I made the mistake of buying a jacket with a waterproof liner when I first got my bike. I didn't realize it at the time, but the liner doesn't protect anything in my jacket pockets, or the jacket itself, from getting waterlogged. Tossed the liner in the trash and bought a waterproof rain jacket that fits over my riding jacket that I just keep in my backpack, then I bought the pants too after I rode through a storm on my way to work. Now when it's raining I'm so neon yellow that I look like a crossing guard having a midlife crisis.
Today was my kids first day of school. My wife took them in and I was on my motorcycle so we didn't clog up the parking lot with my big truck. It started to thunderstorm....
I use a 5.11 Brand 3 season jacket for my rain gear. Has hi-vis and reflective, removable hood, 100% water and windproof, with a removable cold weather liner that can also be worn by itself, and it has rubber at the shoulders and elbows, and it's only about $300. Only downside is no armor so you would need to wear something underneath, but it's perfect for keeping in a bag for just in case.
Saving us money! That guy wearing 60 shirts and 9 jeans? That's brilliant! I'm looking at flights and some are really cheap but no baggage, I think you just saved me some hard earned cash Yammie! I only needed like a week of clothing, so just 7 pants and 7 or 8 dress shirts, 7 pairs of socks, and up to 7 ties (which should make me look the most professional traveler wearing 7 ties).
i recently rode 200kms , taking me 7hrs due to traffic in heavy downpouring rain. having good waterproof clothing would have been a good investment to make 😂✌️
My buddy steered us towards a lightning storm last weekend, I think he forgot I was just wearing my khakis instead of my riding pants lol. When we finally got back, he took off his helmet, emptied his pockets, and dove into the pool. Yes, we ride a drz and a crf250
Yammie or Spite. What are your thoughts on the 02 zx600e compared to the 02 zx6r? I'm picking up a 02 zx600e around the middle of September. I was hoping you could give some insight on them. I know the zx6r is the race style bike and my son to be zx600 it's the sport touring version. Any other difference besides the engine and ergos?
Remember to make sure your pants zipper is completely waterproof! Nothing sucks more then making it through a rainstorm taking all your gear off and realizing water soaked them and it looks like you wet yourself!

guys on gen one klrs usually dress better when they ride than 99 percent of sports bike riders I see. I have yet to see a dude on a klr in slippers or vans and wife beaters... just sayin.
