I have a 5 ft peninsula and think I will get two of these mounted vertically pushing the flow along the glass and hopefully back up the middle towards the overflows. Having 8 different flow direction adjustments for each pump has to be a good thing. I like that you can set them up easily with the controller and only need the app if you want to programme something more complicated
Pumps are great added them to my tank. I personally like them over the mp40 and 60. I can hide them better and my tank doesn't look like it has head phones on it. BUT ON A LARGE TANK...NOTHING BEATS OLD SCHOOL! Hammer Head on 4 1" sea swirls on a closed loop.
Really like the new controller and the ability to move each side in 2 directions. If I didn't have my Gyre on the Hydros wave engine, I would consider these.
Not sure if you mentioned it but the cages on this gyre work on the 330 and 350 pumps aswell meaning you can upgrade those pumps to have the 4 directional outputs
Interesting video. I gotta wonder if the app was changed recently? There are so many reviews (BRS for instance), and even whole threads on R2R, where people are complaining the app is hot garbage. From what we see it, it seems perfectly fine. No difficulties finding settings or changing pump flow patterns.
Now that’s the way to go. As that AI you had on with blue color rotor just looked toyish. So these do get a bit finicky especially in the beginning and will get easily clogged by the smallest sand or other debris. You may recall I had them on vertically in the tank when we just set up with the MP40s and it was just making a ton of mess and we couldn’t get the proper flow. Now only one in the center and the other in the sump!! 😂 expensive water mover!
I hope Maxspect made the directions a little easier to understand than their old gyres because they were the worst direction Manual i have ever read. Also, the gyres need a lot of maintenance because the biofilm cuts the flow in half within a month or 2 of cleaning
I've read many, many comments that the app stinks. @@ReefDudes Kessils mobile app and lack of wifi in the A360X lights is shocking. I like the laminar flow these provide, I'll probably pull the trigger soon.

On hydros website, they say there are compatible with an adapter cord! I'm going to do a similar thing with the wave engine V2

did they have the same rotor that is rusting like old ones?
If it was an issue I’m sure it’s been fixed but I have not experienced any rusting so I can’t say 100% on that
What do you think of the app? I think one of these would be sufficient for my 85 gallon 3 foot tank.
I have the regular 350 pumps. Can you use the cloud controller with those pumps?

So is this a new pump from the Maxspect Gyre 300 series? Or is this package the 300 pump with a cloud controller and adjustable cages. 🧐

Maybe it’s been updated since them? Seemed very easy and I had 0 issues with it. Imo does the job and easy to use

Love this pump but i hate the app..
I’m very interested in the pump but for the price, the app shouldn’t have issues. But, I’m use to it with the awful Kessil app.
How come? Seemed to work well so far.
