    Coming here for reassurance again. I made a terrible mistake of not unfollowing some medical instagram accounts and I just saw a post about pelvic pain/pudendal neuralgia (surgery, procedures, how horrible and untreatable it is), I unfollowed immediately but i can’t stop thinking about it now. I need to be smarter, cause bad thought always stay while good ones are hard to keep.
    I want to make this decision but the medical world is still scaring me like a monster under my bed.

    I understood it when I saw the first videos about Dr Sarno and I bought the book The Way Out by Alan Gordon this year. But it is your videos that changed everything and I fully got it and the realization kicked in that it's the mindset. My symptoms started one morning and I stayed calm instead of panicking and said to myself this is temporary. Instead of many days of sickness and pain it only lasted 1 day. Amazing ❤

    Yes. I would love to hear more about this. I was “diagnosed” with Small Fiber Neuropathy from a punch biopsy. So all the doctors say the burning sensations that I experience are due to that.. but Dr. Schubiner says otherwise. Similar to MRI’s of the back, lots of people have positive punch biopsies for Small Fiber Neuropathy that do not have any symptoms. This “diagnosis” has been what is holding me back from full commitment. It’s difficult. I’ve worked myself into chronic stress/anxiety. Was even referred to an endocrinologist because they were concerned about how high my cortisol was. After the tests, no other cause for high cortisol other than just stress and anxiety, which is reassuring. It’s hard to “not care” when you have persistent nerve pain, but I must push forward with my life and stop putting it on hold until I “get better”.

      Retro: me too. Near exact. I did go to a neurologist 4/6/24. He seemed confused. His diagnosis: poly neuropathy? Thats what it said with a ? Im 70 but fit active no meds lift weights
      On TMS wiki they talked of SFN : that its total TMS
      For me symptoms override logic: numb burning feet up my legs. Dan did a success story with Rita. CRPS. Ive talked with Rita twice. She couldnt wear shoes
      In my gut i know im ok. My brain is the problem
      Nerve damage is BS. Our nerves are not damaged!
      The strange neurologist wanted me back to EMG & biopsy. I canceled

    I believe I have PDP but through this long journey, I’ve gotten older and maybe that’s why it’s not going away. It started early sixties, I was extremely active with no pain. I feel like I’m getting more pains in my pelvis and all over my body. The stress that started it, taking care of an elderly patents who had strokes is still
    present. I have had days hours where the pain is really low but some days its bad and my whole body is weak.

      Maybe the probiotics are causing more issues. They really need to be tailored to the individual. Upheaval will cause anxiety which interferes with digestion. Brain/gut axis. Used to eat everything then my mum passed young, I did get a stomach ulcer heli co bacteria. Course types of antibiotics. Was still left with food issues. Am under top London hospital gastric. Dietician says I'm getting all the nutrients I need. I found oats made with water ( natural probiotic)and then a treat of jam has settled most IBS. Definitely flares when life gets stressy. But I know mine is PDP.

    Dan, what about nba players or other celebrities who had surgery to repair herniated discs and fully recovered?
    Nobody told them about tms?
    Just wondering why few people believe in tms.
    When you watch you tube herniated discs videos, so many views for different exercises, surgery reviews, etc.
    We need more tms success stories especially for back, neck conditions

    • @PainFreeYou

      Success rates for back surgery are maybe 50%. Sometimes a surgery can act as a placebo. There's actually a book "Surgery, the ultimate placebo". While nobody told them about TMS, the perception of danger was resolved by the surgery.

      How my syptoms behave suggest tms , but the symptoms of herniated discs as explained by doctors, are also like the tms symptoms.
      That is why herniated discs or spine problems are the hardest to fix, even by the tms approach.
      Mind body can work especially when nothing is wrong with your MRI. Just my opinion.spine problems can really play funny games with your mind and especially your body.

    I can’t remember Dan but why does the pain or symptoms get triggered by activities you love doing ?

  • @Laughing-doves
    @Laughing-doves 3 месяца назад +1

    I have an important question Dan - my doctor is no longer in my health plan and I need to go to a new doctor - now my previous doctor did a million test and says I am healthier than most 20 year olds and he could not find anything wrong with me - Same with the doctor before him. So he knows I have TMS only because I diagnosed myself and he agreed that I was probalby right and that it is TMS. - But going to the new doctor how do I explain what this is in medical terms - because I still have painful digestive symptoms, muscle spasms, chronic fatigue etc. - and I want to establish a clear communication with my new doctor to be able to recognize moving forward if it is still TMS or something else if something else comes up. My old doctor understoond why I did not want to pursue a gastroenterologist or a nerve doctor etc but how to establish communicating with my new doctor my fight or flight brain situation. I do need a doctor for real issues that may arise in the future - and the new doctor may not even agree with my TMS diagnosis and I may have to move onto one that does but in the meanitime how do I communicate this TMS in simple succinct terms to any new doctor?

    • @PainFreeYou
      @PainFreeYou  3 месяца назад

      My explanation is simple. I believe symptoms are created by a brain perceiving danger. Stress induced symptoms. I wouldn't get into Sarno's whole theory of repressed emotions. Stick with stress illness type of language. And if the doctor is open, they can watch the first video in my fast start playlist. DansFastStart.com
