PROPER MEASUREMENTS FOR MAKING A CORSET DRESS

Measurements needed for a full corset bridal dress:
Measurements Needed:
1. Bust:
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape measure level and parallel to the floor.
2. Underbust:
Measure around the torso, just under the bust, keeping the tape measure level and parallel to the floor.
3. Waist:
Measure around the narrowest part of the natural waistline, keeping the tape measure level and parallel to the floor.
4. Hips:
Measure around the fullest part of the hips, about 7-9 inches (18-23 cm) below the waistline.
5. Length:
Measure from the center back of the neck, over the shoulder, and down to the desired length of the corset.
6. Over-bust :
Measure around the fullest part of the over bust.
7. Sleeve Length :
Measure from the base of the shoulder, over to the elbow , and down to the wrist.
8. Round sleeve:
Measure the fullest part of the arm, the 3quarter just after the knee and the wrist.
9. Breast Point:
Measure from the center front of the body, between the shoulder to the nipple point,
10. Half Length:
Measure from the the neck, over the shoulder, and down to the halfway point of the waistline.
11. Underbust Length:
Measure from the shoulder down to the under-bust.
12. Full Blouse Length:
Measure from the center of the neck, over the shoulder, and down to the desired length of the blouse. It must pass over the burst.
13. Blouse Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of the upper hips, at the desired length of the blouse.
14. Nipple to Nipple:
Measure between the centers of the nipples, to ensure proper placement of the corset busk or closure.
Points to Note:
1. Take multiple measurements to ensure accuracy.
2. Use a flexible tape measure to ensure a comfortable fit.
3. Keep the tape measure level and parallel to the floor.
4. Measure over the undergarments and clothing that will be worn with the corset.
5. Consider any adjustments needed for a comfortable fit, such as adding ease or subtracting for a more cinched look.
6. Record all measurements carefully, including any notes or adjustments.
Remember to take your time and be precise when taking these measurements to ensure a well-fitting corset.

Aren't you supposed to tuck the tape under her bust whilst taking her full blouse measurements
