HK Onyx Studio is on another segment like JBL extreme not Bose soundlink mini, how you can compare Onyx (60 Watt RMS) to Bose soundlink mini 2(18 Watt)? Onyx has the double of Vol and loudness, double drive diameter. Onyx is 10000 times better for quality of sound and power, no match
The depth of sound coming out of that onyx studio 2 is unreal. The Bose mini 2 has longer battery life, more compact, and sounds incredible. But I think Harman wins this round. Thanks for the awesome comparison.
Yea if you heard both in person you would have s good laugh. The Bose soundlink mini was a great sounding speaker for it's size, but to compare it to the HK onyx, is hilarious, I mean these speakers are no where close to being in the same class, in size, sound, power, etc... Something like the new JBL flip would be a better comparison, but this is ridiculous, I mean the onyx even bests the larger soundlink with ease, I own both and it's not contest.
Interesting you said that you own both, I was thinking of selling my mini 2 in favour of getting the Onyx. I've decided I'll keep the mini because of it's portability and battery life. To push this into a completely different class, the Braven XXL would be a great speaker if you want earth shaking bass.
this is the dumbest comparison, the Bose soundlink mini isn't even in the same class as the onyx. when the soundlink mini first came out I was impressed with the sound for its size, but it doesn't get very loud, and now days it's no longer anything special. The HK onyx is a great speaker and bests many of those in its class, but this comparison is just irrelevant. The JBL charge 2-3 , is cheaper and going to give you better sound than the soundlink mini.
I feel almost like this video implies that the mini soundlink can match the onyx lol, that's hilarious..... I noticed when it would switch to the mini the sound would boost a bit, this makes me feel the video is bias, because I'm sorry the mini in no way shape or form, can even compare to the onyx in the slightest, it would be like comparing a pinto to a corvette, it's irrelevant and pointless...
Did you really ask that, the onyx blows this little speaker away, the onyx bests even the larger soundlink with ease. The Bose soundlink mini is OK for a small speaker, but it doesn't get very loud, and sounds very radio like, almost sounding congested, not to mention Bose speakers are mid range, not offering much for Highs and true lows, while the onyx has highs, mids and lows, all present, with great bass, great sound stage, and it gets loud. My HK onyx trumps my beats pill xl, and Bose soundlink 3 easily, I didn't even know why they would compare the soundlink mini to the onyx, I mean atleast compare the larger soundlink to the onyx, but even then the onyx would best it.

The Bose is more balanced than the HK. but bass seems tighter on the HK which has very little in the mids.

as expected the Bose had lot more mids more details in sound. The harman as always good in highs but sucks at lows and mids

Bose серединкой удался. У Harman перебор с низкими и высокими частотами, что искажает звук. Точнее говоря у Onyx слабая середина.
