE this Sebastian!!! :D
SUPERB!
I'm beginning to wonder if the times he puts it down might be because people might be wondering what's going on and going to check it out so to keep on going he puts it down for a little tiny bit.
If i was sebastain i would fail in this song at the part of the carp play the harp idk the words
The newt play the flute
The carp play the harp
The plaice play the bass
And they sounding sharp
The bass play the brass
The chub play the tub
The fluke is the duke of soul
The ray he can play
The lings on the strings
The trout rocking out
The blackfish she sings
The smelt and the sprat they know where it's at
And oh that blowfish blow! :3
@RubixCubeStar Wasn't it a boat manned by humans?
Sierra Boggess Ariel
Tituss Burgess Sebastian
Under The Sea
The Little Mermaid Original Broadway Cast
Sebastian is hilarious as soon the song ended he did something and say now that’s what I’m talking about. i saw this in denver it was great
titus’s voice gives me chills dawg
ariel is one lucky mermaid.i mean she's princess of the sea and later on queen of the land.wow.
The guy that plays sebastion kind of reminds me of Cee-lo green when he sings! ahaha
I love this! But where's max?
Anyone else think Triton is hott?
@MUSEmaniakOO in the 25th anniversary concert you mean? yes it is :)
I must say sabastian does have a voice!
Well, in some ways it is, but for this part, it just felt a little off-sync because everyone wanted to get to song first, then move on the "darker" tone of the scene. But that's just my opinion.
@RubixCubeStar rocks and A BOAT
Also, this musical has quite a few plot quirks from the movie, so...
Crab's got some skillz.
@JulieWinchester I mean you're right^^
@RubixCubeStar Yes, a boat, and who was on the boat and tried to get stuff from the mermaids...? Right, the humans :P
@ElfinWitch713 Yep. Norm Lewis plays them both.
I have a question y do u always put down te camera when things are going on and y do u always a HAVE To b the last one clapping
do you think ariel will see prince eric again
I don't get why people are complaining about Under the Sea being in the wrong place. No it's not, that's where it's meant to be... Jus' sayin' (in other news, SO MUCH LOVE)
@RubixCubeStar
are you serious??

stranger, I didn't remember that part 2:00 I saw it during a new york broadway before.
They should really change the name of the song; everybody knows it's not 'Under the Sea' it's 'Undah da Sea!'
what's wrong with ariel?
Ariel is crying and she lost her hope too
well I know youre weird out why the put under the sea after the destruction of the grotto, but atleast whe can cheer up a bit after a dramatic moment
Es verdad que Ud. es de Chile?
he was so good in that
Disney is Disney. They can do whatever they want. Besides its just a movie. its a great movie.
thats how it was the movie right?
The movie was first
Which is how it's SUPPOSED to be done, not by looks. Looks are for Hollywood, not Broadway.
@GabriellaHSMFan that was in enchanted? no it isnt.
@FallingRedRose its not its sierra mckormack
@SuperBroadwayNerd
I agree! the mermaid costumes disapointed me as well as flounders....
