As someone who well remembers the Great Central/Great Northern network in this area, I must say this is an absolute joy to watch. I even found myself trying to spot my house, excellent video, thanks for posting. Stephen.
Thanks Stephen, its a nice little route. I just caught the end of the steam era. Remember as a youngster when Steam loco's pulling empty coal wagons used to leave the local power station and they sometimes let us have a ride on the footplate, or in the brake van, only for a couple of hundred yards or so while it was on the power station track, but was great fun for a youngster. Its all demolished now.
Hi Ryan, thanks for the comment :) . its one I built myself. Cost me a bit though over the years as keep upgrading it. I do run and record Train Sim in a higher 2560x1440 resolution on my monitor, but RUclips will only show the vids in a lower 1920x1080 res. System Specs - Asus Maximus IX Code m/b - i7-7700k Cpu (4.2ghz--4.5ghz turbo) - CPU liquid cooled - 12gb Titan Xp Graphics Card - 32gb 3000mhz ddr4 ram - Corsair 1500 watt PSU - 3 x PCIe SSD's of various sizes - 1TB Sata III SSD - 6TB Hard Drive - Asus G-Sync 2560x1440 monitor
I imagine a crisp winter morning with Dad coming home from the pit to a warm cosy coal fired house with smoke wisping out of the chimney.

Thanks so much for this. Always wanted to know what London Road HL & Weekday Cross looked like when in use.
What a dazzlingly detailed animation. Many thanks!

How did you create this?
10 trucks and no brakevan pulled by #48142? It's good you made sure those trucks didn't try it on
