I enjoyed seeing your makeover Diane. Have you considered using rug tape on the rugs to keep them in place. Rug tape is a two sided tape which leaves no residue, doesn’t harm your floors and keeps rugs in place, so no trip hazards 👏🙂

My daughter is removing the carpet padding stapes and tack strips from the living room and Dining room Starting thursday - sunday.. Oak flooring underneath is in pretty good shape so far. I am permanently disabled and this will help with dander and dust easier to clean up. I am helping with the taping of the carpet pieces and tying up the trash bags of padding.
Wood tealight holders for the win! I don’t change out much of our decor anymore because I didn’t want to have to store stuff, especially for autumn because it’s so short here. It seemed less daunting than the decluttering I have been working on for a few weeks now. Hi Diane, it’s Spring in Australia, I can’t wait for daylight savings to start in October it gives us a longer day. I always do a declutter for the month and spring cleaning it feels so light and fresh. Not a fan of autumn and winter is dark at 5 pm. Love the autumnal entrance way.
