I have been to most of the places mentioned - the only difference being that we were not sponsored in any way. It seems that today's travellers cannot go anywhere off the beaten track without being paid to do so.
Firstly, in relation to this video, we stayed at a mate of mines place so I certainly wasn’t ‘paid’ in any way for the story I told or the experiences I shared. But let’s move onto what is really bothering you - people being paid to overland. When you are on your trip, do you document your experiences? I often pop away for a weekend camp and that is a genuine break for me because I don’t take my gear & I am under zero pressure to film anything - I love it because its proper downtime for me. Having said that, it doesn’t mean I don’t love my 32 day epic roadtrips - they are amazing and I get to meet incredible people, share stories and hopefully inspire or encourage other people to do the same or visit the places we went. Now I would love to be absolutely loaded so that I could just travel, but I am not and that’s why I have partners who make that possible for me. In no way, shape or form do they have any influence in what I say or the story I tell - that’s a non negotiable for me. I don’t watch what other people do on RUclips - not interested really. Broadcasting has been my career for 25 years, it’s what I do, it’s what I love - the overlanding is another extension of that! I may only be on the road for 32 days but these adventures I undertake, take up 6 months of my life - I don’t make money from this, I simply cover my hard costs while juggling my other production projects. Perhaps this will help you understand things a little differently…
Its actually a really well appointed spot - not over the top - just what you need. But the setting is so good...was a little frustrated with the village though - so many of the spots closed during the week, only opening for the weekend trade which isn't cool.
On our way to Hogsback next week and looking forward to the beauty you showed us with this great vlog!
That’s so cool Candice - it’s a really special town with so much to do!
Here is another video from 2021…

Nice Marius.....am hoping you do more videos of your adventures.
Thanks Lwando
Did you get a chance to watch the original series? There are 13 episodes from my first overlanding experience - 5500km in 30 days

Can we expect a season II with the new D'Max?
Unfortunately not - as it turned out, Isuzu wasn't with me for the long run after all. Different brand positioning for them it would seem
I think you need a GWM PSeries…I will be in contact! Would love to be able to help.
I had Isuzu as my partner on my first adventure series but sadly their brand positioning seems to have changed 😊
