this was the most important award of the night. i dont even listen to these guys, but with everything theyve gone through, they deserve this and so much more
Genuinely thought Johnathon was going to break down crying! That band has been through absolute hell since the crash and have struggled to get back on their feet so fucking kudo's too them for definite! They deserved the award and the dedication they received and i'm glad they decided too keep going.
I met the lead singer Vergil at a show in Portland OR and me and my friend got to talk to him for a few about their music and the band them self and he as well as the rest of the band are literally the nicest people ever they were in the middle of putting there band stuff up into the bus and stuff and were vary limited on time and rushing but the lead singer still went out of his way to come out and talk to us and stuff and my heart goes out to them ✌🏻️🙌🏻❤️
TGI, we fucking love you and we will never stop. With the tragedy that has struck, your shows will be on a whole other level. Keep swinging, not just for yourselves, or just for your fans, but for everyone and everything. WHAT YOU STAND FOR now is something greater.
I have a question about TGI. are they still injured from their accident? One of them had a cast on his leg amd it's been almost a year since their accident?
NathanDrums Yep, they're all still recuperating, learning how to do just normal things in life again. Only news is that the first show they have booked is Warped Tour 2017, but they still got a lot of mending to do between now and then.
+lifexlovexlivin yeah for sure. I knew their accident was bas but I didn't know it was THAT bad. Glad these guys won this award though, they definitely deserve it.
so much respect for the ghost inside. theyve come a long way since last year and the fans helped them pull through as well as the hospital and their families and friends
I heard they'll be on Warped 2017. I can't wait to see the boys back at it. They're all incredible musicians and I know their next album, however far away, is going to be jaw dropping.
I’m not even a fan of theirs and I’m sitting here tearing up. I remember first hearing about the incident and then actually seeing them at the awards with crutches and one of them with a prosthetic leg just made me go “Damn dude. They really went through a lot.” Much deserved award. Wonder how they’re doing now. Hoping they’re in a much better place and that they keep the music in their souls always.❤️❤️
I found The Ghost Inside years ago when I heard their first incarnation A Dying Dream on my Pandora Radio Stream. Then I found their then new album at the time "Fury of The Fallen ones" (which to me is a masterpiece of melodic metalcore) and they became my favorite band for a few years. I kinda lost track of them because I didn't really dig "Get What You Give" but I read on my feed they had gotten into a pretty bad accident. I didn't think much of it because you hear about bands wrecking vans and shit now and then. But not until I saw this video, with John on crutches, the other member with a cane and the worst of all the member with the prosthetic leg. It might not be all the same member from when I enjoyed them, but it's still sad to see. I hope the best for this band, that through their recovery that they become incredibly stronger than what they were previously and it shows in their new music through beauty. To quote Candace from Walls of Jericho "Without struggle, their is no strength."
i really love this band but i would have loved to see PVRIS win! edit: this speech made me want to cry tho! I forgot about the bus accident! They deserved this win
lul teddy You probably just don't get it. It was quiet and seemed off because he was throwing shots at the APMA's, Bryan Stars, and Austin Jones, so all the fans got butt hurt, and didn't laugh so it didn't make you laugh like it would have otherwise. Or at least that's what I assume. I thought it was hilarious how he bashes everyone and just does not give a fuck. As for the fan video, total cringe, but she looks like she's awkwardly having fun, but fun, so good on her. Glad she seems happy.
Jaylene Ismenia I feel like New Years Day would have probably still given their award to TGI if they had won. Nobody deserved this more than TGI (and I really like New Years Day.)
Chris giving a standing ovation and all the bands Giving their support is the sickest shit ever dude
"Life's swinging hard but i'm swinging harder"
Chris Motionless showing respect
Without a doubt the most emotional speech ever. Mad mad mad respect to The Ghost Inside!
Who else came here after seeing them play their first show since the accident
4:33 Chris Motionless giving them the respect they deserve :)
I think my favorite part is Chris Motionless( 6'2 giant) standing in his chair clapping.
Watching this after the release of Aftermath is surreal
I started crying when they got accepted they are a true inspiration and there fans and the band deserve that award 100%
this was the most important award of the night. i dont even listen to these guys, but with everything theyve gone through, they deserve this and so much more
Crying in the break room, that's just fucking great
I'll see you in the break room.
" -Or Jared Dines, however you want to pronounce it."
He kept the joke running :')

Jackson Diebolt Thanks for the tip, but I was purposely was changing the line due to the grammatical context that I was using it within.

This is how a grammy show should be!
I'm pretty sure things would be broken if TGI didn't win.

ALL I'M GOING TO SAY IS THAT NEW YEARS DAY DESERVED THIS. DON'T TELL ME THE ARMY OF HALF HEADS INSPIRED BY ASHLEY MEANS NOTHING.
I really hope you said that without watching the video or knowing why the ghost inside one
The fans and other bands raised over 200k for their medical bills after the accident, that's why they won.
Ignorant.
Wow fuck you 😂🖕
