Forgive my language, because I don't know how else to put this into words--it sounds very "Japanese"(rather than Irish)-- in fact it almost founds like it is being played be a shakuhachi (I think that's what it's called). And that is a compliment! it's gorgeous the different sounds you are able to produce. Awesome interpretation!!!!
Thank you for watching. I used the score "rewritten version ". Please search "In Ireland, Hamilton Harty - Chris Norman (Wooden Flute) & Camerata Bariloche"
Personally just found this video and while I admire his skill and the work that must have gone into this performance, this is a terrible interpretation of an already amazing piece of flute solo music. I have played this piece and he has changed so many of the parts that add the flare to the original piece that he may as well change the name completely because this is NOT "In Ireland" by Hamilton Harty. :/
Amazing interpretation of this picece....takes a while to get used to it but i throughly loved every second of it.
SUCH A GOOD INTERPRETATION!!
