Erik the Slayer actually cannot die, he was made by Bethesda to be an homage to an elder scrolls fan who unfortunately passed away before Skyrims release. He was the first to get to playtest skyrim outside of Bethesda staff!
@@Watcherobot He is set to essential by default, unless you change essential npcs he should be immortal. They did that specifically to memorialize him as he died from cancer 6 months before official release, unless they changed that on AE, but in Oldrim he was essential
@@bradeng367 I play on PS4 so I can't disable the essential status. He died defending Whiterun in my character's final act before he retired. He died making his hold proud.
Hmmm. I'm not sure that's true about him being invincible. I don't recall seeing him on the essential npc list. What's your source? But it was nice to have him as a homage to a fan 😊. That I've heard from multiple sources
Hey, i know I’m a little late, but if you ever wanted to do a hunter re-run it might be cool to do it as a werewolf. Not based as a werewolf, though, if you get my meaning - a hunter that just happens to be a werewolf, rather than a werewolf who is a hunter. It would fit the theme and Hircine’s sphere of influence really well.
Heyyyy would you be at all interested in letting me write subtitles for your channel? I love your vids and have been looking for opportunities to transcribe in my free time while I work on an English degree. No need to say yes, just thought I’d check in case you are interested. Keep doing what you’re doing, your videos are greatly entertaining
Oh for my last six in MtG and lost my favorite bow somewhere in the swamps today. Was headed to bed and decided to flip on the tube. Day saved! SO glad to see you!
Dude your videos are the one piece of entertainment keeping me sane at the moment. Your imagination is admirable, calming videos with the effect of a smooth voice radio podcast to play Skyrim too. I find it hard to play video games now because I have lost much of my imagination and find it difficult to get into something without any real world benefits or implications. But your videos are helping me enjoy this great game like I used to. Please don't stop man it's really been giving me something to help escape the stresses of the real world. It might get hard but in 2-3 years es6 will hopefully come out and give you a whole new setting and list of characters so we get more good stories and adventures to watch. Thank you sir
I was watching the mining series and was looking at all the iron ore in that series. Maybe make a series on a transmutation wizard turning iron ore into silver and gold ore. Life as king Midas
If you do like the more saturated colors, there's a very lightweight mod called "Display Enhancements" that will allow you to tweak saturation as well as brightness and contrast. I always bump up my saturation for those vivid colors; Skyrim feels too washed out, especially compared to Oblivion. As others have mentioned, Erik is essential and can't die. It might be a good idea to snag him, as there are some very nasty beings you'll be facing soon. Though, to be honest, I'm not sure your companions can follow you on certain parts of this journey... (I usually travel alone, so I don't know for certain.) Best of luck with the crashing/corruption issue!
You should do the apocalypse mod for a series where Skyrim is completely destroyed. Life as a survivor or something You could also do: Life as a Paladin, life as a vampire hunter, life as a rogue, life as a criminal...
I quite enjoy these true roleplay games, something I never managed to do, i'd always lose track and end up with a mixed character but not what I intended to play. If you're not reading the journals could you please leave them open for 1-2 seconds so I can pause and read the backstory? With the mythic dawn journal that was really tricky cause you just skipped the last two pages
The true enemy of every Skyrim play through I do. Not Alduin and the Dragons. Not Vampires wanting to blow up the sun. Not Dragon Cultists of Miraak or the Mythic Dawn. ... freakin' bears. Though I do appreciate that the bears are not a level scaled enemy. They are what they are. So while they're basically the meme people say Cliffracers were (and never were to me) of chasing people from miles away and finding yourself swarmed by them (particularly in the Rift and Winterhold I found), and you definitely want to try to find them ahead of time and avoid them, or remember where their fixed spawns were and go VERY wide around/sneak past... ... I did like that eventually I'd hit like level 60 and just say "Time for some new bearskin rugs..." and wade in with little worries. Just I also seldom get to that level in my runs. And with Survivor Injury/Death mods (at least one I used to run before it threw a fit at me)... I lost so, so, so many followers to Skyrim bears. Sure the Giants and Mammoths might technically be more difficult. But they at least leave you alone unless you actively poke them. The bears have zero chill.
Though not sure how viable it could be with mods out there and such. Odd idea hitting me with that bear battle and its location on a burial mound. Something like "Skyrim: Life as an Academic". You're not necessarily a knight or ranger or even just a humble woodsman. But you're someone there from the Imperial College of History (which I vaguely remember being mentioned in books as a thing in game). Could be a good excuse to kind of tour around. As you're not interested per se in the Civil War or Dragons or Mercenary work, etc. But instead something where you can kind of indulge in the environment or even things that are just oddly curious from base game and various mods. Like some of the hidden somewhat out of the way religious altars from Wintersun. The mysteries of the Midden in the College of Winterhold. Delving into the Labyrinthian. The Clay Mask and its effects. Behavior of the Draugr. Etc. Maybe I'm crazy but I could see some hooks for it, and playing something of a non-traditional adventurer archetype. Maybe go all full Indiana Jones (where if it was up to him he rather sneak in and out without a fight, but throwing hands or shooting someone with a crossbow if caught). Maybe have something where you only use particular mercenary/bodyguard followers? I think you could make it work well.

Are you ever going to level up? This episode is peak Oblivion nostalgia.
The long episodes are the best, epic stuff my good sir.
Yay! I've been anxiously awaiting the next installment to this series, and have repeatedly watched the entire playlist.
Love this man, keep it up!

It would really show his appreciation for his subscribers.
sounds like a good idea
Do what you need in skyrim, and get the return to Bruma mod. Ranger maybe gets summoned to help an important person in Bruma.
Next time in whiteru, dont forget to visit the temple of kynareth.. sure Kynareth would be pleased with the visit and maybe a donation.
Sorry to hear about all the issues, hopefully the next episode doesn't encounter so many bugs!
I'm watching this video one day before school starts, it's the only good thing in this week
I've been enjoying the serries as I have some of the more laid back ones.
Appreciate you listing the mods needed.

👏
the corruption might be caused from the sheer amounts of mods. May i suggest sorting through and overhauling them?
Could be, I use loot and always have my load order sorted. Going to get a newer PC soon so will install everything from scratch anyway :)

What is the mod you use for the oblivion crisis?
It's called The Cause, it's part of the CC content
