Getting my second MRI after being diagnosed with MS, I suddenly felt claustrophobic for the first time. To get through that 45 minutes, trapped in that narrow tube, I tried thinking of a calm lake, but it didn't work. Then, I started playing Led Zeppelin 1 in my head from start to finish, note for note and beat for beat. By the end the MRI, I was calm and happy. Thank you, Led Zeppelin. I look forward to episode 2, JCM. Your videos are awesome!

I'm really touched that the music had that calming effect for you, and it means a lot that you find value in my videos. Wishing you the best on your journey, and I’ll make sure episode 2 is worth the wait. Take care and stay strong! 🙏
Man, your theme songs are never long enough. Another epic ..... lots of WOW moments in this one. A lot of stuff going on and people here and there. Super interesting
Thank you very much Scott! I had to sit down and think long about this tone. There were many avenues to take it, in the end i decided to use the E5 power chords as guide as Page went for them a lot on the record!
Well done once again, JCM. Also, I agree with your statement about the sound of this record. The drum sound was fantastic (panning aside). I wish it had carried over a bit longer, until Presence and ITTOD.
Thanks for watching! Oh man, Presence with Led Zeppelin's drum sound would be great BUT i do think they achieved some of that upfront brightness and power with Presence. ITTOD i enjoy the drum sound because it fits Bonham's evolution and style at the time!
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories Agreed! I probably worded my response a little confusing: I would’ve preferred the first album’s drum sound through Graffiti, but kept the ones they got for the final two.

Hats off To (Roy) Harper is a personal favorite song of mine every Zepp fan hates so i take your comment with a big smile Paul! Thank YOU for watching and for your kind words! Can't wait to share the rest of the journey!
I can't agree with you more as Led Zeppelin debut is a game changer in every way. Fantastic overview I always admire your work on these the time and research of photos and facts is great. I wish I had the patience and skill to do this. I picked up the Yardbirds '68 when it came out, but recently just found Live Yardbirds Featuring Jimmy Page. So glad to have both as they are awesome!! To see this all play out with Page and the Yardbirds tour and see it live then to come back with his own band, I envy anyone who saw these shows. Excellent JCM !!!

BTW, how is the sound quality on the Yardbirds releases?
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories The Yardbirds '68 released Jimmy did a few years ago is fantastic. and such a upgrade go find that if you can. The originals are great to sound good for the pressing at the time. If I come across them again I will grab them for your.
This wasn’t a normal JCM video. This…was JCM staking his ground with the full throated authority, intelligence and to-the-death confidence of a hundred men, putting any commercial movie imposters to humiliating shame. 💣
Another superb video or videomentary on a fantastic debut. Your super saturated graphics take us to a unique planet that we don’t want to come back from.
Wow! How amazing that you were able to put together this astonishing detailed story! Can hardly wait to watch every one of your videos. What a find! Thanks for this fantastic content!
YES! Professor Zeppelin is here! I've been waiting for this one, hell I'm waiting for any video the Professor does. Great job as usual and I'm especially loving this Theme Song you did.
Appreciate the kind words! I hope you enjoy the series, there's a lot to unpack in Led Zeppelin 1. A brilliant debut and recording contract really, Zeppelin was the ONLY band not to get screwed by executives/managers from the start.
ANOTHER professional, well-researched documentary- and just when I thought your Zeppelin series was done, you create this and make me want to watch the previous videos all over again! And I always enjoy your Zeppelin-inspired original music!!
Thanks man! This one has been a labor of love! Your comment puts a big smile on my face and tired eyes that coffee turns into a brand new day :) More stuff coming!
I first heard this album around 1979 on an 8-track…this was my first real introduction to Led Zeppelin…for a Debute album it’s epic, iconic and unmatched until at least PG…
I would’ve killed for all this information when I started my own zep journey in the early eighties! Thank you JCM! I love your work! I hope to meet you one day
Nice to see Roy Harper on the poster for the Tim Rose gig at 24 mins 14 seconds, July 31 1968 when Page finally heard John Bonham properly for the first time.
24:14 is the way you can time stamp what you are referring to. The viewer clicks the time stamp and the video plays from that time. I would recommend 24:11 as a time stamp.
Wonderful start to the story. I liked the hearing the 1968 sound in Spring. Cool to get that context for the first álbum since I wasn't around then. Can't wait for part 2.
Hey Daniel! Cheers brother. Yes the 1968 stuff in the States, those Yardbirds recordings should be mandatory listens for all Zep fans, you really get a sense of the blueprint, the embryonic development. Page had the winning hand, and he wasn't going to lose...no way!
Another FANtastic film by JCM!! Thank you for making this film, as LZ1 was the EXACT album that hooked me on Zep at age 14. All of us fans have our story of why Zep means so much to us and it's just so awesome you've put together such a spectacular channel with productions dedicated to the fandom of Led Zeppelin. My very first experience of listening LZ1 was getting off the bus after school with no one home and discovering my father's 8-track cassette tapes....the "blimp" on fire captured my imagination and I thought "hmm....what's this about??". Sure I heard LZ on the radio and loved their top-hits, but I wondered what else they had to offer. Well.....I was BLOWN AWAY by EVERY SONG on that album. I wore out my father's 8-track and bought myself the cassette and it followed me through my remaining high school years. My most memorable impacting song, that helped me get through studying for end of year final exams, was "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You". Idk y, but no matter anytime I hear it, especially the middle when Page introduces The Bow, it makes me transform to that period of time in my life...almost 31 years ago! If you get to my comment here, on a side note, I'd love to hear your thoughts on guitarist Mick Ronson? I recently discovered old footage of him and Bowie playing in concert and really love their live performance of "Moonage Daydream".
Age 14, oh man, i relate, 100%, it does get you hooked on the sound, absolutely. The blimp does capture one's attention right? I've never listened to this album on 8-track, i bet it sounded great, warmth and punch. When you say the bow on Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, you mean the sound in the middle? I think that was made with an actual slide guitar on top of a steel pedal instrument so it builds, not wanting to crush your memories though hehehe. The Bow was used on Dazed and How Many More Times. Sorry, my fanboy got out! Mick Ronson, well i'd have to do some research on him. First off i think he lives in the shadow of Bowie but the man had much artistry just like Steve Stevens and Billy Idol but you know....so much better :) Hope you like Episode 2, have a great week!
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories thank you for your response and NO WAY did you crush my memories! I just had assumed the part in the middle was created by the bow bc of the way it sounds and after watching Danmarks Radio Live performance. You have a good week too! Here's a video for Bowie that I think is awesome....ruclips.net/video/6pXoQ6iYO1w/видео.htmlsi=v4jt-pRjpfkVvWKh
Hey JCM - Any young fan just getting into Zeppelin who finds your channel is in for an awesome treat - and may I say how much I just enjoyed this video, keep up the outstanding work - compelling viewing as always.
I’m addicted to watching reaction videos of people only now discovering Zeppelin, something about is so fulfilling. It’s almost like rediscovering it myself for the first time.
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback, it's uplifting to say the least. Hope this channel is the place for new fans to discover the human side behind the songs, the stories, the HUSTLE, they EARNED every dollar they made and deserve the HIGHEST praise for centuries to come!
Some really cool info for hardcore Zep fans. A good friend & I are going to the Cinemax show in Feb. All of the band's albums were great, but I have always thought that their first two were the very best.
I'm from around Cleveland, Ohio. We had a great radio station called WMMS home of the buzzard. And a famous DJ named kid. Leo called this album the debuts of debuts. I was lucky enough to see Zeppelin twice 1975- 77 at the Richfield coliseum I love your content
Great job as usual Jose. The clip of The Marquee's listings at 27:49 - gigs nearly every night of the week and the tickets were the equivalent of 76p, and that was just one venue out of many. What a time to be alive!
Great video JCM! Thank you for your hard work! I always thought these four gentlemen would have achieved much greater success as the "Newer New Yardbirds."
A labor of admiration for Zeppelin, what a band right? They just did everything right from the start! Thank YOU for your support really! Stay tuned for Part 2!
JCM is a great channel. It is a great space to come and enjoy the awesome experience of Led Zeppelin brought to us by Jose. It would be so nice and appreciated if politics and political opinions be left out. Jose, a million thanks for what you are doing for Zep fans!!! Cheers!
One of the greatest things for me about Zepp is they didn't sing about POLITICS. I hate rockers talking about that because, it ends up sounding phony you know? Music...the arts, are a language that brings people together. Politics is just like Frank Zappa said, is the entertainment division of the military industrial complex. Long live the passion for MUSIC, we can change the world, one album at a time!
Once again, a meticulously researched, fascinating watch. Thank you. I'd love think the members of the band - especially Jimmy Page - are aware of these superb documentaries.
My pleasure DSM9, all a labor of admiration for the greatest rock band of the 70s and one who made 1969 THEIRS. Slowly but surely, by the end of the year, they WON. If Jimmy is watching, i hope he understands i hate MEAT LOAF and LOVE his band :)
I heard Led Zeppelin II First, approx. 27th Dec, 1969 & then sometime in early to mid January 1970 I heard Led Zeppelin I & It Hit Like a Bomb had Gone Off! It was the Most Raw & Heavy Sound I'd ever heard!
Page never gets the credit he objectively deserves as one of the most innovative and impactful producers in the history of recorded music, no hype. You are correct, sir -- few debuts land with such brilliance as this, but there a few others: King Crimson, Heart, and the little known but brilliant Crack The Sky. Often, though, it's hard to live up to the initial burst.
Page was a genius, and i hope this series sheds light on his vision. A saavy businessman, a true orchestrator of success that KNEW where he wanted the band to go. Zeppelin lived up to the burst and MORE! Thank you very much for watching!
Even Page's timing was better than Hendrix, also he didn't meet manager Michael Jeffery who really screwed him over and thankfully he died in a plane crash in 1973. Had Hendrix not having to deal with Curtis Knight and Jeffery....a much different career. Page was smarter and luckier in this regard, it has to be said, the man NEVER signed a piece of paper without reading.
My first time hearing live Yardbirds - spooky how much of embryonic Zeppelin was present. No surprise that Page was yearning to take the music into new, stratospheric territory.
It's embyronic premonition indeed. Led Zeppelin 1 was a personal message by Page to previous Yardbirds producers...."this is how you do it". The band's US TOUR of 1968 was very potent, the energy was there. I believe had Relf and McCarty stayed, Page would've produced a great Yardbirds album himself it he had the chance. Jimmy the producer is what separated him from the others, i bet Clapton and Beck were impressed by Zep 1, beyond the music...much more!
"(Not buying the first album first) felt like cheating the Zeppelin timeline" is such a great line. This is one of many reasons your videos are so good.
ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT !! 1,2 & 4 is where I started. I remember my dad telling me about how he had a paper route in 1968-69. Got his money and went to buy a new record. He’d never heard of LZ (their 1st album had just hit shelves) but he bought LZ1 solely due to the 4 guys on the back cover having long hair. 😂🤣 He gets it home, gets halfway through ‘Good Times, Bad Times’ and he’s calling all of his friends inviting them over to have their minds blown. By the end of the day the record shop was all out of LZ1 copies.
Your DAD made the BEST CHOICE indeed. That's such a cool memory, i can picture the scene. This album was a GAMECHANGER that made Pete Townshend cry at night!
This was great. I have Little Games in my music collection, but it's in mono. It shows what direction Jimmy Page was heading. I heard that Jimmy also wanted Steve Winwood to be part of his band, but he was forming Blind Faith. Cheers! ✌️
Page knew where he wanted to go yes, and Little Games is a great audio document, i need to get the album in my collection, your mono copy must sound really cool. Winwood could've been a possibility as Blind Faith was forming in early 1969, but Page was already touring the States with Zepp, who knows if he jammed with them? Maybe! Thank you for watching! Stay tuned for part 2!°
Hey Annette!!! Thanks so much, i had fun recording this one. Almost went with a Babe I'm Gonna Leave You type of thing but then i thought, what best represents Led Zeppelin 1 but a potent E5 Power Chord??? Thank you for watching! Stay tuned for part 2!°
I took my nephew to see Toy soldiers I was blown away by comm breakdown, I'd been into Zeppelin since childhood in the early 80s But blaring through the theater Loved it Such great content,
Ahh man that's cool. The movie itself was quite entertaining. As a kid it seemed to me like a darker version of Toy Story, a much better film lol. Communication Breakdown certainly plant the seed for me! Thanks fof watching. Episode 2 is out now!
Good documentary as always. When I saw the part at the end about Pink Floyd playing Sacramento, I had to see where and it was the Sound Factory my brother was at that show, it was an old bowling alley turned into a solid rock venue. I was just about to turn 4 years old, and my brother just turned 15.
Wow! What a cool story about your brother. I wonder if he remembers it? A bowling alley to host Pink Floyd, now that is a documentary of its own!! That's awesome!
@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories So yes, my brother said that Pink Floyd was really good. My brother passed away in January of 2006, but he had so many great stories. He has seen Jimi Hendrix 5 times, Santana 3 times he said the best Santana show was on the Santana third album tour with Neil Schon on guitar with Carlos . My brother took me to my first concert in 1977 on July 23rd in Oakland, CA. at Day on the Green, Led Zeppelin, Rick Derringer, and Judas Priest. The stage looked like Stonehenge. Jimmy Page was my hero, John Bonham was a monster on the drum kit that day, and of course, back stage for the incident. I was blessed to see and hear the band Led Zeppelin live, and they were LOUD! My brother took me to my first 3 concerts. Sharing the same room with my brother as a kid, I heard a lot of music. My brother played drums, but he stopped when he was a senior in high school. He was a really good drummer, people that he went to school with told me he was great. I was 6 years old when he stopped playing, but even at 6 years old, Led Zeppelin was my favorite band. I apologize for rambling on lol, The Sound Factory was originally a bowling alley, but the guy who bought it reconstructed it into a place for concerts. My brother went to quiet a few there, also seeing Jethro Tull there. Take care. I appreciate the work you have done.
As for the first CD's that came out featuring Led Zeppelin music, the sound quality was poor, second and third-generation master tapes were used to put out their music on CD. Their music was re-mastered for the box set that came out in 1990.
I bought the first album on cd in 1988 and there was a crackling noise on " how many more times ". I took it back to exchange it and the young girl reluctantly swapped it for another one. She played it before exchanging it but she couldn't hear the fault but I could. Got the new one home and guess what? Same crackling sound on the same spot.
Wish i could man, i would feel so many vibrations and energies there...i'm sure. Probably Giant's Causeway first to play Houses of the Holy there!! Maybe one day i can crowdfund that journey :)
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories definitely man. All notifications: ON! Looking forward to it, and thanks for all your hard work you put into these videos, they are truly phenomenal.
That back cover photograph was taken by none other than Chris Dreja - who recently retired from music to pursue a photography career! His name is credited on the lower right corner. After learning about this quartets’ evolution so many years ago, the thing that really amazes is that it sounds (their debut album) as if they’d been together for decade. Instead it was a mere few short months. In their naivety they’d thought they made a good record and were shocked to read the scathing reviews by brain-dead, would-be journalists.
Page definitely used The Yardbirds 1968 platform, but it really shows the arranging skills all 4 had. This for me is their greatest contribution. They could tackle any song by anyone and make it better. The plagiarism accusations are BS really, they ELEVATED the material they were inspired by. Unlike....so many competitors. Journalists hated them because Led Zeppelin made their girlfriends happy...i'm sure Robert stole more than one! More power to HIM! Hope he stole a Rolling Stone Journalist Girlfriend!
The audio mix is like hearing peak james jamerson and peak joe morello and peak albert king and peak Ian gillian recording themselves in ennio morricones' favorite studio
It's a debut album that changed things. Page went for jazz production styles into rock and roll. He paid close attention to what Rudy Van Gelder did i am sure.
Hey JCM Perhaps you could discuss the very different sound between the first vinyl editions and the subsequent digital output, The three album remaster was sourced from digital files, a source of much discussion amongst Led Zeppelin aficionados..
I really like your idea, now let me tell you that when a studio mix is SO GOOD like this album is, remastering processes really take it to great places as opposed of compressing the sound or TRYING to hard to add brightness. I think John Davis' latest remaster is VERY GOOD, i applaud him! Thank YOU for watching! Stay tuned for Part 2!
John Davis? I’m not aware of this…. is this a vinyl pressing? I diligently purchased the remasters when they came out, not much was said about the vagaries of the actual source of the vinyl pressings , now known to be digital. I have over time got first pressings of all the albums, the biggest change is 3 and Presence, 3 is notably more liquid in its reproduction of guitars and keyboards, it’s more dynamic with greater sense of room sound, Presence is quite spiky , the mids and highs are brittle and sharp, I remember Jimmy speaking about changing the EQ with the digital re master, and the difference between the original Song Remains The Same in it’s original Eddie Kramer vinyl mix and the complete remix is actually quite troubling even with the extra songs … I have watched all your videos, very good indeed, the first thing I ever heard was your favourite, In Through The Out Door, which again is far more involving and dense with sound than the remaster, I then worked backwards with my Led Zeppelin purchases, cheers from England, love to get you in a studio and write some tunes, I sing, your playing is great dude ….
Well done JCM. I subscribed. No need to look further to find detailed sources in regards of Led Zeppelin and it's band members (even though I would look to other videos of anything new comes up). 🎵🎻🎹🥁🎤🎸🎼Thank you Update: I'm gonna watch your video: The Making of "The Song Remains the Same" Madison Square Garden NYC 1973 probably one of the very Best Live Concerts of All Times in my opinion.
Obs-Tweedle was a Walsall-based 1960s rock band notable for singer Robert Plant’s appearance before joining Led Zeppelin. The band also featured Bill Bonham, a cousin of future Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, on keyboards and bass guitar. The band was originally known as ‘Sounds of Three’ and later changed to ‘The Answer’ in 1966. Before Obs-Tweedle, Robert was the frontman for The Band of Joy. The correct name of the band was Obs-Tweedle, not Hobbstweedle or Hebbstweedle. I read that Robert Plant was also on salary for approximately the first 12 to 18 months of Led Zeppelin. Led Zeppelin’s first-ever rehearsal, was held on Monday, 12 August 1968, at 39 Gerrard Street in Soho, London, U.K.
You know your facts, 100% always a pleasure to read them. I believe Robert could have been a salaried man in Led Zeppelin but at the same time, i don't think he was based on the circumstances you know? Bonham WAS making money and he saw this as a job opportunity, smart man.
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Storiesnow what I have heard was their first rehearsal was on August 19,1968, the day before Plant’s 20th birthday. Though whenever it was, everything happened so quick. How quick Jimmy got the other 3 to the 6 gigs in Iceland, to recording & signing on with Atlantic Records. I have to wonder, are there any other bands that had everything flow that quick? The fact they got that amazing contract, & signing bonus, by I believe it was November 22,1968, is so mind blowing. When you think too, it was two pairs that knew each other, but didn’t know the other pair. How their being so in sync musically, was like being a set of quad brothers, or 4 parts of the same person. I know I’m yapping on, but I’m such a huge fan of them, at least 50 years. Sadly never had the chance to see them in concert, either to young to far away, or never came back to the USA. GREATEST BAND EVER!!!
Great Question! Top of my head you'd be surprised by my answer: The 2008 SHM and the 2014 Remaster (the way they augmented it's power with modern technology proves this was their best MIX from all their studio albums). When a mix is so good, you can really get the most from remastering.
The SHM sounds like it was done with the same care as the Japanese Replicas so i definitely recommend it. Also any 2014 copy because the clarity definitely stands out. As far as Diament vs Marino...well depends on the user's stereo because the Marino one is beefier with extra punch sometimes at the expense of clarity.
There has been an urban myth, propagated in part by the singer Donovan, that Holdsworth played the fuzztone solo on Donovan's 1968 hit "Hurdy Gurdy Man", but the solo was actually played by Alan Parker. (from Wikipedia)
Ironic that Plant was living above that pub on the Beechdale estate when Jimmy discovered him, since the next big estate to the north north is the Caldmore, and that's where Rob Halford grew up.
Wow i had no idea about this proximity fact. So there was something in the air for rock and roll frontmen! Early Judas ROCKS so....much! Thank you for watching! Stay tuned for part 2!

Jose, I found an interesting fact that I thought you might be interested in. The last show of the Yardbirds was on July 7, 1968. I found a calendar, and July 7, 1968 was on a Sunday.
I re-watched the episode and for some reason I didn't see your calendar of dates and I think your time line is probably correct. Mick Wall's book has the rehearsal on the 19th, but I can't pinpoint that date. Maybe Becoming Led Zeppelin will tell us
So incredibly detailed and researched ONCE again! Move over Ken Burns (famed documentarian)....JCM is in TOWN and has taken THE STAGE!

That would be amazing Vance thank you. Id like to get a CD copy of it. Cant get enough of this band now. Have been playing Marquee 1964 today!
Jose.... Great choice to put out before the Becoming Led Zeppelin Doc comes out. Cant wait my friend 🤘🏼✌🏼👍🏼
I think this one is gonna be a lot of fun. 1968 was such an exciting year to say the least! Hope you enjoy it Keith!
Whoa, you’re on FIRE!!!! And completely captured the essence of it all with the opening track. 👏🔥
Life…of struggle.
This wasn’t a normal JCM video.
This…was JCM staking his ground with the full throated authority, intelligence and to-the-death confidence of a hundred men, putting any commercial movie imposters to humiliating shame.

Another superb video or videomentary on a fantastic debut. Your super saturated graphics take us to a unique planet that we don’t want to come back from.
Thank you so much 😀 I love color so super saturated graphics is the way to go :)
Wow! How amazing that you were able to put together this astonishing detailed story! Can hardly wait to watch every one of your videos. What a find! Thanks for this fantastic content!
Thanks for the kind words! It's been a labor of love indeed. Hope you enjoy the various playlists of this 130+ video channel!
Van Halen and The Cars are the only other debuts that come close.Great job JCM!
I agree with you Steve. Maybe Van Halen over The Cars? So difficult. Also i would put Santana's debut just for the SOUND quality!
Fantastic! I bet even Jimmy Page can’t wait for the next episode!
His Dragon Telecaster custom model is so baddass! I think it's one of his finest guitars! Thanks for watching man, stay tuned for the next one!
ANOTHER professional, well-researched documentary- and just when I thought your Zeppelin series was done, you create this and make me want to watch the previous videos all over again! And I always enjoy your Zeppelin-inspired original music!!

Working on it Marcel! First i need to make some coffee hehe. Thanks for watching!
I first heard this album around 1979 on an 8-track…this was my first real introduction to Led Zeppelin…for a Debute album it’s epic, iconic and unmatched until at least PG…
It's one hell of an introduction man, what an entry point right?
This is nothing short of amazing! Outstanding work!👏
I'm so glad you think so! Stay tuned for the series. Episode 2 is out now, and Episode 3 will premiere February 8th!

Best episode yet Jose! You Rawk!
Thanks so much EARL! This series is an eye opener for many angles, i am glad i waited this long to embark on this journey!
Got to be the best JCM video yet - REAL, HARDCORE Led Zeppelin.
PURE as fuck.
Cheers to the GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIME, and your comment MADE MY DAY!!! Hell Yeah brother! Thank you for watching! Stay tuned for part 2!
I would’ve killed for all this information when I started my own zep journey in the early eighties! Thank you JCM! I love your work! I hope to meet you one day
Glad I can help you along your journey! Zeppelin is one of the most fulfilling journeys in music.
Tim Rose to the occasion at the Country Club. Wish if we had interviews of him talking about losing his hired drummer in 1968....hehe.
Stellar presentation, Jose! Very timely, too! Becoming Led Zep less than 3 weeks away! TY! Ernie
Thank you Ernie, I hope you enjoy it! 1968 was an exciting year to say the least. Hope this works a good side piece to the film.

Thank you Paul! Glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate the music compliments :)
Great job as always my friend,Rock On!!!
Thank you so much! More Zeppelin coming your way!
Some really cool info for hardcore Zep fans. A good friend & I are going to the Cinemax show in Feb. All of the band's albums were great, but I have always thought that their first two were the very best.
So cool! Hope you guys enjoy the movie, i wanna hear your feedback! Zepp II is one of my personal favorites!

Wooooow! Open titles the finest! What a honey for my eyes! Thanks a lot!
Thanks so much! I had fun making that intro. It was hard to come up with the concept but i just let inspiration do its thing!
The Richfield Coliseum was demolished. What is at the site now?
Which night in 77’ did U see em’-4/27 or 4/28 ?
@ I didn’t see them.
Leo was absolutely right! You saw Zepp at Ohio 1975 and 1977? SO COOL, was that Jan 24, 1975 and 1977 Richfield or Riverfront Coliseum?

Great timing considering "Becoming Led Zeppelin" will premire on February 7th❤❤❤❤
Decided to add a complementary piece that works in favor of this film. It will be a GREAT GREAT GREAT movie experience, i'm sure :)
Great job as usual Jose. The clip of The Marquee's listings at 27:49 - gigs nearly every night of the week and the tickets were the equivalent of 76p, and that was just one venue out of many. What a time to be alive!
Thanks so much! Oh yes, i agree that the times favored the music scene a lot, everybody was gaining momentum, things were HAPPENING!
Great video JCM! Thank you for your hard work! I always thought these four gentlemen would have achieved much greater success as the "Newer New Yardbirds."
The Revamped Yardbirds hehe. or maybe the Page-Birds?
Everything you do sounds so epic. Cheers to Jose's voice as well. Seriously ✌️
A labor of admiration for Zeppelin, what a band right? They just did everything right from the start! Thank YOU for your support really! Stay tuned for Part 2!
Again, awesome work. Didn’t want it to end. Psyched for EP2 👍
We'll dive deeper into the spirit of 1968! Thanks for watching!
Another masterpiece jose

I love these videos. Thanks!
Thank YOU for watching! Part 2 premieres soon, we'll go on the road with the Yardbirds!
I heard Led Zeppelin II First, approx. 27th Dec, 1969 & then sometime in early to mid January 1970 I heard Led Zeppelin I & It Hit Like a Bomb had Gone Off! It was the Most Raw & Heavy Sound I'd ever heard!
Your description is most accurate, the effect is still fresh all these years right? The Second album is one of my personal favorites!
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories It just Cuts through like a Barber's Straight Razor!!!
It cuts Pete Townsend notorious Zeppelin hater's heart in two lol
Oh WOW this is a new episode 😊😊😊😊
“…two yardbirds members exiting the band was one of the biggest contributions to Rock and Roll history…” Wah! Brilliant!
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-StoriesHe also had good timing. Like Hendrix, it’s good to be there at the beginning of things.
ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALRIGHT !!
1,2 & 4 is where I started.
I remember my dad telling me about how he had a paper route in
1968-69. Got his money and went to buy a new record. He’d never heard of LZ (their 1st album had just hit shelves) but he bought LZ1 solely due to the 4 guys on the back cover having long hair. 😂🤣
He gets it home, gets halfway through ‘Good Times, Bad Times’ and he’s calling all of his friends inviting them over to have their minds blown. By the end of the day the record shop was all out of LZ1 copies.
Your DAD made the BEST CHOICE indeed. That's such a cool memory, i can picture the scene. This album was a GAMECHANGER that made Pete Townshend cry at night!
Loved the video as Led Zeppelin fan!❤congratulations
Glad you liked it Carlos! More Zeppelin coming up soon! This BAND is an endless journey!
The July 7, 1968 show billed as Yardbirds last concert has not been confirmed to have happened.
This has been the source of speculation and there are two schools of thought heren. I am on the "took place" camp :),. Hope you enjoyed the episode!
Thank u, José!
Thank you Rodrigo, stay tuned for Part 2, we're going on the road with the Yardbirds!
As for the first CD's that came out featuring Led Zeppelin music, the sound quality was poor, second and third-generation master tapes were used to put out their music on CD. Their music was re-mastered for the box set that came out in 1990.
I think the 2014 remaster is one of the best sounding CD's out there to be honest!
Hey Jose, Have you ever done a Zeppelin pilgrimage to the UK, Olympic Studios location, Bron Yr Aur, Headley Grange, and all that? Fun!
Wish i could man, i would feel so many vibrations and energies there...i'm sure. Probably Giant's Causeway first to play Houses of the Holy there!! Maybe one day i can crowdfund that journey :)
Really good Jose
Thanks Duane! Part 2 will go into the workings of the name change and keeping Bonham behaving lol.

Hey JCM reallly like your intro tune good playing man

The audio mix

Jose, your mother is a great woman. She gave you some money to get Led-Over! Bravo.

Awesome!!❤❤
Thanks Russell! The rest of the story is coming, stay tuned!
Out of all your copies whatone do you consider the best sound overall?
Great Question! Top of my head you'd be surprised by my answer: The 2008 SHM and the 2014 Remaster (the way they augmented it's power with modern technology proves this was their best MIX from all their studio albums). When a mix is so good, you can really get the most from remastering.
@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories interesting. I find a lot of remasters of old rocker stuff from that time in the 2000's are fantastic
@@JCM-LedZeppelin-Stories I'm gonna be on the hunt now. Cheers man 🍻 thanks for all the care you put into these. Much love from Toronto
6:15 that intro is so f*cking epic
Guitars to celebrate the greatest band :) Thank you for watching! Stay tuned for part 2!°
There has been an urban myth, propagated in part by the singer Donovan, that Holdsworth played the fuzztone solo on Donovan's 1968 hit "Hurdy Gurdy Man", but the solo was actually played by Alan Parker.
(from Wikipedia)
While it may be a rumour, Holdsworth did cut his teeth in various sessions, i believe it did happen!
Yo! Your theme songs are insane! You make these?! Can we get a making video of that?
Hey man, thanks for watching! I do make these theme songs from scratch. It was FUN to record this one. Maybe i could do a video on the next theme i make? Great idea!
Why didn't they release 'The Train Kept A-Rollin' on vinyl?
Royalties and everybody did that track back then!
Awww your mom is beautiful
Thank you Kellie, i gave her the message, she said you are very kind :)
Maybe Becoming Led Zeppelin will tell us
Those dates are so WEIRD right? EERIE to say the least!
Beck's Bolero was recorded in '66 not '67.
True, my bad, i meant the release date indeed!
