    Oh no.
    I am not sure what went wrong. That is the correct wiring. It took a minute you say? Maybe the coil went bad or some other failure. Does it still start and stop?

    Is there a fuel pump? I'm thinking about wiring a 12v fuel pump to my Predator 420 so I can use a larger tank that sits a little farther from the engine, but I'm not sure how to wire it so the pump turns on when I turn the key to the ON position. Can you help?

      Hi, this Predator 420 in my tractor has the stock fuel tank that sits on top the engine and is gravity fed, no fuel pump.
      You could probably wire your fuel pump to the accessory terminal on the Stens starter switch. It will turn the pump on when you start the engine and keep it on until you shut the engine off.

    I connected "B" to Battery, "S" to solenoid, "G" to negative cable, "M" to coil. I ran Brown wire to battery to charge. Within 1 minute smoke cam from coil area. I wonder if you have any idea what went wrong.

    Hey bud what about the yellow wire coming out of the block I believe it's for the oil what did you do with that

      Didn't touch the yellow wire, left it alone.

    There's one wire from the charge coil. Two coils give you two, and that you run into the regulator. Do with one wire, I figure your using ground to the other side of the AC side of the regulator. Am I close here?

      My charge coil wire runs out of my block and is wired to a rectifier/regulator. The rectifier is grounded to the block, and the charge feed runs through my voltmeter, through a "one way" fuse and to the battery. All my wires are in a sleeve and not easily accessible any longer to see which rectifier wire colors are running where .

    Where is the charging wire? What color, anyone know? Is that the one used to kill the engine when going to ground?

      Let me think.....it's been a minute. The black wire coming from under the fuel tank is used to kill the engine. I believe there was a brown wire from the engine block that runs from the single charging coil under the flywheel. I will have to double check when I get back home.

    how did you mount the motor to the frame i have the same motor and tractor

    • @oldvedub1
      @oldvedub1  11 месяцев назад +1

      There are four bolts up at the front of the frame tubes that hold the front axle assembly on. The very front set hold the hood hinge as well. The set behind those that hold the hood hinge, I removed and inserted thread all with lock tight. I slipped the motor over those thread all bolts and used that location as my front motor mounts and then drilled two new holes for the rear motor mounts. One of my other tractor videos shows the 2 new holes i drilled. That put the motor in a perfect spot for the pulley and belts to line up.

      Oh, and I made shims to sit under the rear area of the engine so it sat perfectly level. I just used some 3/4" steel pipe and slid the pipe shims under the motor before bolting it down.
