bc needs to get a diff goalie out there just for a little bit as a goalie i know how fucking heartbreaking and soul shattering is is to just keep being shot on and missing those save every single time in a championship game it makes me wonder do they have another goalie? like im sure they d but why aren't they using her?

There are. Looks like there’s only one but Sammy White is black and she’s on Northwestern! Not many of them play but if you want to watch a game with black people playing watch the championships where countries play against each other (like africa against canada and other teams like that)
I know this is from a while ago but lacrosse is a predominantly white sport because there are significant financial barriers of entry to the upper levels of the sport. If you don’t spend money you can’t have good gear, coaching, club team access, exposure, etc. Plus, the sport being mostly white can be intimidating for POC who may be interested in playing lacrosse but see it as a hostile environment.
Why would there be?
