I did buy this cladding but I didn't drill any holes. Took some time to weld each stainless steel bolt cut smooth on the side that's on the body, painted the raw spots from grinding, used a scrub pad to scratch up the surface, cleaned up with acetone, applied auto 3M double sided tape, clean Jeep sides with acetone, and pressed on. No holes drilled. I'm not rock climbing, on for aesthetics only. drilled holes = Rust!
I’m late to the party as usual. 😊 I’m planning to pick these up but wanted to check out the video first. Nicely done Merideth! Now I’m wondering if she’s still there..
Awesome video . Look nice on the jeep.- parts and tools was $201.45.- on ebay!!!!! Keep going girl!!!!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice job, but there will be major rust in a few years. All the holes have bare metal exposed,
It will be fine
I added rust-o-Leum paint inside also used ultra black rtv sealant inside before inserting the nutserts. Been 6 years now and no rust lines.
42 holes! I would probably mess up most of them. Nice job, looks good.
I tell you what I just put these on and that shit was hard it took me all weekend
Excellent video
Thanks for watching! -Zach
Will there be ones for the JL?
What is a nutsert tool?
It's used to easily install rivnuts in places where you would not be able to access the back of the fastener. You can check out one we have on our site here --> www.extremeterrain.com/smittybilt-nutsert-tool-1.html
Every time I see #Merideth I want to buy something - it's going to be damn expensive :-)
Never 👎 ever do this to a Jeep!
