I don't think it's limestone though. That would be cool though. We have so much rock that I've dug up though I'm sure we'll be using it all over the place at some point.
We want to put a pond beyond the leach field and use the flat area over the field for a yard, plus the wind is strong from the west. A spray system wouldn't work well with all these conditions. As far as I know you still have to install the tanks to separate the solids out in a spray system. Not 100% sure what the best option was but this is what the county recommended.
@@Off-Grid the spray system can go where your leach field would go. It's usually two spray heads that spray a 30ft radius. You can set the timer two come on at 3am or so. The main advantage is you dig a hole for the tank and that's it. The spray lines can be buried as shallow as 4 inches deep. It is a little more expensive though. My system for a family of 4 was $4200
@@jl9678 gotcha, I'd guess you have some additive to treat for the effluent smell which we wouldn't want on the yard we'd be playing in. I took the test and got licensed to install septic systems so my total cost is around $3k.
Thank you for watching!
Wow, those rocks make it much more challenging! We just had sand, clay and small rocks to dig through.
We didn't know there would be so much rock when we bought the land. It's crazy.
It's going to be OK, things not always smooth going GOD BLESS 🙏
Some days it's a battle for sure.
ah just think of the nice flat limestone for landscaping.

Can you rent a jack hammer for the excavator? Attaches to th end of the boom. That way you don't have to do it by hand.
Yep, I've looked into that and talked about it a little in the following video. I went to pick it up but it wouldn't fit my bobcat.
Would it be cheaper to do a spray system instead of leach field?
