as a fan of team Japan, I 100% agree with you, the team itself compared to other world class teams they have absolutely won nothing, besides in 1972 which they won gold, but thats a completely different story. Just in general tho as a team, without comparing to other nations success, they reached the finals round for the first time in like 29 years which is something they "achieved". And also just in general the players themselves have left an impression around the volleyball fan base. Ishikawa and Yuji have won nominations into the VNL all star team, and I mean Ishikawa didn't win but he and his team in the italian league took down a #1 seed as an 8th seed and moved themselves into the semifinals in the playoffs. Disregarding the teams success, I just think the players themselves have succeeded in their own respective areas.
They successfully won nothing, lol. Trolling aside. It is not unreasonable to say that they are successful volleyball players who can go play in European teams(at least Ishikawa). That's definitely an achievement. When it comes to team Japan as a whole, I totally agree with you. They get slapped in every tournament, and yet the loser weebs act like they're a top team.
I think kazemi has been elbowed by the two opposites Amin and hajipour already. Last vnl I think he was in week 1 and amin started instead of him but this 2023 he’s not in the line up for week 1 and 2 idk about week 3
