  • The recent farming protests in Wales have once again raised the question in public consciousness of whether nature's recovery and food production are compatible. We believe this to be a false argument.
Farming and nature go hand in hand. Without nature there would be no farming.
In this panel discussion, we try to get to the centre of the issue - will the new Sustainable Farming Scheme in Wales, which provides subsidies for farmers, help them to achieve both: produce food whilst ensuring nature's recovery?
A panel event with Carolyn Thomas - MS, Hilary Kehoe - Nature Friendly Farming Wales, Megan Gimber - People's Trust for Endangered Species, Flora Price - Farmer and Rachel Sharp - Wildlife Trust Wales. Chaired by Craig Bennett, Chief Executive of The Wildlife Trusts.
Broadcast from the Wildlife Trusts Wales' tent at The Royal Welsh Agricultural Show 2024.
