    Those look so sleek, modern, and nothing like “boring” excel! I feel like a design lightbulb went off in my head seeing how you combine shapes and gradients. I started playing around doing a mock up and my non-excel wife looked over and gave the highest compliment: “when did excel become cute?”
    Thank you so much for teaching and for inspiring!

    Do you have a tutorial on how you made the first chart?
    I wouldn't mind paying to learn how to do it!

    Hey Josh! Love your stuff. I was thinking, would it be possible to make a sunburst chart like this with cards but also with a filter for the cards? So you can filter through different sets of data shown on the sunburst

    • @exceldesign
      @exceldesign  Год назад

      It's possible but would probably be a bit difficult and would require the use of some custom VBA.

    Silly question but how did you make the background that dark blue/ grayish color? Can you do a tutorial with a fresh excel sheet from the start?

    • @exceldesign
      @exceldesign  Год назад +3

      It's not a silly question at all. There are two options:
      1) just select your cells and use a fill color (this is great but doesn't allow you to have a gradient)
      2) use the insert>shape function to add a rectangle and choose the gradient option for your fill color, you can manually set the rectangle to be as big as you want (100"x100" should be plenty)
      I'm working on a longer format video but might release those as a separate tutorial course. Thanks for asking though 😊

    Is the info in these beuatiful designed excel dynamic? Can I change the value of a table and it changes the graphics?

    • @exceldesign
      @exceldesign  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes most of the examples are dynamic. I've got a few other videos showing the full build process and they show how to structure your worksheets so that you can add new data and have it automatically update.
