Brent, wow you captured the riding so well in this episode. As others have said your creative work is above and beyond. I just wanted to jump on my bike and join in on the super flowy tracks you were riding. 4 X Austrian Thumper Fun. As a Canadian I really had no idea there was such dramatic geography in Australia. I think you have done your country great justice with this series. I suspect a lot more people are going to now want to ride your magnificent lands. Oh and by the way Skydio better be sending you their next new drone as you are doing an amazing job of demonstrating how great their product is. The camp cooking footage was a welcome addition although the Italians might not agree on your assessment of the pasta dish LOL. Big thanks as always.

    Fantastic video and ride!
I have to challenge you though to put the Utah BDR on your list.
You wouldn’t believe how stunning the terrain and the the amount of change in surroundings can be.
The Utah BDR Starts off in red rocks and desert sand.
Then you begin climbing into junipers and almost a white rock.
You then hit the Moab area which is red rock like your in mars.
You would think that’s enough but no it is time to hit the mountains and lakes which are like mixing elk city to pine in Idaho with a bit of Colorado mountains.
I am a bit bias as I am the Utah BDR ambassador however I should swing you my way because I rise a 701 as well lol!
Thanks for the videos and the tutorials very much!

I used to have the DJI Mavic Pro, Air 2 and they’re quite OK, now I switched to the DJI Mini 3 Pro for lighter more compact luggage but it’s not good for tracking the ride in higher speed. Thinking of having another drone for the job.

But it’s fantastic to have someone that has done a ride to an area before so you don’t waste time wondering 💭 we’re to go etc . Do you still record the sound with a lapel mic in your pocket or jacket ? I have watched all your videos on gopro set up and am new to it so I'm learning.

    • @brentbat
      @brentbat  2 года назад

      Hi there Jason
Yes, I always tend to use ND filters because they make my footage more cinematic and less "hectic" if used properly. Yes, I have the lapel mic rigged in in my jacket and use it (except where I forget to plug it in). So that is why I don't have any wind noise on my gopro footage.
Enjoy learning... you'll find your video quality improves quickly.

@@PSBEadventures I'm surprised you got such big fluctuations in temp in mid-April.... but I guess that makes the adventure. I'm doing two BDR's this year and looking forward to them. I'll check out your channel when I get a moment.

@@brentbat same here man, I figured we'd be fine. The MABDR heads straight north and I figured we'd get a bit of cool, but not blizzard! The people made the trip man, I live just south of the MABDR southern start, but folks up there are living like I grew up. Like 40 years ago, which for me can be a good thing maybe! It was a great trip! We hope to do the Idaho bdr next summer hopefully. For sure, if you get bored check out my BDR series, especially the wood stove one!

Dear Brent, a very inspiring video of your adventures in the Flinders Ranges. I am preparing to head to flinders myself early July. I was wondering if you can share the map of this ride you did on this day. Best regards, Peter

      Hey Peter
Yes, I'm planning to share the gpx files for all 8 days of my trip... I'm probably about 7-10 days away from publishing them, but if you need them faster than that, then drop me an email at brentbat@gmail.com and I'll shoot them straight out to you.

Hi Brent, love your work mate and your adventures.
I’m heading down to the Flinders for a week in October on my FE 350, and have noticed in your comments that you have published the GPX files for this trip.
Where can I find these ?
    Cheers, Chris.

Hey Peter, No, unfortunately I didn't get to Warraweena due to the rain, but I will go back again and do Mt. Gill and Copper track for sure.

Great video's Brent, I agree, you've done a fantastic job of documenting your rides and sharing it with the world.
I will be buying a Husky 701 later this year and getting out and about myself.
Getting hold of the OEM LR tank kit is not going to be easy or fast so I'll have explore other options in the interim.
I look forward to seeing more from you.
Would you be able to share which drone you have or recommend please Brent?
    Great job 👍🇦🇺😊

Hey Scott, Glad you are getting a 701, I love that bike. Regarding fuel options, there are a ton out there... I've been using the standard tank for the last year and only needed to carry a bladder once, but I think I'm going to fit the 6L Rade tank under the seat.

@Brent Pearson thanks for your reply Brent, yeah the Trade Garage one gives you 5.9litres after you remove the OEM air-box, and you can get an IMS set too but then you have a fuel cap for each side although they should have a cross feed balance tube. Also going to get a Twin Air tank strainer to filter any rubbish out.
Yes there's plenty of options. Can't wait! 😀🤙
