Red Velvet is one of the few groups that consistently bring tears to my eyes just because everything they do hits so damn hard... Not sure if it's cause I'm going through a break up rn but the vocals be hitting so close to home it's hard not to feel it.
If you're interested in hearing more of their solo songs, 3 of the girls have solo albums (Joy's "Hello", Wendy's "Like Water" and Seulgi's "28 Reasons"), plus a duo sub-unit IRENE&SEULGI with "Monster" and Yeri has a SMStation of her self-written and self-produced song "Dear Diary". Irene doesn't have an official solo debut, but she recorded a song for the OST of the drama "Double Patty", where she also starred and a song with DJ Raiden called "The Only".

The spaceman in "I just" is the representation of the producer(Hitchhiker), he also used it for his own EDM songs which sometimes featured kpop singers. He's had a long and varied career(singer,bassist,composer,producer,etc) under different names, including as a kpop singer himself in the 90s, albeit a very different style to now.
Maybe now you understand why there were people who claimed Red Velvet as the pinnacle of girl groups. It's just that the members were crazy.
