Very good video of the Expo Line from Downtown Los Angeles to Downtown Santa Monica. It’s faster & better than driving he Santa Monica Freeway(Parking Lot).
Yes, that is the Expo Line! Be sure to get your tickets! Everybody, all aboard! Light Train! lol I loved the train Tour! Thanks Mr. Ambassador!! 🎶👍🌹👍😍👍🎶
Christian Perry I don’t know if you got an answer or not but the ride from Union Station to Hollywood is on the Red Line subway and it doesn’t involve any transfer. The best station to get off at is the Hollywood and Highland station which puts you in the heart of Hollywood.
RhaspsoLin ...you can forget that noise, that commute will take the better part of a day. Just google maps the two locations, hit the public transit icon...and it will give you the perfect route and time.
PAUL Z ...go to Union Station, take either the Metro line or Amtrak, preferably Amtrak, to Anaheim station. From there, there is a bus shuttle direct to Disneyland. Do check the timetables. Price between 10-15 dollars.
Expo Line is light rail. Mostly above ground. Red Line is heavier rail. All subway. The Purple Line (merges with the Red Line) is currently being extended to the west side further down Wilshire Blvd, but that won't be finished for many years.
How many billions of dollars was spent on this project. What about our homeless and other problems in Los Angeles. Garrett should have started with Sepulveda Blvd to the Valley.
@@whiteclifffl Aren't you a bitter soul. The reason it's under democrat control is nobody wants to buy the Republican's product. The California GQP died a slow and painful death. Can't blame the dems for that. May I recommend a new book I think you'll enjoy. They're giving it away for free at Barnes & Noble. It. called "The Art of Being a Loser." by Donald Trump.
@@antoniahamilton3201 Okay “Antonio”.... The reason that LA was lost to DemonRats was the invasion of illegal aliens. Downtown LA now looks like Tijuana. You’re still living with TDS. What a tool. Enjoy your $1,400 welfare check.
One thing has nothing to do with the other. Different pots of money. Transit approved funds by voters need to be spent on public transit projects. There are funds for homeless that are currently being used to for housing projects. It is happening but it takes time.
No public transit “makes money”. All transit requires investment called “subsidies”. The level of subsidy will vary and depend on ridership. They serve a very useful purpose for the community that isn’t measured in dollars. If the economic benefits were measurable transit would produce a “profit”.
LA Metro does service parts of LA County as well and not just the actual city of LA. In some ways it's a regional as well as city Metro. The Gold, Green, Blue, and Expo lines take you to ares outside the borders of LA city.

whiteclifffl Have fun sitting in LA Traffic while light rail trains zoom right past you. I know that traffic in both New York and Los Angeles (and most other cities in the country) is horrendous to a point where taking transit is much faster.
JeremiahC99 So not true. I just took an “express” train from downtown New York to New Haven today. It took 20 minutes longer to go on the train than by car. My friend beat me. The train was hot, dirty, slow and bumpy. This was one of the new cars too! Mass transit SUCKS!! Have you ever driven on the 105 in LA? The cars are ALWAYS going faster than the train in the middle of the freeway...IF there are any cars running. I love the convenience of hopping in my car and going when I want to... Not waiting an hour for a train to leave the station. Government officials would LOVE to force us out of our cars. They want to control every aspect of our personal lives. Good luck riding on slow, overcrowded and EXPENSIVE mass transit.
Thanks for helping LA tourists! Beats driving in those enormous parking lots (I mean, freeways).
Easy make then tollways

Can't wait to see the completion of the Crenshaw/LAX line.
Xcelron ...wonder if it will happen in my life time.
If Metro doesn't finish the Crenshaw line by next year, we will have to collect the seven Dragon Balls and wish for the line to be completed.

So how many transfers do you have to make on this trip?
Perry's Theatre ...just one. @the 7th &Fig Station
Michael Jiroch thanks! BTW are there any transfers going on the line to Hollywood from union station or 7th?

i see, thanks so much :)
Half an hour roughly, plus another seven minutes on the Red Line from Union Station to 7th Street. Faster than a freeway
