Why INDIAN ROADS are NEVER SAFE

- In this live accident, I had a crash and realized why you are never safe on Indian roads in India. I crashed on a turn right outside my house because of a guy not following the traffic rules and riding on the wrong side. Apart from his obvious mistakes, there were a few things I could've done or not done voluntarily to avoid the accident. Here's the story of my accident on my Royal Enfield classic 350, telling how I ended up in this situation.

A bonus wouldn't have made justice to a video like this❤️
The video itself is a bonus. Hope y'all understand.
Jada lag gaya kya bhai
bonus me usko ek aad gaaliya hi bak deta...lekin wo banda bohot sahi tha...I think most of the time under similar circumstances, the victimizer would have blamed you saying random shit like "tu royal Enfield le ke tez chal hi kyu raha tha, teri galti, road khali thi to mai aa gya", but this guy accepted what he has done and was actually sorry for his actions.
You are right...
#Butterscotchgang
Yup
just the fact that you didn't blame the other party for the whole thing and reflected on what your fault was already makes you a better rider than around 65-70% of riders
But it was the activas fault! He was driving in the wrong side of the road!

Thank you! Means a lot
4:40 good thing about him is that he is apologizing and accepting his mistake, some people don't even apologize
Yep, I respect that
Because I remember some 'papa ki pari' on her scooty was riding on the wrong side and ended up crashing into my friend's bike, instead of apologising she started blaming my friend and also called the nearby traffic police, but luckily he had a go-pro recording the whole incident, so that saved him and the traffic police ended up charging the 'papa ki pari'
One more thing that he talk him maturely , otherwise there will be a fight
yep like papa ki pari's

Wow! The whole video is truly a lesson. Even while you were talking to the rider, another girl just made the same mistake in the blind corner - without a helmet too. But didn't face any consequence. She was just lucky. Amazing video. It will definitely make better riders.

As a two wheeler driver you also taught me a good lesson today. As much as we try to shift the blame on others we really need to reflect on ourselves. Self awareness is more important while riding a two wheeler or four wheeler for that matter. Drive safe everyone and God Bless.
Man this was a pure documentary 🔥
The editing, voice-over, video and the lesson you gave.
Nothing but respect to you for such content ❤️
Yes, Perfect 💯
I crashed just two days ago. it was my mistake entirely. I was halfway through a 250 km ride for the day and on a small state highway laced with roadbumps. I know there are roadbumps, I know cars ahead of me will slow down for them. But a moment of lack of concentration on the car that was stopping in front of me, I ended up breaking way too late, that combined with having just filled by tank to the max made my braking distance more than it should be and I swerved last second but my tyre scraped up against the rear bumper of the car. Tire marks on the car and a few scratches. I tried to plead my case, long ride, full tank, didnt see the bump, but I knew it was my mistake. The guy was with his family, wife and little kids. I felt absolutely horrible for having traumatized little kids with that. His wife was in a bit of state too. In the end the guy inspected the damages and just like you, decided not to go through with anything. I had my insurance papers out and ready for him. I really felt like shit. But he made me feel even worse when he just drove away without taking anything from me. The entire ride back home and quite an adventurous trip otherwise was left in a sad bitter mood for me. A great time to get your video in suggestions. It helped put things in perspective. I won't stop riding, for there's too much adventure in the world to miss out on, but I will try my best not to be .. insouciant.
This video made me realize that an accident can also be resolved without cussing or fighting. I was literally expecting a fight but instead, got a calm confrontation, that was unexpected but it was the right thing to do. Thanks for this video I sure learned a lot.
it was calm because ... the other guy was just a courier guy . he knew he is at fault and this biker is rich . so he played sorry card. Anurag's riding skill are any ways questionable lol. all bikers should be banned lol.
Lol all bikers should be banned? Only 1 in 12 Indians own a car and yet we have such traffic and pollution issues. Now imagine ramping up the traffic and pollution levels to 12 times, you are most probably a kid or ab adult so disconnected from reality lol. We should be banning cars on certain roads and encourage to ride motorbikes and bicycles for simple commute. Unless there are 3 people going somewhere together or need to carry a lot of stuff, using a car is just plain stupidity
@@Liberty55555 Most of all courier delivery guy accepted his mistake and stayed there..like he was expecting the biker will beat him and issue of giving money will be solved.. Anyone else would have ran from the side when a biker fell in front of him...
@@Liberty55555 really bro these bikers are really the problem here
@@Liberty55555So you just gonna Ignore that the courier guy was literally without helmet/insurance and stuff And riding in the wrong lane? Well done
This video was more of a documentary masterpiece, absolutely beautiful. I admire your ability to acknowledge exactly what you did wrong and your forgiveness for the other person that was in the wrong lane, as for him he also acknowledged what he did wrong.
I sincerely hope you get those dings and scratches fixed on your bike, and I wish you safe rides brother.

Finally a RUclips channel that is promoting road safety and knowledge. Here in the Philippines we have similar road situations like India. Keep up with this channel. Loving your RE classic 350 planning to buy a Himalayan soon. Keep safe and ride safe.
This does not promote road safety because he allows the perpetrator to go with no consequences.
@@Daniel-nt5ghThis promotes Road Safety because he described in details about his experience and emphasized why it's important to be careful on road, as there may possibly be more severe consequences. ROAD SAFETY.
@@haddes_yolo No he doesn't, he should have called the cops. it is like saying that you fight murders by telling the murderer how bad it is to kill people and then letting him go and then showing the rest of the world how nice you are because letting him go.

Calmest person I've seen in a situation like this. Hats off.. you taught a lot in just a video.
I’m surprised how calm he is and let go that kid
2:28 he sound like angry and calm at the same time when talking 😶
You know that someone is really pissed off when he is calm after a major incident.
9:18, that line is gonna stick with me. Thank you for sharing this experience, I think all those who would make a effort of learning from it, will become better and safer riders than they previously were.
This video should be adopted by the government to spread awareness. You did a great job.
My riding instructor for my license said "There are two types of motorcycle riders, those who have had an accident, and those who are about to", and that the name of the game is to never get complacent no matter how long you've been riding accident free. Know what to do, and be prepared for it.
Being from Delhi this is such a common traffic thing / occurrence, to the point that if such things don't happen it feels weird now.... but props to this guy for taking responsibility for his actions the way he did, subscribed.
+@Ashwin Pai
Actually, this $h!t is very common all over India. The entire driver's licencing process in India is farcical joke. Just because many states in India have now "computerised" the process of applying for a driver's licence does NOT in any manner mean that it has become more stringent.
Further, at 4:57 notice that one more scooter (white colour) is driven on the wrong side of the road, albeit in the opposite direction.
Wow what a contrast to all the shorts of bikes cursing and getting violent against people causing accidents.
I always were a advocate for defensive riding, but the way you explained it just made it so obvious or make more sence. I hope more riders see this video.
I needed this reminder. I take the same route to work every day during rush hour, with lane splitting allowed, and I noticed I got very very confident at it. It gets to be a routine where you rely on the fact that it has gone right the last 900+ days, so you get too confident at making certain moves.
Thank you.

Huge respect for you man. First time I'm watching one of your videos and it's good to know that people with healthy mindsets exist. Even though most of the things mentioned were known factors, it's always worth being reminded. Thank you for the video.
@5:27 Another guy just drove on the wrong side as this guy. People like them will never learn unless they met with the same situation as guy like this. Respect for you!
Just came across this video out of nowhere and I don't regret staying for entire time. This is the best video I have ever watched about road safety as a Biker. Kudos to you and glad to see you in good condition after the crash. We always tend to ignore those little things about our bikes from our side mirrors to our oil change routines. As a license holder it is our responsibility to follow and be aware of the situations around us as we can never be too careful and one slight mistake can result in unexpected. Sometimes youtube recommendations does an good job. Take care. Happy riding. -From a fellow rider on mumbai streets.

This is called the real motorvlogging and professionalism in the carrier, hats off ❤😊
Great self resilience in controlling your anger during the situation. I like the noble feature of letting the other person go, very few have it in them to do so. Yes, ABS is a must in India. There's no two ways about it. I am not scared of how fast young folks ride on their scooters like Activa. They really cross 80kmp without ABS, which is so so risky. I have myself fallen twice on my scooter and from that day onwards I do not go above 40 on it. Still a high speed, but always keep an eye out of the road and by default assuming that others riding on the road do not have riding sense at all 😂
A Big thumbs-up and Thanks for adding a new POV to my ride n drive .... God Bless You @Anurag

one of the best videos i ever saw on youtube
Wrong way and lane changing is the biggest problem in Indian road
Nice video. I can vouch that the traffic situation is as terrible in Vietnam. People honk all the time when they are impatient, pass in the opposite lane, drive in the opposite direction on the right side of the road (We drive on the right in Vietnam), jump red lights at 3s, cross the street where it's convenient for them even when there's no pedestrian 😮💨.
In our central road earlier very rarely bikers used to drive in wrong and only in emergency but now you can see cars casually just driving in wrong and you have to brake hard while there is a fully loaded coming behind you 😢
just had a similar crash yesterday evening, watching this video with pain in my knee and bruises on my foot.

2. Highlighted the importance of abs.
3. Taught us how to stay calm under duress.
what an amazing value-adding video, this is what the creators of RUclips would have thought of as its real use case when they made this platform.
Did not teach
1) Reduce your ego and buy a lightweight bike
2) Heavyweight bikes skid when suddenly brake applied.
3) Bullet is a white Elephant.
4) This accident would not happen if he was on 100cc bikes.
5) Bullet is extremely heavy bike for city ride.
6) Bullet poses the risk of breaking bones of driver and pillion if it falls on them.
7) Bullet ek bekaar dhug dhug gaadi hain which vibrates a lot.
8) Bullet is such a sick bike that except for LARGE EGO otherwise it is wastage of so much metal to burn fuel.
9) Bullet parts and maintenance is the costliest for its pathetic mileage and low grade driving experience.
10) This was a well cooked incident and excellent acting skills.

He should have been dismissed or salary cut. Great way to realise especially for that guy who was not even listening to him
This is how everyone should handle the situation instead of just shouting and abusing each other...
Thank you!
@@AnuragSalgaonkar That was a mistake, it is what makes people driving like that again and again.
I don't believe any company who have to be insured charges any money to the employee. If the insurance company would knew that, they would be suing worker's company for having a profit over an insurance claim.
But honestly I just don't believe the scooter guy. He even refuses to say his company name or to show any proof of insurance which his company should have provided him.
I thinks he is lying to make the victim of his idiocy feel sorry for a guy who could have killed him.
3:00 happy anurag turns into bully anurag. This is anurag's villain arc. Ab sorry nhi chalega, ab insurance dikhana padega.
