Oh the 23rd June is basically The Catalan Festival of Fire, which is the main celebrations for Sant Joan. The Feast of Sant Joan is celebrated mainly throughout the Catalan-speaking countries of Catalonia, Valencia, the Balearic Islands and the French Province of Rousillon, which is known as Rosselló in Catalan or more simply Catalunya Nord, or North Catalonia, because it was Catalan territory until the 1650s.

@@TheWonderingEnglishman Sant Joan is the Catalan for Saint John, who is referred as John The Baptist. Basically a Christian feast day celebrating the birth of Jesus’ likely cousin, Saint John the Baptist. This is considered to be the national day of the Catalan Countries

Hi Guys! I'm trying out this Premiere feature for the first time - No idea why really - but it will allow me to interact with the Subscribers on this video - I may or may not do a Premier again - really depends on how this one goes. Looking forward to the feedback - via the comments. Be nice to everyone!

Used to work 2+years in Toulouse and loved every minute of it. Interestingly, have thought of purchasing nearby Narbonne, Perpignan. Your video makes me wanna speed up the process. Go ahead, settle there with your family.:) I hear you can buy a small studio for 25K Euros. Wish I could help you with some of the pronunciations but even I am not sure because of it's Catalan/Spanish etymology - my excuse. Thanks for the video . Brought back great souvenirs. Your sister's husband is French?

      Narbonne is nice
I generally like most of France - probably my favourite country as it has all landscapes. Sisters Husband is form Northern Ireland so no relationship to France :)
Good luck with your future purchase!

I am not a youtuber but i have some videos on my channel: medieval swordfighting tournament in Tallinn and polar beras new home in the Tallinn zoo. If interested, check it out!
    All the best!

Lovely video to counteract the gray November in Chicago. Could have asked the parents what the secret to 40 years together is for them. Forty years on the back end could be doable with someone.
Dying to know more about the family house in Toulouse. You could video like the Peter Mayle books. Better yet film your parents on the travels like Jack Whitehall is doing.
Would have loved seeing more about Matisse museum nearby. There is still time to splice in the James Bond shot coming out of the water in his blue bathing suits. If you want to up subscribers have someone film your shot coming out of the water in your blue bathing suit. It works on Poldark.
Your walk was the coastal escape line during world war 2. Your fort was occupied by the nazis marine division.
Don’t laugh at the tram for transportation. Many people need it for children , the disabled or elderly. I needed assistance the year it took getting over a bad car accident.
It looks like a lovely village with pretty beaches , although the best conch fritters are at the fountainbleau in Miami.
Libertyville Illinois had a French chef and called his restaurant cafe Pyrenees. I dined there for a decade every Thursday night after music lessons for my daughter. The fish dishes were amazing.
You should be fine photographing dressed children in public. I take photos of children around the world. They are some of my best shots.
I tried one of your techno videos. I really did. This video could have benefited from the meg Ryan French Kiss movie soundtrack and more sparkling rose on a boat ride.
Looking forward to your travels as always
    Caroline

Wow! What an amazing comment this time! I didn’t want to over expose the family - they don’t want to be on RUclips - hence a few shots is OK. But yes insight into their 40s should be documented maybe privately!
Me coming out of ocean probably isn’t the way to gain subscribers :) but I appreciate the comment anyway! You are right about elderly, disabled, sick and children - but the rest have no excuse! :)

The wondering Englishman but if there is a family house in Toulouse there is a great story. Good comments on the eu and clip on the waste and corruption. Hopefully someone will figure out an actual brexit even if it needs to be comedian Tracey ulman doing it. Her show is priceless.
By the time the United Nations and nato is reworked things will improve.
The Mediterranean looks amazing. You did a nice job explaining the first floor difference for us yanks too.
Wish you had footage of Remembrance Day 100 anniversary in England.
      Keep on posting.
Not sure what the premiere you tube content provides.
I hope you listen to the French kids soundtrack for the next trip.

The wondering Englishman sounds magical. You would like our impressionist collection at the art institute.
I know how you feel about being in old ruins. I do love Westminster abbey for that reason. Old here is 200 years old .
The fort in Puerto Rico has the cannons too. It’s interesting to study history and ponder the new inventions ( except techno ) .
Still think the beach shot would work. It works for Aidan Turner on poldark. Cornwall looks beautiful too.
Make a family documentary as the historian. I’m the family photographer with casual and unusual shot capturing the thirteen great grandkids from the six of us. Unfortunately as my father said “ there’s always one missing studying in China “.

I dated a girl who lived in Chicago she worked/studied at the Art Institute - so I guess I got to see some amazing work there in that wonderful building. Cornwall is very beautiful I’ll try to visit again someday! Sounds like you have a very big family! That must be very heartwarming :)

Great explanation of Collioure until the narrator - noting an EU flag and possible funding for the heritage site - lowered the tone with a cheap shot at Europe, whining about the EU having 'some' positives! Shame it interfered with a good show!

Thanks for watching and commenting. I made my video in 2018 - so if you recall by then we still hadn't left the EU and there were questions whether we would actually "Get Brexit done" - turns out our incompetent corrupt leaders did a pretty bad deal (we still submit to the ECJ is one example). I love Europe (as you will see from all my videos on Europe (over 500 of them). I'm just not a fan of politicians and big Government.
