Taking music from the two big FF games this expansion got its second half thematic inspiration from and mixing them into a completely new song is genius.
@@FrostJaeger FFIX, which is obvious if you've played it. And then FF Type-0, which is where all the stuff about Memories and stuff comes from. The songs referenced in this dungeon track are the Iifa Tree's theme from FFIX and then Vermillion Fire from Type-0.
Know the dungeon isnt a fav by most but i just loved the weird unsettling sensation i got, that got deeper as I progressed through it, just seeing all those souls being treated like processed goods was weirdly haunting
Oh yes, the famous two-mob pulling stuck-in-place ranged damage-dealing sentry son of a gun. Despite not being my favorite dungeon, this theme absolutely blasts my ears!
The mecha adamantoise bugs me less than the two robot room. Just beating the hell out of two small, unimpressive targets. Not to mention they jump you right after the previous pull, something square threw in just to mess with Pictomancer
Souls are also separated from most of their memories in a normal death, the difference is that this method ensures that the souls will not have any residual memories.

To me, it makes me think of something of a mix of Young Xehanort’s battle theme, plus the vocals give me big FFXV vibes. So yeah, definitely some Yoko Shimomura influences here
The last area is reminding a lot of people of Twilight Town from Kingdom Hearts, me included. It almost feel nostalgic when they use the same instruments like in KH!
My fc ran this. When the robo tortoise emerged we were all yelling, to simplify, 'WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT' Banger of a track. I also love your hotbar set up!

you can ask your healer to repose or your caster to hypnotise, you cant stun or interrupt it but its cast can be stopped with sleep
