Guys the turtle is not immune to sleep. Casters can sleep him when he does the aoe so the devs FINALLY put some of old role skills to good use
Which, ironically, is around the same time that you'll have 36 hotbar spots filled (which is two xbars worth of buttons on a controller) and will be looking to finally remove that sleep button to make room for your level 100 skill. At least for scholar.
Now they just need to remember that scathe exists 😂
The turtle can gain immunity to sleep when you cast it too many times, like with most status effects in this game. You can cast it three times before it gains immunity.
@@ahkaishecheyhi If you haven't killed it in the span of three or four Stomps, you've got a DPS problem.
@@IPWNEDSASUKEANDKIRAScathe has niche use as Black Mage’s only instant cast spell not tied to a proc. I used to use it to pull mobs I was farming in Bozja
This and the final dungeon/final boss themes are the absolute best

you can ask your healer to repose or your caster to hypnotise, you cant stun or interrupt it but its cast can be stopped with sleep

True, the trash packs are weirdly placed, especially that Turtle at the end is really unnecessary. Sick music though!

The mecha adamantoise bugs me less than the two robot room. Just beating the hell out of two small, unimpressive targets. Not to mention they jump you right after the previous pull, something square threw in just to mess with Pictomancer
Gotta love the Dawntrail dungeons building on the zone BGM.
Oh yes, the famous two-mob pulling stuck-in-place ranged damage-dealing sentry son of a gun.
Despite not being my favorite dungeon, this theme absolutely blasts my ears!
Taking music from the two big FF games this expansion got its second half thematic inspiration from and mixing them into a completely new song is genius.
Which games would those be?
@@FrostJaeger FFIX, which is obvious if you've played it. And then FF Type-0, which is where all the stuff about Memories and stuff comes from. The songs referenced in this dungeon track are the Iifa Tree's theme from FFIX and then Vermillion Fire from Type-0.
They also put a bit of prelude into it

@@orbmac The very beginning synth part. Its the same note progression as the Iifa Tree theme, just sped up.

It has such heavy 358 1/2 Days Final mission vibe.
To me, it makes me think of something of a mix of Young Xehanort’s battle theme, plus the vocals give me big FFXV vibes. So yeah, definitely some Yoko Shimomura influences here

The last area is reminding a lot of people of Twilight Town from Kingdom Hearts, me included. It almost feel nostalgic when they use the same instruments like in KH!

@@tinyplume no doubt about it. Yoshi-P delayed early access so that he- I mean, WE, could play the DLC before Dawntrail.
This feels heavenly and techno. Which makes sense considering what is happening to the poor souls who enter.
Souls are also separated from most of their memories in a normal death, the difference is that this method ensures that the souls will not have any residual memories.

Everytime I main tank and roll this one with a sprout healer who bought a story skip I know I am in for hell.
