i have so much respect for you bro.. i tried so hard to wrap and believe me... it was the hardest thing ever!!! but wow brake calipers? man....cheers to you brother ...you always do a hell of a great job keep it up love your videos.
I told people about the vvivid caliper wrap they laughed at me. Glad to see it being brought to life I hope it lasts forever for I can rub it in their faces
This did not stand the test of time. 2020, discontinued and no longer on the market haha. I just ran into this video and was reading thru comments haha
I’ve done this before and it actually lasted a while. I don’t have the time now to do it and I asked someone that actually wraps and he just kind of laughed and said u can’t wrap calipers. Lol i wish I can show him this video lol nice work !!
Wow never even thought that was possible. Excellent job as always, really enjoy all your uploads .I don’t know how long you’ve been doing this but you make it look so easy .
Man i cant even wrap without fucking up so many times and wasting so many vinyl doing the car radio trim alone. And that shit was just a straight flat surface. U sir are a god when it comes to this.👍✌️🙏
" We're always striving for perfection. " LOL " We're " just watching YOU create perfection, Christian ! Unbelievable. I found my first try @ wrapping. Thank you. My best, Scott
There are some vinyl that can width stand higher heat than regular vinyl. Also the caliper itself does not generate much heat compare to the rotor or pads. The vinyl should hold with regular everyday driving.
Legacy Function just curious, I've painted calipers with 500° high temp engine paint and had it turn dark and scorch, that's why I was surprised to see calipers being wrapped with vinyl.
Prob only really useful for multi piston fixed calipers on higher end sport cars As opposed to sliding floating type found on non sporty type cars as they have multiple moving parts
Watched a couple of your vids to learn so I can do some DIY on my Grand Cherokee, especially the panoramic roof-look wrap. After watching this, I just have to subscribe and leave a comment. I respect and acknowledge what you do. Thank you for sharing your work with us. 👍
Painting takes longer if you consider all the steps . Remove wheel , (remove pad and rotors in some cases) , degrease caliper , sand caliper slightly, mask area , clean caliper before paint , coat one of primer, wait for drying , coat two of primer , wait to dry , coat one of paint , dry time, two of paint , dry time ,three of paint , dry time, final paint coat , dry time , coat one of clear , dry , coat two of clear , dry. If you want it perfect, clean and wet sand to get a smooth finish , remove masking, walk around vehicle to clean any overspray you got on your paint. Then rinse and repeat on other three wheels , painting calipers is an all day project if it’s done correctly
Thanks! Since I am changing rotors & pads should be much easier for me! One question: After cleaning with brake cleaner ....do you think Alcohol or Acetone would be best for final cleaning? I'm a bit concerned about any reaction to the wrap with Acetone. Doing this on my 1996 Mitsubishi 3000 GT Spyder. Car only has 25k miles on it so pretty clean but changing to drilled & slotted rotors & better pads. Stock rotors on these car are garbage & prone to warping.
I got the green wrap from vvivid for my brembos was going to do it myself but this video got me thinking it might be better you do it... you got a price? I'm just east of Toronto Thx
Looks very nice, but I just don't trust the durability of vinyl. I have used G2 caliper paint and that works great. The paint has help up very well after 3 years. And the application is super easy. You just clean tbe calipers, mix the paint with the catalyst and brush it on.
Yo I’m about to try and wrap my M4 calipers this weekend. Do you have a video of you wrapping the M4 calipers? Looks much harder than this one due to the shape of the M4 calipers. I’ll be using 3M wrap since vivid was sold out on the red wrap. Any tips or help is appreciated!
Nice work Christian. Looking to do this and other vinyl accents for a Camaro SS. Problem presently is VVivid wrap vinyl availability..it is horrible the number of vinyls on their website which are either BO/sold out/discontinued. This goes for a lot of colors for this caliper vinyl as well as several regular wrap colors & finishes (satin chromes, etc..). Just so disappointing. Have you had the same challenges in getting vinyls from Vvivid?
Hey, C, Karl again. This was really fun to watch. You are a surgeon. I've never ever wrapped anything. If I took my time, do you think a beginner could do this? I'm good with my hands and tools. What do you think? I'd love to try this. Can I buy the sheet and knife from you? I'd love to use yellow. Where do the stickers come from? Very sincerely, Karl in Denver
+Karl Arndt hey Karl, something like this can be challenging but it's great for a diy project and to help you learn. If you follow the steps in the video I don't see why anyone wouldn't be able to tackle this. Even if it doesn't come out as nice looking most people won't notice when looking at then through the wheels. I do sell film but we have a minimum order of 25 feet which would be a lot more than you need. You'd want about 3-4 feet. You can buy the film and tools at www.vvividvinyl.com
Hey, C, question, is there any difference in colors when it comes to brakes in your opinion? I would like to use yellow but traditional red would be fine as well. The car is a 2017 Subaru Outback Touring, White. Thanks again for all your help. Karl
If it gets as hot as a caliper or less and smooth enough to adhere then yes you can wrap an intake manifold or similar lower temp item. Dont expect it to last on say a valve cover.
yeah, it cost me 1,500 to paint my front bumper and skirts and likely would have been 6-7 grand for the whole thing given its an suv. on the other hand, for a basic color wrap, it would have cost at most 4-5 for the whole thing. wrap isnt cheap, but most definitely cheaper than paint
This was painful to watch for me. I don't have the kind of patience it takes to prep the calipers and def not to work all the crevices. I also didn't think it would look that good but I was wrong. Your videos.are great and make you think in ways you normally wouldn't when it comes to what's possible. Thank you!
Looks cool but not for me i would always to be worried about the wrap coming off and locking up a tire on the highway or in city. But keep up the great work love the videos. Thinking of trying my own hand at wrapping my tail lights one day.
After putting this in an actual heat application, how do you think this film would do on a motorcycle rocker box cover on the top of the engine? If the film itself holds up, does the adhesive cure hard on the piece that it's going on, like a chrome piece that gets extremely hot, or would it be fairly easy to remove the adhesive if I decide to remove the film later on?
FARGO GEMINI How could painting possibly be easier than this? Just stripping and sanding would take longer than vinyl wrapping. And then you have to prime (3 coats 10 minutes apart) then paint (3-4 coats 10 minutes apart) then clear coat (2-3 coats 10 min apart. Not to mention the mess, the smell... I mean, are you even using your head when you leave a comment like that or what? Jfc
Amazed that a brake caliber can be wrapped. Thanks for the great lesson.
i have so much respect for you bro.. i tried so hard to wrap and believe me... it was the hardest thing ever!!! but wow brake calipers? man....cheers to you brother ...you always do a hell of a great job keep it up love your videos.
I told people about the vvivid caliper wrap they laughed at me. Glad to see it being brought to life I hope it lasts forever for I can rub it in their faces
CrowdHunters it's hard to do it in some brakes, it's way easier to powder coat
Alen Pepic and more durable too, wrapping them it sounds stupid
Hahahahahah
This did not stand the test of time. 2020, discontinued and no longer on the market haha. I just ran into this video and was reading thru comments haha
Pro tip : you can watch movies at Kaldrostream. Been using it for watching a lot of movies these days.
Superb job Christian as always. Clinical and professional!!
That is amazing work!! Is there nothing you can't wrap!! Just awesome!!
I’ve done this before and it actually lasted a while. I don’t have the time now to do it and I asked someone that actually wraps and he just kind of laughed and said u can’t wrap calipers. Lol i wish I can show him this video lol nice work !!
I actually think the two tone caliper looks dope at the 15:50 mark lol
Totally agree. Looks mint 👍
The best wrapper in the US 🔥🔥🔥🔥 has taught me a lot from these videos
Wow never even thought that was possible. Excellent job as always, really enjoy all your uploads .I don’t know how long you’ve been doing this but you make it look so easy .
Man i cant even wrap without fucking up so many times and wasting so many vinyl doing the car radio trim alone. And that shit was just a straight flat surface. U sir are a god when it comes to this.👍✌️🙏
Thanks man. Got a few small sheets and wasn’t sure how I was going to make it fit. I like the 2 sheets for the caliper to cover everything. 🎉
" We're always striving for perfection. " LOL " We're " just watching YOU create perfection, Christian ! Unbelievable. I found my first try @ wrapping. Thank you.
My best,
Scott
I didnt know any wraps would withstand the heat that brakes put out
There are some vinyl that can width stand higher heat than regular vinyl.
Also the caliper itself does not generate much heat compare to the rotor or pads.
The vinyl should hold with regular everyday driving.
+Legacy Function you're absolutely right. Time will tell though
Legacy Function just curious, I've painted calipers with 500° high temp engine paint and had it turn dark and scorch, that's why I was surprised to see calipers being wrapped with vinyl.
Everyday driving would be different from a day on the track or drifting.
Nice brakes
I would have really liked seeing you do the front one. Those tend to have more details to go around
I wish I was closer I'm in Florida. Ur a beast. And wish professionals out here were like u.
Thank you very much for your tutorial it just changed my mind about trying to wrap my calipers
Prob only really useful for multi piston fixed calipers on higher end sport cars
As opposed to sliding floating type found on non sporty type cars as they have multiple moving parts
ive been trying to buy this for ages and its always Sold Out....where can i buy this caliper wrap ?
that's insane.. lol ur amazing at wraps. best ive ever seen in my life. props🙌
You make it look so simple 😃😂 great job man 😃
dude rocking the blue jays cap! Love it!
Watched a couple of your vids to learn so I can do some DIY on my Grand Cherokee, especially the panoramic roof-look wrap. After watching this, I just have to subscribe and leave a comment. I respect and acknowledge what you do. Thank you for sharing your work with us. 👍
You are a really wrap wizard!!!!!

I cant even wrap my flat hood and this mans wrapping calipers
Amazing Job! Looks like a million dollars. Big Fan
Quality work. You get what you pay for. Well done
adamwalencik quality would be getting them powder coated
Thanks! Since I am changing rotors & pads should be much easier for me! One question: After cleaning with brake cleaner ....do you think Alcohol or Acetone would be best for final cleaning? What did you use for the white lettering? The webpage you linked to doesn't have white.
Looks very nice, but I just don't trust the durability of vinyl. I have used G2 caliper paint and that works great. The paint has help up very well after 3 years. And the application is super easy. You just clean tbe calipers, mix the paint with the catalyst and brush it on.
Vinyl is stronger than you think. And this is a different level of difficulty from PaInT
Brake clean works awesome too because it leaves no residual!
+ItBseCtioN8 definitely another good alternative
Brake klean destroys any painted finish so be careful if you ever want to go back
Yo I’m about to try and wrap my M4 calipers this weekend. Do you have a video of you wrapping the M4 calipers? Looks much harder than this one due to the shape of the M4 calipers. I’ll be using 3M wrap since vivid was sold out on the red wrap. Any tips or help is appreciated!
Great video as always!
Is there anything you can't do with wrap Christian? You're like a wrap guru \o/
LurkMoar101 yah.. he is a vynle wizard
He can come wrap my house
Can this wrap withstand extream heat temperatures without peeling or melting and how long will it last?
Nice work Christian. Looking to do this and other vinyl accents for a Camaro SS. This goes for a lot of colors for this caliper vinyl as well as several regular wrap colors & finishes (satin chromes, etc..). Just so disappointing. Have you had the same challenges in getting vinyls from Vvivid?
So in conclusion, I’ll be painting them.
Get to it CK lol Just messing with you You da Man !!!!!
This is really dope, any chances of new colors like gold coming out soon?
Can you put decals on it as well
damn, didnt know you could wrap calipers. thought they generated to much heat and would melt the film :D
It's not regular wrap tho, it's special wrap for high temperatures.
Michael
i have a special water that cure homosexuality too
Nice work. Is it going to withstand the constant heat though?
very knowledgeable, im subbed, wanna learn a bit more about wrapping :)
I'm looking to wrap calipers on my dad's ISF, how much vinyl do you think is necessary for all four?
How did you put the Brembo on the front?
how did you do the Brembo Words in white? Did you use a lot of post-heat so it won't lift off with the heat from the brakes?
Stickers after the wrap.
Hey, C, Karl again. This was really fun to watch. You are a surgeon.
I've never ever wrapped anything. If I took my time, do you think a beginner could do this? I'm good with my hands and tools. What do you think? I'd love to try this. Can I buy the sheet and knife from you?

Great job, Christian
Sure that 700C from calipers isn't enough to melt the vinil?
Hey, C, question, is there any difference in colors when it comes to brakes in your opinion? I would like to use yellow but traditional red would be fine as well. The car is a 2017 Subaru Outback Touring,
White. Thanks again for all your help. Karl
+Karl Arndt it's just personal preference. Whatever color you prefer
That looks Awesome !!!!!
what about the temperature? how much can the VIVID wrap handle?
Because this material deals with heat, can you wrap engine bay components, like an air bridge or upper radiator cover on a C5 Corvette?
If it gets as hot as a caliper or less and smooth enough to adhere then yes you can wrap an intake manifold or similar lower temp item. Dont expect it to last on say a valve cover.
So after about 6 months do you know how it held up? Any news from the costumer? Thanks
Yea all is good so far, no issues
Does the heat from the wheels make the film expand and detach?
Any news on that vinyl if still holding??
Looking to wrap the stock calipers on my Grand Cherokee, never wrapped anything before..any tips?
Wrap something else first
10+ hp mod Thanks @ckwraps
Thank you so much for the great video. just a question...what are you looking for when buying a degreaser?
totally awesome .......keep up the good work top job
Can't possibly last, the heat and cold will certainly effect the vinyl.
What color is that mustang getting wrapped in?
how much to wrap 2018 acura tlx aspec calipers in the same red colour?
Hi CK how much you charge for a 17 corvette grand sport on silver holographic rainbow?
+Montserrat Ramírez hi, it would be $3,800 installed
CK Wraps in what state are you located?
+Montserrat Ramírez we're in Toronto
CK Wraps I'm in Georgia 😂☹️ I guess I need to think about it, thank you for your fast response
nice work Christian
People always come to me thinking wrap is the CHEAP alternative to paint, and then they act like i'm raping them when i tell them otherwise...
Gyles Keene it is
yeah, it cost me 1,500 to paint my front bumper and skirts and likely would have been 6-7 grand for the whole thing given its an suv. on the other hand, for a basic color wrap, it would have cost at most 4-5 for the whole thing. wrap isnt cheap, but most definitely cheaper than paint
Did you guys move back to Toronto?
Bad ass.clean work.
What a pain in the arse. I think I’ll just try some covers, perhaps aluminum ones.
is it possible to wrap the caliper in one piece?
Awesome work.
Christian, Karl here, Question: brake wrap,
Do I need a 2'x2' sheet for each
caliper? Thanks in advance.
Karl
+Karl Arndt you should be able to get 2 calipers out of a 2x2 foot sheet
This was painful to watch for me. I don't have the kind of patience it takes to prep the calipers and def not to work all the crevices. I also didn't think it would look that good but I was wrong. Your videos.are great and make you think in ways you normally wouldn't when it comes to what's possible. Thank you!
How much would something like this cost?
How did they hold up?
Thats sick bro. 👍
Would love to learn how to wrap brake calipers, but lighting is very bad. You may want to do another one with better lighting.
3m does have air release though
Howblong does it last
Is this wrap reflective?
How long will this last?
how much did you charge?
so little heat to shrink it... why would this not happen at brake temps...
Can you wrapped my Camry xse 2018?
Looks cool but not for me i would always to be worried about the wrap coming off and locking up a tire on the highway or in city.
But keep up the great work love the videos. Thinking of trying my own hand at wrapping my tail lights one day.
Great wrap ...however, are those brembo pads lol
After putting this in an actual heat application, how do you think this film would do on a motorcycle rocker box cover on the top of the engine? If the film itself holds up, does the adhesive cure hard on the piece that it's going on, like a chrome piece that gets extremely hot, or would it be fairly easy to remove the adhesive if I decide to remove the film later on?
Master Mode: Engaged
your a beast.
Legend has it that he wraps his own contract lenses
really, contract lenses....c'mon man.....lol
Good thing its not a track car, this vinyl will still bake under hard braking
good job
Something like this as got to be easier to paint?
FARGO GEMINI How could painting possibly be easier than this? Just stripping and sanding would take longer than vinyl wrapping. And then you have to prime (3 coats 10 minutes apart) then paint (3-4 coats 10 minutes apart) then clear coat (2-3 coats 10 min apart. Not to mention the mess, the smell... Gonna wrap my mufflers now
Super boulot hallucinant
why not paint them tho?
you keep the original bake caliper and also the wrap grows in the dark. so wrap is like layer of protection and it looks better.
If you drive like me, aint no plastic going to take the heat.
Ron Howard?
Idk y he is lying red brake calipers adds 50hp for y’all who don’t know
