Enjoyed the video and subscribed. This came up on my feed because I’ve been watching so many QK75N builds. Mine just came yesterday, went with the silver for my LOTR elvish keycaps. Just waiting on the switches.
Ouch. That price jump without a huge difference of features, just doesn't make sense in my opinion. I have went back and forth between mx speed silvers and thevbox whites that come in the retro mechanical keyboard. I havent figured out which one i like more yet.
just says donglepod75 cuz its a 75% and that little spot is a "pod" for the dongle. Thats the best ive gotten out of it. A lot ofnpeople complained ab this design and qk changed it up for their qk65 r2 which was an amazing decision
Honestly I still like the 8bitdo version still better. I couldn’t care less about the sound. If it sounds good, then that’s just an added bonus. What I love about it are the retro bobs and the four programmable buttons that it has. I also love how easy it is to program said buttons.
@@TrashBuilds hardest part is to find the spring you like, since weight and length are factors. Tx springs arr my personal rec. So are tx films, mostly due to how easy they are
Perhaps my mics or recording setup isn't good enough. I was thinking that the sound was a bit off while recording but I don't have audiophile headphones to be able to tell for sure.

I see. That's a weird choice to make in the first place but it's a good thing they got rid of it then
@@TrashBuilds Yep! They have a much better design now, similar to what it is but just matching the badge. No longer saying donglepod...

good job on the video production!
Thanks!

Nice vid mate
you spoke so fast in the beginning i thought i had 2 x speed on lol
just got the qk75 and now i kinda regret it cause the qk75N is way better.
same
Just got this one recently. Which foam did you use for the first demo?
I dont think the jump from 8bitdo to QK75 is worth it, especially on the price, price-to-performance upgrade, and availability criteria.
Alu plates goes hard. Especially with mx blacks. But you have to spring swap them, film if you want
I've never actually filmed a switch... Or spring swapped. Maybe when I have an afternoon to spare one day I'll give it a go

Even the linear build sounds a bit hollow to my ears 😮

For that price difference l'll stick the the 8bitdo thanks.
If you need to completely mod a keyboard just to suit oyur prefernces then just assemble one and skip wasting money on such needless mods.
