If I select Python3 in the bin folder and delete the terminal I am not in the virtual environment. Also my bin folder just has two obejects python and python 3. Both are about 5 mb big.
This is the only video I found that shows you step by step how to go all the way to cresting and using a python file in vs code!!

i think its because you havent installed the python virtual environment, to do that just type sudo apt install python3-pip
