Trailing stop for sure
I've always said it's harder to know when to exit. I use an ATM now so I don't worry about it. It uses 2 TPs, trailing and Donchian Channel for final exit. Targets are previous Fractals. It also does partial stop losses in case it goes against my trade and then reverses back.
TSL is fractals start at 3.50 ATR, most distant fractal is 2, 0.50 ATR step.
Couldn't agree more.. Having a Set tp amount for an instrument helps.. you hit tp, done and dusted for the day.. but sometimes you just don't get your tp and this is where you think about exits.. I use a 21 SMA coupled with a Stochastic 21 period and price action to give me my exits and it has been working very well for me.. I have the 200 SMA, 21 SMA and 21 period Stochastic on every single instrument I trade ( only trade the NASDAQ and Russell), stochastic is purely used to help me with my exits if needed..

i use a fixed R:R (1:1) and occasionally leave a runner (75% profit taken at 1:1 and then 25% position left to wherever tp is. stoploss moved to break even after 1:1 given.)

Trailing stoploss is good for parabolic or health trend while in weak trend, you may feel pain somewhere 😂😂, I prefer fixed and trailing stoploss but I never tried partial profit cuz it's so complicated while it shrink RRR also, ✌️✌️

My exits have been so bad this week I didn't make any profit even after having perfect entries all the time
i'm combining both, i'm entering with 3 trades 2 are the same size, and the third a little smaller size and just trail every trade's SL with the small trade having it's SL the closes to price

I've personally used the trailing stop for most of my swing trades.
I'm also an avid day trader so I also utilize the automated trailing stop on mt4. Been catching some good day trades lately.
