I had a 1966 minx series 5 in 1977 .It had 63000 miles on it and not a spot of rust they're built like a tank a very solid motor car.

You were lucky -- was that in the UK? They were excellent cars, much like their cousins the Gazelles and Super Minxes but unfortunately they did suffer from rust much like other contemporary offerings. I've never owned or seen a Minx without a history of rust on the sills or inner arches.

@@sawleyram7405 yes it was in the UK in Kent to be exact . I paid £225.00 for it .My previous car which was also my first was a 1959 Worsley 1500 and that was full of rust . I always wanted a Humber sceptre but never could afford one.

@@Imacomingtoo Wow my neighbour (now deceased) had a clear out of his garage and garden last summer and they took the long-standing Wolseley 1500 (1964 B suffix) from his driveway. After five years of standing, it rolled away freely after a few taps on the brake drums -- it was of course rusted around the rear arches. It was sold on for about £800 and has since been fully restored!
The Humber Sceptre is very nice. The Super Snipe is my luxury car of choice in dream land.
