I could not agree more. Doesn’t matter where you’re from. I’m in the US & from the era of this band. This band was never given the recognition they deserved. Steve was an icon & beyond in my opinion.

I agree. In my opinion there were 3 greatest rock vocalists of all time. All were under appreciated & taken too soon. Ray Gillen of Badlands. Jani Lane of Warrant & Steve Lee of Gotthard. The last of my top 4 is Paul Laine of Danger Danger.

Angels die too ....Steve Lee (born Stefan Alois in Horgen, Switzerland, August 5, 1963 - October 5, 2010) was a great Swiss musician ... 5 Oct. 2010 an idiot with a semi truck hit a parked motorcycle then changed a life in death. So an Angel been killed , what a huge lost for the Heaven of Music .

That's such a pain to discover great band and then find out about Steve. What a loss!!! His amazing voice, live appearance and something unique in himself... Till I've found Gotthard (smack in the face of management for bad promotions - everyone should know them, I'm not only one who discovered this band so late!!!) I've never thought that I can listen the same music thousands of times. There's nobody who can replace Steve now, maybe David Coverdale and Steve Perry at their best... We love you Steve now and ETERNALLY.....

I just discovered this amazing band a couple of months ago and I couldn´t believe I never had heard about them. It was a very sad moment to know that Steve Lee had died. What a loss :(
In meinen Augen der größte Rock-Sänger aller Zeiten. Bodenständig, Glücklich, Charma das es besser kaum geht und eine Stimme das es dich von der ersten bis zur letzten Sekunde friert. Siehe ACDC und Co, die müßen sich verbiegen für ihre Stimme. Er steht da als wäre es das einfachste auf der Welt. Ich konnte ihn einige mal Live erleben und er hat mir immer etwas nässe in die Augenwinkel gezaubert. Ein Mensch wie er sucht seinesgleichen, egal ob auf der Bühne, im sozialen oder einfach als er wie er dasteht und lacht. Er starb bei seiner Erfüllung seines größten Traumes, mit seinen engsten Freunden bei seinem liebsten Hobby. Allein das sagt alles über eine größe wie ihn aus.

Nun halt mal schön die Luft an; denn Bon Scott von ACDC sang locker auch drei Oktaven und noch höher, und das mit einer Leichtigkeit, als wenn er mal kurz hallo zu seiner Oma sagt!!
Und in der Lautstärke war er Steve Lee auch um Längen überlegen.
Würde es eine weltweite Abstimmung über Bon Scott und Steve Lee geben, dann wäre Steve Lee sehr weit unten in der Rangliste.
Siehst ja selbst, dass der große internationale Durchbruch für Gotthard nie stattgefunden hat, obwohl Steve Lee eine absolut tolle Stimme hatte und auch die Töne absolut hinnagelte, als wenn ihm eine Rockengel im Hals sitzen würde; aber dennoch kann er verglichen mit Bon Scott nur sein kleiner Bruder sein, weil ihm das rotzfreche Etwas in seine Stimme absolut fehlte, was Bon Scott im Übermaß besaß!!!!
