      Key word: “she”
Women are routinely given a free pass by the system, the fact that this trial is even happening in the first place is proof of that fact. This is a result of todays culture and the assumption that men are “guilty until proven innocent” when they are accused of violence towards women.

Every time I see JD's behaviour, I am more and more impressed. Coulda knocked me down with a feather when he stopped to greet the Court Reporter as he walked into the court - - that is the lady who becomes almost invisible to everyone, typing away through the whole of every hearing. It was painfully obvious to anyone why amber's lawyer just flipped her hand and said she is not objecting after all after she heard the beginning of the manager's answer , but this allows the questionning into the couple's demeaner open further down the road

FYI, the attorneys for AH are the DEFENSE, so they do not have to prove anything. So far, we've only seen the PLAINTIFF'S case, which means these witnesses testify in favor of the plaintiff JD & then AH's attorneys just cross examine.
Later, AH's attorneys will have an opportunity to call witnesses to testify for her, when the defense presents its case.
Most of what AH's attorneys are doing now is just meant to show that the witnesses may have personal interest in giving biased testimony, or they're not experts, etc. The only purpose of a cross examining attorney mentioning that a witness is paid by the other party is to show that they have a financial interest in testifying in favor of their boss. That's it.

Tara Roberts's testimonial was excellent. It gave us a great insight as to how life went on at Johnny Depp's Private island. We learned how the houses are installed and uninstalled according to the periods and visits that Johnny, his family, and his friends visit it.
We see how everything is made so that the properties and locations on it are in good condition and are not abandoned when Johnny and others are absent. And that there are people working daily on the island to maintain it in good condition allows a proper security against intruders or malevolent people.
And as we can see in this testimonial, Johnny is managing his team and crew in excellent salary and work conditions. Which shows how much he is a great boss and it explains why people continue working with him for many decades.
As to the situation with Amber, it is clear how the minute she appeared, that woman made the location not so much of a pleasant place for everyone, but rather her centre of the universe; where even though Johnny managed the place, she imposed her whims and fits there and allowed her parasite friends to be on the island. It is nice also that Tara spoke of the incident that happened between Paul, his son, and Amber. It confirms again what Johnny reported in his testimonial.
As for Amber's lawyer, well she shows how much she asks irrelevant questions and then tries to exploit incidents that occur by mentionning details while neglecting crucial elements that explain everything. I mean, using in Court an incident that Johnny was found lying on the ground, to claim that it is because of alcohol, while omitting that he had been sleeping on his hammock, that the hammock had overturned, that Johnny fell and was lying on the ground still asleep, and needed some proper help and health care treatment, that's really reaching low for an attorney. Good thing that Johnny's attorney settled this matter straight by asking Tara what happened and she explained everything. Personally, if I was a member of the jury, I would instantly see how Amber's attorneys are dishonest and unreliable.

I am an amputee with chronic pain, I have nothing to my name, a piece of land that I can't afford to build on, I live in a very old unsuitable house for my needs but i have my dog who loves me unconditionally. It may sound niave but on days that I get up and see the sun rising, birds singing, these are great days. It must be a tactic to sway the jurors perception.
      It shouldn't be allowed, imo.
Rotten used this type of questioning.
      It was confusing.
Almost like he was trying to make everyone slip up..

    Lawyer: “objection, hearsay.”
Judge: “sir, you asked the question.”
    Lawyer: “I rest my case.”
Judge: “sir we are conducting opening statements”
    Lawyer: “Sustained”

This woman is amazingly Disturbed, she took a mild-mannered man and tried to Gaslight him. The only backup she had where her freeloading friends who would have said anything she told them to, how any lawyer would take a case with the crappy evidence they had is beyond me.
