    Wow! That just took me back to my first car. It was a L78 77 Trans Am with auto trans. I still love these cars. The ride along took me right back.

    I found one of these on a car lot in '88 or '89. exact same car (minus the 6.6 decal). Same colors, solid roof, same wheels. Perfectly straight & clean & well maintained. Fell in love with it at first sight. Front grille/lights & tail lights made this car stand out to me. Classic look IMHO. I really enjoyed owning that beauty but had to sell a few years later. Still miss it!

    I bought my Trans Am brand new in June of 1978 and I still have it. First things I did after purchase was make the scoop functional and added air shocks and 275's on the rear. It now has a rebuilt 455 from a "73 Grand Prix. That interior looks just like mine did brand new. Mine has been through many changes, abuses, wrecks and restores.

    Awesome piece of automotive history. Reminds me of the good old days when there were choices of hot American muscle all over. And also the drag races on the street every Saturday evening. Sunoco premium was 32.9 per gallon.

    I owned this exact car in 78, mine had the honeycomb wheels and vinyl seats. Also had an Alpine sound system, CB and radar detector. Alarm system had an on off key outside front driver fender.

      It went on. You have to look close though due to the sunlight.

    Not the W72 engine that should be there when using the T/A 6.6 decal on the hood scoop.

    Nice car. The T/A 6.6 on the shaker hood scoop means the engine is a 'W-72 Pontiac 400 Engine' which comes from the factory with chrome valve covers. Where are the chrome valve covers ?

    • @thud9797
      @thud9797 4 месяца назад

      Maybe when new but can't go by the shaker decal any more, these cars have all been repainted and they stick on the shaker whatever decal comes with the graphics kit.

  • @bige2012
    @bige2012 3 года назад

    If only it had Hurst t-tops- & not sure it’s T/A 6.6 as scoop says, valve covers aren’t chrome, or. it’d be 100% the bomb. Still super though

  • @WhittyPics

    Still have the factory radio. They were crap back then but it keeps the car original. Someone must have kept this in a garage covered up for 40 years? It is like a time capsule. I remember when these were new and the hot thing on the street. GM never should have let the Pontiac die
