I like ring planners and I can use binder rings to make a whole year together at the end of year to create a volume.

I made the same switch to the A5 ring agenda and struggled with the same problems. I can’t stand not having the entire year in one volume. I switched back this year and am so much happier. Great things to consider before switching!

I always archive all my planners because I don’t like to throw them out. But, I tend to throw out the ring inserts that are full of random notes and tasks.

This planner tip was so helpful to me. I truly understand about many planners for many years . Very confusing to me now especially since my surgery.

Love this tip! I've been using a Daily Duo for the first time this year and often use it for journaling too. I've been wondering what to do with the first half once I move into the second half of the year, but this has helped me think about archiving it at least until the academic year is over. This video felt so cozy, between your lovely voice and the backdrop of the Planner Castle :)

a5 rings and discs are the absolute best for me in theory but they do not work for me in reality because of what you said....I like to be able to go back and flip through for memory and reference and want it all in one space. I have moved to weekly that I can throw out if I want and tn set up for memory keeping.

Hi Sarah, I'm so glad that you brought up the issue about agendas. I had exactly the same issue this year. I was using a beautiful filofax A5 agenda with perfect May Paper Co inserts, but part way through the year, I realised that I hated the idea of not keeping it all in one book. It really bothered me as I like to flip through in years to come. So, for 2025, I bought a hemlock and oak bound weekly and bound daily. It has great paper but is very much in the hobonichi grid style. I know I am going to love it. Perhaps you could do a review sometime of the hemlock and oak, if you haven't already done this.

How did you archive the 7x9” binder that EC used to have? I took my pages out and was able to store those in one of the boxes EC used to ship the coiled planners in
That worked really well because I could fit the whole thing in my binders. One time I combined my weekly and daily binder pages together with big book rings and snapped an EC cover on!
