In this episode of The Lallantop’s ‘Netaji Ghere Mein’, Editor Saurabh Dwivedi is in conversation with an Indian politician, former actor and former President of the Lok Janshakti Party Chirag Paswan. He is the son of late Member of Parliament and Union Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan. The simmering tensions between uncle Paras and nephew Chirag were hardly a secret in the party. The gentrified, smooth-talking Chirag Paswan had once briefly attempted a Bollywood career and was never at ease with his uncle. Pashupati Nath Paras is an old school politician and was seen as second in command in the LJP till Chirag’s emergence in the 2014 Lok Sabha election changed the pecking order in the party. Chirag’s single-minded obsession in opposing Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar in 2020 also proved to be his undoing. The LJP, a part of the NDA till a couple of weeks prior to the 2020 Bihar assembly poll, had struck out on its own and started continuously attacking Nitish. 100% Voters = 67% people voted + 33% People did not vote
for example
Example 1: 10 Voters 6.7 Voted. Out of 6.7 votes, 37% voted for BJP. (37 % of 6.7 votes = 2.5 votes). 2.5 votes out of 10 Voters is 25%.
