Not a fan of either team but how JR cost the Cavs and LeBron after scoring 51 was just a travesty. Not saying the outcome would be different because the Warriors were the better team, but team morality will always be so important for an exciting series
Do you know what's the worst feeling? It's the one where you know you had your own fate in your hands and you made the worst possible mistake while having the advantage. (jr smith in game 1 of the 2018 finals). In that game Lebron scored 51 points and he was even playing against his own team. then the Warriors crushed them 4-0, such a helplessness felling. But that first game was devastating for teir confidence
that's how strong Lebron was to carry this team that cant even defense to the final and he could have won this game also without the rigged ref and Jr. performance
Okay let's analyze a short breakdown on Why LeBron doesn't take the last shot here .. It's 10 seconds left. When you read the Defense they are boxing LeBron and playing him more Like a zone or box and 1 , that's why u see george hill cross behind draymon which cause klay to make a decision.. Do I give up an Easy bucket or foul? If u have any Basketball IQ , instinct would tell u to foul on the floor , which klay did . But Cavs are in the bonus . Which sends G. Hill to the line. Now some may say it's Basketball IQ to foul Hill there and force him to the line instead of Give LeBron a chance to shoot . Which wouldn't be smart considering the fact that if you KNOW as a defender that the opposing team is in the bonus you know to NEVER foul in that situation especially being that you are up 1. If anything you send a double to LeBron on or off the dribble or play straight up , meaning man to man . Having said that LeBrons decision too pass First in that situation was actually the best first look with 10 seconds left to analyze the Defense and 5 seconds to make a decision. Pass , shoot , or dribble. (Aka Triple threat) So Basically, this actually was the best first option because if Hill makes those 2 free throws or makes that Layup without klay fouling . It puts the Warriors in a very tough spot to force a shot because they only had one time out as well and also cuz of the momentum shift .The Difference between Bron and most Players Is he trusts his teammates , which could sometimes back fire like this one . But Hey then again , sometimes there's luck that comes with skill the game of basketball.
Everyone is talking about the great game LeBron had justifiably but if you go back and look at the entire playoff run he had this season, you'll probably come to the same conclusion I did about it being the single greatest postseason run performance of all time. Multiple buzzer beaters, endless 40 and 50 point games, triple doubles, some huge iconic plays, etc. I'm so mad that Hill missed the free throw and JR lost his mind. Had the Cavs closed this out we would have seen more LeBron greatness. After this game LeBron was so mad he punched something and broke his hand. You could tell he wasn't the same the rest of the series. The result wouldn't have mattered, as you saw in OT when the Warriors are actually playing their best ball it doesn't matter what LeBron does. That was the greatest team of all time, not even the GOAT can take them boys by himself. I would have loved to see the 2020 LeBron championship Lakers vs this Warriors team. Don't get wrong I think the Warriors still win like they would vs any other team in history but LeBron and AD that year were really special...woulda been so much fun to watch. Tbh if you Trade Draymond for LeBron and put Hakeem Olajuwon at center then that may be the greatest possible team to assemble. Curry, Thompson, Durant, LeBron, Hakeem... surround LeBron with the best shooters of all time and a dominant Hakeem down low? What other 5 players could you possibly assemble to beat that? I'm genuinely asking if you have a good thought.
The way my stomach dropped when JR happened.....after Bron's masterpiece to steal this first game. Prob wouldve still lost....but what a series we'd have had on our hands...
What made this Finals loss painful: 1. The refs not calling the foul properly 2. George Hill missing the free throw 3. J.R. Smith running off with the ball instead of going for the layup
LeBron really didn't react that much. He didn't say anything to JR about it. He just turned his head and walked to the bench. I think he was definitely deflated because of what JR did, but it's best to not say anything than to speak out of frustration.
8:40 Lebron is the tallest person on the floor but is upset because JR Smith didn't defend him so that he can get jayed instead of him. And why are folks so wicked.. JR played his heart out and needed to.. but in the end, no one protected himself from himself.. not even Lebron who should know how he gets during clutch moments. Too much responsibility and he chokes.. just give him the option to shoot and he is fine.. JR wasnt even suppose to get that rebound.. their was holding on both sides that the ball ended up in JR hands.. and the game was tied. No harm, no foul.. lmao, blame Hill for missing the easiest shot to take the lead and force the pressure back on GSW to win that game..

(jr smith in game 1 of the 2018 finals). In that game Lebron scored 51 points and he was even playing against his own team.
then the Warriors crushed them 4-0, such a helplessness felling. But that first game was devastating for teir confidence
LeBron deserved a win, but JR did not.
The cavs have all kinds of issues rotating on defense. its a wonder they ever made it to the finals. if they had that issue through out
that's how strong Lebron was to carry this team that cant even defense to the final and he could have won this game also without the rigged ref and Jr. performance
Every talks about JRs blunder but how was that not a charge on Durant
Refs, warriors and jr vs Lebron t
@@Ma1q444 this team afraid of the GOAT himself curry thatss why the loss, no need to boame the refere, the referee just doing his job, lol
8 consecutive finals is just crazy.
I miss durant and the warriors🥲
(Aka Triple threat)
So Basically, this actually was the best first option because if Hill makes those 2 free throws or makes that Layup without klay fouling .
Warriors that are dominant dangerous and dangerous
What made this Finals loss painful:
1. The refs not calling the foul properly
2. George Hill missing the free throw
3. J.R. Smith running off with the ball instead of going for the layup
18:21 wow Jr wow
Everyone else in the world knew the score but him how
@@Whatevercomestomindpodcast even if jr smith passed it they had a high chance of not making the shot
Divya Roy And if JR woulda shot it then KD woulda blocked it easily
I think the way Lebron handled JR's mistake negatively affected the team in overtime. He should've kept his frustration in.
Been to the finals 4 times with practically the same core. Yet doesn’t know the score.. A SHOOTING GUARD at that. Naw bruh, an G.hill been trash. 🗣 The cavs were trash anyway. Bron an whatever kevin love was at the time showed up
I feel like this secretly J.R and he pulling a kd but on RUclips
the real most important game that series. Steph was so clutch in the 4th.
he should've won finals mvp, he was much better than KD overall in this series. Steph should really have 3 FMVPs...bunch of stupid journalists who suck Nike dong.
9:22 Stephen Curry hits the buzzer beater end of the 2nd quarter!
Any video that doesn't detail the final seconds of regulation isn't really highlighting game 1
Agreed
Any profile photo that doesn't actually show your face isn't really a profile photo.
Eibot Horus any comment that copies another comment to mock another comment, isn’t really a comment... including this comment.
Such a memorable game
If u watching in 2020 u a goat
A great game with "controversy" at the end of the game with JR's mental blunder
3:38 that camera angle makes the shot look special
Lebron and Curry 😊
It's a miracle the cavs even came here. Going up against GSW and the snake joining them.
@@adenmartinez434 In your reasoning he should only play with shitty players? Because? Everyone should always aspire to put themselves in the best position possible to win a chip. Once in a lifetime players always get a lot of more heat than they deserve. You're a prime example of that. Unfounded hate towards someone who just plays ball and at one of the best levels we have ever seen. Hope it makes you feel better about your little pathetic life.
Luv u all gsw
Who else is watching when the lebron and jr back in the finals?
How did t-lue not call their last time out I’ll never know
I remember seeing the look on George Hills face. I'm thinking... "Oh god, he's gonna miss"
GSW -2018 all stars - Curry, Klay, Green, KD
Cavs 2018 allstars - LBJ, Love
if this Cavs team had Kyrie, they would've won this game
that overturn on Bron drawing charge on KD is criminal rigging shit
People blamed cav for losing said because of their defense. How can you guard someone who shoot like steph curry? If you double team him, how about klay thompson and KD? Even the 1998 bull would have a hard time with this warrior.
An INCREDIBLE game by LeBron and Playoffs but did ya'll see that walk in slow motion @ 3:33 ??? lmbo
Cavs had a time-out they coulda used it when he got the rebound
Exactly. Ty Lue, LeBron, somebody. As soon as you see JR starting to to something dumb, call the TO.
@@corykarhoff5941 I mean, Jr. was one of the strong scoring point in cavs, he could easily take a shot if he was not drunk. So why call TO when the one can score took the ball?
Best game of this series
Wesley Chase fr the rest were just like a squash match
Crazy how despite putting up 51, LeBron still lost. Winning that could have shifted the momentum and he may have 5 tittles, keeping him in the GOAT conversation
17:05 when everything changed..
Interesting question, does this cavs team beat the rockets if they beat golden state in game 7?
Jameson Evers no
Big 3 your probably right, but Cleveland wouldve had a better chance vs Houston then golden state, if I remember right Cleveland either split with Houston or won both against Houston that year
2020 anyone? The Most Humilating Game # 1Ever #JRChocker Smith.
"Grueling 7 game series against the Rockets."
What? That series was a cakewalk for the Warriors.
This has to be the game curry was talking about.
Curry And Durant is osome
I wonder how this series would of played out if the Cavs won game 1.
warriors in 5
Still don’t understand why lebron didn’t attack the miss match on curry but instead went to George hill ?
If the Cavs had AD instead of Love this wouldve been a more fair series
People forget these two teams played in the finals 4 STRAIGHT YEARS!
fr its crazy these two teams were monsters in the post season (warriors regular season too)
completely got robbed of stealing game 1 at oracle..LeBron was on a mission that year man if game 1 went our way I think it would’ve been a much closer series
If we being honest cavs win in 7 without the refs
I just peep 2 years later at the end of regulation the commentator says a fail called on Tristan Thompson on George hill wtf they both played on the cavs dummy
3-1...IN FINALS WINS.
4-1, dont forget '75.
@@raider8sox he means against bron
although i would argue this was lebron's best playoff run in terms of scoring, his major flaw was his inconsistent defense
Inconsistent is a mild word, nonexistent is a better fit
Everyone blames JR...or George hill... But what about the refs ?! Lebron playing against GS, Cavs, and refs...Lebron against the 🌎😂
GSW are like the Infinity Gauntlet and KD is the missing stone also Jordan never faced a team the loaded give Bron his credit
I keep watching it just to see LeQueen cry ......
LOL
lebron James loser baby james
watch that karma hater.
Ay bitch first of all there is fuckin kd draymond curry and klay kn the fuckin team the second beat player on the cavs is jr fuckin Smith what tf was Lebrun supposed to do you fuckin curry fan boy get a fuckin job
Great game from KD
LeBron VS Golden state warriors
Arguably 3 of the greatest shooters in NBA history on one team is juust too much fire power lol It took lebron to drop 51 in order for them to have a chance lol there was no way they were winning this series wether JR screwed up or not tbh having KD was just unfair on top of a 73 win team
I’m pretty sure George hill's free throw wasn’t missed on purpose because it was tied with 4 seconds left. Why would Cavs team will miss it on purpose??? I think it was George hill fault also for not making the free throw shot..correct me if I'm wrong
no shit
Love this
Wait how is that not a charge lol
Look at the defense on 7:18 on curry
Jr is high warriors forever🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀
Lbj vs gsw and cavs
